what is the whole tent weight? (including stuff sack). I'd like to know if this is light enough for UL backpacking. Thx for the links - I know what the site says it weighs, but they are not always honest or leave out stakes, etc.
Ivan, I found your channel a couple years ago. Watched a few, moved on to other stuff. Your videos recently began popping up again, and I gave them another look... I totally get you now. I subbed, and am now going back to watch all the content I missed. Thank you for your service to our country, and more importantly, for being a rad dad!
Now that your stove is "burned in" it will assemble way easier. It will roll up into shape now. And not sure if that brand of tent seam seals, if not definitely going to need to do that. Lastly if possible I try to get my stove on the leeward side of wind, keeps any embers from pin holing the tent
Enjoyed the video, thank you. Watching Peanut chilling was entertaining as well. Careful with that stove on the grass, it'll go up real quick while you're not looking and with that wind you'll never stomp it out.
I am the furthest thing from what you'd call an expert, but it seems like you could replace their chimney with some collapsable dryer vent tubing (not sure if you could find it in the size for that stove) and it'd be a much better solution. Easily adjustable, much more packable, and you would have a solid fit throughout the chimney.
Agreed, somethings gotta be better than that chimney that’s included. I like your idea a lot I just wonder about keeping it away from the tent with a dryer vent tube. I’ve been looking for something like this for winter backpacking. Wind looked to be another issue coming from the bottom.
Trust me I know about the stove pipe, my first one turned out like a backwoods cigar. As long as you don’t get the burn in to set you can reform the pipe.
Also they have a good video on rolling the pipe, they recommend using a broom stick to help lay it flat and say to roll it before trying to use it first time to get some memory into it to make it easier
I’d definitely look at getting some short sections of chimney pipe that can fit inside each other and be carried in a pvc pipe or something similar and then strapped to a pack, or thrown into the back of the SUV it truck.
I've got a couple good tents which I have verturally no use for anymore. But I like that little stove a lot and could definitely find uses for it. Maybe even in a tent.
Hope it works well for you. It’s a Washington company but products are made in China. The problem with this company is that as soon as you open the box, you void the warranty! You read that correct!
9:02 Did you say you want to cut some of that length off the stovepipe? It's my understanding, and I could be wrong, that you want the pipe above the top of your tent. Though, it has been awhile since I've looked into these.
Imagine freezing your butt off and trying to set that stove up. Doesn't sound like a good time. I guess you could do it next to a campfire though, that would help a bit. I always thought those stovepipes were supposed to just "pop" into shape.

+2 my Seek Outside set up super easy after the burn in.
@@craigrobertson6082 yeah that first roll up of the stove pipe not so smooth. Afterwards, it's like a snap band
Silly Peanut, such a good pupper

"Two fireteams maybe an entire squad" 😂 that chimney did not look fun for sure

Thanks for this most useful review. P.O.S.H. (pillows) is a uniquely British word, seldom heard overseas. You'll be drinking IPA next !
Plus one like for the fact my dogs name is peanut too!
love the camping stuff
Dude
Thank you for reviewing their stuff
I want to get one of their 8 person Hercules tents
The chimney is what keeps me away from hot tents.

Seems like a lot of draft coming under the edge of the tent wall, I'm curious how it will perform in real cold temps

I have been looking at tent setup with a stove for deep winter camping
Get some.
What brand name is your jacket ?
does the stove jack come installed from the factory?
Where did you get your tent from and how long have you had it

Camping with dogs, fun in a tent lol
How was your customer service with luxe? I ordered a tent from them in February, sent multiple emails and have heard nothing...
How long of a hike did you have to take Peanut on prior to filming to tucker him out?! haha
Just wondered if any of the product's in the video are made in America...?
2:51 a xenomorph is trying to perforate the bottom fabric
Wow
Peanuts getting fucking big
What type of breed is your sog
Now I really understand the carbon monoxide warning holy crap that chimney sucks
CO helps you sleep.
Thanks for doing a review on this luxe does a terrible job providing info or videos for their products
Instead of lighting the stove up on top of all that grass next time just light a can of gas on fire. You’ll get to the inevitable forest fire quicker.
