I’m honestly not sure how to describe the difference in Christina’s v Jenna’s Wednesday. Both are exactly what Wednesday should be…SUPER dry, near emotionless, etc. but they each pull off these traits differently and still can’t put my finger on how to describe it.
Either way, both are fantastic and iconic in their own way :)

Jenna Ortega did a great job, but I dont think anyone can do it like Christina Ricci did. She was absolute perfection as Wednesday. Perhaps I'm biased because I'm an 80's baby who grew up in the 90's, but her Wednesday was the absolute best.

Christina’s Wednesday is the Wednesday that you compare all others too. I think Jenna did a great job, and I don’t think her version is “worse” or anything, but Christina’s is just the epitome of the character for me.

The only thing I would objectively comment on is that the TV series Wednesday's is alot more superior then the movies not because the movies are bad or anything just that in the show there's alot more depth to these characters as well as story plot I wouldn't be surprised as some point after 3 or 4 more seasons in

She is actually the Iconic Wednesday. Jenna fits the modern role but nothing can beat Ricci's portrayal. She didn't have to meet her eyebrows to show an angry expression. Her expressions are effortless and she just actually uses her voice to portray the character.

I'd say they both give their personal spin on Wednesday. Just like Ledger and Phoenix did with joker. Christina's version of Wednesday is more indifferent to others' expressions while Jenna recognizes them but lacks the ability to interpret them. Christina is cynical while Jenna is just unfiltered honest. Christina's Wednesday is more like a rebelous girl who understands well what others want from her, but she refuses to play along or intentionally tries to annoy them with snarky oneliners, while Jenna's Wednesday shows actual sociopathic traits (toned down in comparison to complete sociopaths) and she sometimes is afraid of losing control of herself, like when she claims that she fears she may "do something horrible. Not the good kind of horrible" in context of burning down the school.
So in short, both are excellent as Wednesday, each with their own flavour of the role.
This was exactly what I thought watching this video and I didn't even see the movie before
I wish they would've let Melissa Hunter keep and continue her Adult Wednesday Addams series on TH-cam. When I say I CACKLED-
