That speeded up version of Butts sound hysterical. Love to see it. I have accidentally gone to one of their videos with the speed set to 1.5. Cracks me up every time. You are correct that Adam Rupp - the beatboxer - is doing harmonica. There's more of it in Man of Constant Sorrow and Ain't Goin' Down til the Sun Comes Up (that one is only on their Facebook page - something to do with Garth Brooks' music arrangement). He is simply amazing - harmonica, drums, cymbals, wind, waves, birds, freakin' castanets. And he does a 7 - 10 minute "drum solo" in every live concert. Knocks me out every time. He is also featured in their cover of Listen to the Music.
This was one of Home Free's "Quarantine series" - videos filmed separately by each of them during the Covid lockdowns. Others in the series include: "Flowers on the Wall", "The Gambler", "Down to the Honkytonk", "Diamond Dreams", "Meet in the Middle", Moonshine" and a terrific collaboration with Peter Hollens "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For".
Thanks for your reaction! I think posting the " Butts Remix" at an accelerated speed would be fun and appropriate as the guys from Home Free have that kind of sense of humor. As you already know, Home Free and Voice Play are good friends very supportive of each other since they met on the 'Sing Off' in 2013 (Voice Play's beatboxer, Layne, helped with the arrangement of "Butts Remix"). With Halloween coming up soon you may want to check out Home Free and Voice Play together in "Survivor- Zombies Vs Hillbillies".
The guys did a great job of this Johnny Cash cover. Made it into a jazzy blues style. And they all look like some sort of criminals especially Tim & Adam. Remember this was done during quarantine so none of them were physically together. They were very creative during that time. Love the background train noises. Adam's beatboxing is crazy good & so is Tim's low notes.
Love this! It’s one of my favorites of theirs. Yes, it’s bluesy to me and the beatboxer was doing the drums, harmonica and other sounds. He’s amazing. Love Tim’s lows. He just had that evil look didn’t he? This was during Covid so they shot this all at their own homes. They got the heights all wrong although they’re all tall over 6’. Good one boys.
Just joined, love listening to reactioners listen just starting to follow Home Free. Enjoy the ride. Again in a prison theme is Home Free's take on "Unchained Melody". Truely appreciated the fact that you give the 5 of them a larger portion of your screen. This is especially a good idea when you are reacting to some of HF very detailed videos. Be well.
Home Free is my favorite group and the harmonies are great. Tim is my favorite bass singer. Chance did a great job on this song. Adam is the best beatboxer. I like your reactions on Home Free.❤❤❤❤❤❤
On two occasions I've been to their concerts in which they have damaged the speaker system with their vocals the first was Tim Foust with his low notes. the second was Adam Rupp during his Beat Boxing Solo. They are forces to recon with. Although I have not seen or heard of Adam Chance to so I still have strong respect for his vocal abilities.
Of course we want to see it!! When they told Darren they wanted him to do an arrangement for this, he asked what he was supposed to do with such a classic - and Tim told him to "make it swampy". Whether "swampy" translates to barbershop or blues, or country - I have no idea.
Both Home Free and VoicePlay send their material over to Ed Boyer, the audio engineer whos mixes for the major acapella bands, including Bass Gang you need to check out as well.
End Of the Road, Unchained Melody, When a Man Loves a Women, Helplessly Hoping, Stand By Me, Misty Mountain is mind boggling!!! Brothers in Arms, Mayday. That should get you started
The harmonica sound is Adam Rupp the beatboxer playing the nomonica HAHAHA That is what he calls it he has taught Austin how to do it and from the concert on the 22 nd he has also taught the new guy Bastien how to do it. He does have a video where he tells you how he plays the nomonica.
I've never heard butts faster. Fun fact Layne stein wrote that arrangement for home free after they gave him the input on songs (they're friends). Also October is owned by voiceplay. They're Halloween themed covers are meant for a playlist for the season.
Thank you for a great reaction to a great video! I’d like to hear your reaction to a Home Free original song. Maybe Catch Me If You Can (upbeat) or I’ve Seen (a bit slower). Thanks again!
You should check out Tim Foust buddy Geoff Castellucci of VoicePlay. His cover of this song that he actually filmed in a decommissioned prison cell block. Both covers are top notch.
Oh, tge sound of my youth. They take you to church! Such soul. All 3 are lead singers. Mama told me not to come is such a fun one. Do live versions when you can. They are performers!
If you liked adam rupp if home free beat boxing Check out adam upp drum solo ...the one where he has red flannel shirt! His beatboxing willblow your mind❤
Idk what it is, but you all are very flippant with ALL THIS TALENT!!??? I don't understand how Tim hits one of the lowest bass notes that there is and.. you do not even mention ?? and call them 'barbershop' like?? Don't understand why or maybe yall don't even realize what an achievement 'acapella' is and to make it sound like this..? Sorry do not understand your 'going through the motion' style of reacting!!! Keep up the good work!
If you want to hear Adam Rupp wail on the "nomonica", check out Workin' for a Living.
And "ain't goin down til the sun comes up "!! ❤❤
And "Man of Constant Sorrow".
Post it!! We'll just put our settings at 75% LOL
Yeah can we not just change our play speed slower?
@@R989D we can...under settings. The sprocket/gear looking icon.

I agree with that one comment. Tim's dark smile during that one low note.. Swoon lmao 🤣
They always have such great arrangements, often done by their usual arranger Darren Rust. Chance & Tim just cannot be denied in this one !
HOME FREE doesn’t do covers they do upgrades

Love this great cover by #HomeFree! Yes, Adam Rupp does the “no-monica” and all the other percussion/beat-boxing/train/cocking the gun, etc.
For more “nomonica” plus just insane Adam Rupp-ness I would recommend “Ain’t going home till three sun comes up” he has a crazy percussion solo

❤️🤠# HomeFree. Amazing. Great reaction. 🏠🍟
Love this one. Thanks for the Home Free reactions!

Geoff Castellucci also did this song.
He rented a prison for it.
These guys have unreal talent there is nothing they can’t do deep rabbit hole later ❤️😎🇺🇸🤘

#HomeFree 🤘🤠🤘
Adam Rupp is their beatboxer he is the one that does the harmonica sound we call it his Nomonica.
Yes, the beatboxer was making the harmonica sound (fans call it a nomonica).
Sounds like it would be a hoot. I say play it.😊
I'm also in South Florida...I'm in Kendall area
Post it!! It's always one of our favorite reactions!
These boys did an amazing rendition of this song. I think Johnny Cash would be happy.❤❤❤
Please post it!! We love seeing people react to all of their songs, but the Butts Remix is one of my favorites. Thanks!
I think it's supposed to sound like the train moving and train whistle.
Of course we want to see it!!

Watch their collaboration with the Oak Ridge Boys when they all sing Elvira!!

Now you need to react to Geoff Castellucci's cover of this same song!
I would say that Austin is probably being a train whistle, and he does it well.❤❤
I've never heard butts faster.

Post, post, post 🙂
Thank you for a great reaction to a great video! I’d like to hear your reaction to a Home Free original song. Maybe Catch Me If You Can (upbeat) or I’ve Seen (a bit slower). Thanks again!
Adam Rupp, their beat box guy does do a harmonica. See Man of Constant Sorrow.
aka nomonica
If you can possibly go to see them do it…you won’t regret it!
Home Free is doing concerts in both Tampa and Melbourne FL in Dec
You should check out Tim Foust buddy Geoff Castellucci of VoicePlay. His cover of this song that he actually filmed in a decommissioned prison cell block. Both covers are top notch.
Tim, Chance, Rob, Austin, and amazing beatboxer, Adam

There is NOBODY better at acapella than Home Free! Period! ZERO instruments...
Definitely different then Johnny Cash's version but I bet Johnny would have loved this ❤🎉
Oh, tge sound of my youth. They take you to church! Such soul. All 3 are lead singers. Mama told me not to come is such a fun one. Do live versions when you can. They are performers!
Great reaction.
For the butts remix, you could just slow the entire recording down 25%, so you guys's be a bit slow, buy the video would be normal.
I love the Butts remix
I would like to see the faster Butts Remix - could be a lot of fun anyway!
Post! Post! Post! Butts!

These guys are great singers and performers but they're not the storyteller that Johnny Cash was
Your sound is gone before the video even starts
