The only cavier is that the business where he is recording may have a policy "not law" of no recording, but If the business has a CTV....then he can argue he has the right to record. Anyone can record your home as long as they are on the side walk.

    The videographer is not actually wrong but he wasn't diplomatic enough in his behavior. Restaurant is a business place for the public, therefore in a public place in the u.s you are not entitled to any privacy and it is legal in the u.s to video or record you in public. The minister would have just refused to engage him. Now surprisingly I heard the minister said he has a right, how many people in Nigeria can conveniently say they have right for anything.

    Aregbesola is still a minister in Nigeria meaning that he is still a public servant currently. What is the fear about? Allow the guy ask you questions and responds to his questions. That is all. As a Nigerian seeing a serving minister abroad, he has right to ask him questions about what he came to do in USA.

      Different States have different regimen of laws in relation to recordings. Some states would allow such recording while some won't. However even in States that do not permit such recording, all that is needed is to put Aregbesola on notice of the recording. It is irrelevant if Aregbesola accepts to be recorded or not.

    America laws by states differs. I believe this recorder must have taken this into consideration before recording Aregbesola. I also believe Aregbesola has a lawyer and can decide to sue this man for infringing into his privacy.
    One of the reasons why Nigeria will take forver to develop lies on some of our cultures and traditions. You cannot tell an older person the right thing to do even when they are doing wrong.
    If this Aregbesola was doing well in the interest of his state and people he governs am pretty sure he do be happy with Camera on his face.
