Da haben wir uns in Cimarron um 10 Tage verpasst :-) Mein Trip war von New Jersey nach Kalifornien, meine Tochter besuchen. Vielen Dank fuer die super Videos!
Thanks for the great review! I have lived here since the early 1980s and am glad to see visitors starting to see how much it has changed. Safe travels!
Very cool I just discovered your channel I just recently bought a Triumph Tiger Adventure Bike and have been watching all the adventures people go on so I subscribed to you thank you for taking US along with you .. Binge watching your channel now 🤪
You're a very Unique person 🙂👍🏻 The way you Choose roads & Places... make so interesting to keep up with you 😁😃 You make me leavening my Sofa 🛋☺ every time while I'm watching 👀 Thanks for the Journey.... All I can say..yebeeeee😁😄 Wish you the best always... Be safe....👍🏻🧡 🙂🌴🇸🇦
I've lived in and around OKC my entire life. Thank you for the positive review. While I wouldn't describe my city as a "hot spot" necessarily, it has certainly made huge strides over the past twenty years to become more of a major city. It's done many things right (but OMG the traffic has gotten so insane).
I think it’ll be a hotspot by the end of this decade. Traffic has gotten fucking nuts compared to what it used to be but thankfully it’s still not as bad as Dallas or austin(for now). I live in Hollywood but have a house in the OKC suburbs and I always love being in the big town. Good video!
Traffic is fucked. I wish we would put more tax money into our road infrastructure. Would increase productivity in many ways but can only hope with how "red" our state is. It definitely has its perks like constitutional carry but the roads do suffer
The changes in the metro from the 80s to now have been staggering. For others reading: I realize we may not be worth a flight but if you're within a day's drive, consider visiting for a long weekend. We have some great stuff!
It was pretty bad even 43 years ago when I lived in OKC. We called it ‘Zoom City’. I lived on the West side near Wiley Post Airport but had to commute to downtown where my office was on the top floor of the old City National bank tower.
"Der Astronaut muss los, der muss weiter. Wird man sich jemals wieder, jemals wiederseh`n. Man weiß es nie genau...". Doch, lieber Udo (Lindenberg), wir wissen es. Jeden Donnerstag sehen wir Astronautin Lea wieder und eine große Community freut sich auf neue, großartige Road-Trip-Videos - schau doch mal rein. route 66 is a legend, often seen in Hollywood movies. sometimes I want to dream of traveling like you. I believe that one day I can be like you. always healthy my friend
That dealer in OKC is where i bought my 2006 honda 599 new really surprised you came through i just started watching and would have liked to meet you awesome videos love it !
Love your channel. Glad I stumbled uppon it. My son and family live in OKC, and it is a cool place. I live in the Ozarks, and I think it’s one of the best places on earth. Happy you enjoyed it!
Just found and subbed to your channel. Route 66 is a very fun and historic drive. We have done it on sections quite a few times. Looking forward to more of your adventures.
Just ran across your video. I live in OKC and the funny thing is that I just had to go to Pampa, TX yesterday to install a point of sale system in a restaurant. Hope your trip went well!
I know you probably had the trip planned on a time schedule. I wish you had visited the Texas Hill Country. It has the best motorcycle roads in the state. Also east Texas is pretty.
Hello. This is the 2nd video I have seen of yours & enjoyed it. The 1st video is the Tail of the Dragon. I live in South Okc next to Moore, Ok. I grew up in Moore. My husband owns a Harley & he loves riding. He's been riding since he was a teenager & now he's in his 50's. He loves doing "Poker Runs". Since we have been together, we have only taken one road trip. Down to Medicine Park, Ok. (Cool place!) They had some sort of bike rally there that day. And we rode over to Meers, Ok to eat at a restaurant & had burgers & fried peaches for dessert. They raise their own long horned beef for the meat at the restaurant. (I can't remember name of restaurant now. Locals would probably know if you ask them. Or google it). We also went up Mt. Scott in Wichita Wildlife Refuge. Watching this video brought back some memories. Back in the 80's, my cousins used to live in Pampa, Tx & we visited them many times. Been in & through Elk City many times. Been in Del City so many times, I've lost count. I subscribed to your channel so I can watch more of your adventures. 💛🏍🙂👍💛
Wow nice area too. Nice too explore different areas that you have not seen. Every place has something interesting for sure. 🤓👍🏻😎🏍💨💨💨💨💨👍🏻🇨🇦. Look forward to next vid 🥂
As a current resident of Oklahoma and a native son of Arkansas, I of course watched with great interest this video and am so looking forward to your next one in which you travel through my native state. I do hope you were able to spend some time in the Ozarks and see how rich those hills are in tradition and natural beauty. There are so many great motorcycle roads in Arkansas, both paved and unpaved. Historic Route 66 in Oklahoma is filled with such a great legacy of vehicular travel and Oklahoma has preserved a large amount of that history. Terra Incognita indeed. Safe travels.
Great episode. I’ve never been to OK City, but maybe I’ll go now. I’m glad you saw Chihuly’s work, which I like very much; my wife and I bought a piece about 10 yrs ago and think it’s beautiful. Also, I was interested by your enthusiastic entry into Texas. I’ve visited Texas several times and am always happiest when I get to leave. And, yes, Rt. 66 is iconic, but there isn’t much of the original scenery left, I’m afraid.
The OKCMOA is top notch. Also, you can take a quick trip down to the Fred Jones Jr. MOA at the University of Oklahoma, or road trip up 66 to the Philbrook and Gilcrease in Tulsa!
I'm from OKC and still here. Regarding Route 66's "original scenery"-- a few years ago, in the west central part of OKC (on the old Rt 66) was a huge "66 Bowl" markee in front of the bowling alley that had been there for decades. When the bowling alley went under, the sign was still up, but what happened? It was soon dismantled and the property was turned into an ethnic eatery that offers not a single nod to the property's famed history. Sad.
Oklahoma certainly looks like a city worth visiting. I love the glass art. If the botanic gardens are based on Central Park then it means their true roots are here in the UK, as Central Park was based on Birkenhead Park. Designed by Joseph Paxton and opened in 1847 it is considered by many to be the world's first public park. Another fascinating and beautiful episode in your journey - thanks for sharing
Great video! I really like the drone footage you incorporate into this video. Your recording equipment, editing, graphics, commentary and music make your videos a pleasure to watch. Since you asked for comments, I live in North Texas. In this video you traveled through what we call the "Texas panhandle". You took a short cut through Texas on your way to OKC. Texas is a very large State, I'm sure you know that. You have the right Bike to ride through the "Big Bend State Park", "Guadalupe Mountains National Park", " Palo Duro Canyon State Park", and "Caprock Canyons State Park". If you like tall trees there is some nice riding in East Texas. Also, what we call the "Texas Hill Country" west of Austin and northwest of San Antonio, is very nice riding. Keep the shiny side up, and keep up the good moto-videos!
The wind in the plains states is crazy. Nothing to stop it or block it out there. On your next Texas visit, you should go to San Antonio and eat at the River Walk. Also, the Japanese Tea Garden is pretty awesome too.
Congratulations for your bike new tyre, good idea to change it, its always better to prevent than cure .. Great video as always excepted 👌 , thank you 🥰 Lea ❤
OMG..l missed yesterday's video.. But will l be excused ...l was moving into a new home...lol... ????? Video superb as usual...and love that voice...stay safe !!
Thank you for the video Lea. You saw the Texas panhandle and actually missed some nice off road riding along the Red River. Texas is huge and very diverse. Next time try to hit the Texas Hill Country and the Big Bend National Park area. Beautiful scenery and great off road riding there. Thank you for showing Oklahoma City, living in Texas it was a city that I usually just pass by but next time deserves a stop for sure!
Thank you for your excellently done videos.. it is refreshing to get another's take on the scenery and attractions you encounter ..some, but not all of us who have lived in the U.S.A. all our lives sometimes take for granted these wonders and will not get to see because they are always here!... we will say "I will go to see them" and never "take" the opportunity to ever do so.....
That’s the same with me and Europe! I know everything close by to ride in the alps pretty well, but to the further destinations I didn’t travel for a long time. It changed a bit with covid though, I will as well publish some Europe videos here on the channel soon!
@@Got2Go Exactly!....I watch as many videos from other's around the world moto-travels....as my my pocketbook probably will not allow it for now.... there is much of the U.S. I have not seen that I should!
I rode through OK for the first time about a month ago, and just did it again last week. Last month was my first time riding though OKC and Tulsa. Last week I, like you, accidentally came across the giant Route 66 sign in Elk City. OKC is a fsr more interesting city than I anticipated. You went to the Museum of Art, but I stopped into the Contemporary Art museum while there - it's also pretty good. I'm glad you found a dealer that didn't mind changing your tire despite having a different brand of bike than they carry (my local shop won't even touch the wheels of my bike even if bring them separately. Don't ever be ashamed or allow someone to shane you for your riding geared-up. The vast majority of people in the US who ride only do so recreationally for short trips. You went through the same states I did, too! NM to TX to OK to AR...(except you didn't go to Louisiana). Ride safe.
This brought back a lot of memories. I was a brand new field landman in the late 1970’s and lived in Edmond and OKC. I was on the road mostly though during the week and stayed at the Quality Inn in Elk City. I remember all of those towns along old 66 (now I-40) in western Oklahoma. We drove up to Cheyenne and worked in the courthouse there checking records during the day. After work we would race to the Flamingo Motel in Elk City and try to grab a slice of their delicious German chocolate cake. At night I would often swing West to Sayre and have a steak or jumbo fried shrimp at a restaurant there whose name I have forgotten. We acquired oil and gas leases from many farmers and others. The wells that were drilled on those Leases are still producing over forty years later.
Some ideas come back when we "live" in New Mexico,... "You're gonna be okay "... "The road", some chords came from the exhaust, some waves, just one song among many on a long, very long road trip, just a sea full of emotions, adventure and dreams... land of legends.... Heavy Horses , "Anyone can tell ". The city and museums can find and tell many of the historical events. Anything can happen, like changing old tires for new ones. Clouds of notes echo in "Only the winds". Stunning landscapes take you to the next level, it's stunning and impossible to forget....
Me too. Unfortunately you can’t really see the dimensions of the glass art in the video - it was all huge! Can really highly recommend to go to a exhibition of Chihuly if ever having the chance to.
Wow i loved the road trip, i always find what you do and where you go interesting.. Your motorbike looks amazing... Haha i waved back at you as the drone went up..
Glad you liked your visit to OKC, Now the whole Metro area is something to see with the numerous amount of unique museums some are must visits, One of the nations top Zoo's. Also the metro area has a great amount of history of the countries First Americans and how Central Oklahoma opened up the West. Some just random off the wall things you find in the Metro area like Guthrie Oklahoma having the nations smallest National Park 10x10 patch of grass with a tree. So much OKC and the Metro area has to offer someone visiting the great city. Anyone I know tells me they are bored I look at them and say Come on lets go! Now for the Texas Panhandle and WEstern Oklahoma you missed a whole of things. Amarillo, Canyon Texas area has a lot to offer visitors and road side attractions. Like Palo Duro Canyon, Where Texas The musical debuts each summer, Caddilac Ranch just outside of Amarillo, The Big Texan also in Amarillo. Also those pick up trucks you mentioned in Pampa those drivers of those vehichles were most likely Oil Field workers who start their day during the pre dawn hours. Hope you enjoy your adventure road trip. looks like you are having alot of fun.
There are a lot of different types of worker who travel around in pickups and sleep motels to get to where the work is. It is always interesting to see that completely full lot completely empty when I think I'm leaving early
Hey Lea. The drone shots in this video are the definition of “wide open spaces”. Spectacular. And you had an unexpected treat, getting your kicks on Route 66 , as the song goes. 😀. Hope you are well. Until next Thursday, Stay safe. Dan. ✌️🏍🇨🇦
Simply Amazing! I learn something new every episode. My travel bucket list is growing also with each episode, which is great. Keep up the great work and Ride Safe! See you next week.
Great that you were joining again! My guess is that next week might add another destination to your travel list - it was one of my favorite days of riding of this whole trip!
I'm from Texas. If you have the time visit south. The people are wonderful and the food is amazing and cheap. Safe travels. If you can go to K-River Campgrounds in Oklahoma. Enjoy.
If you come back to Oklahoma, go down south. Head east towards Wichita Mountains to Sulphur, to Talihina to Talimena Scenic Drive to Mena, Arkansas. If you have any extra time in Oklahoma, visit Beavers Bend.
Loved your video and the music accompaniment! I live north of OKC and thought you did a wonderful job of seeing and describing the sights and sounds of OKC. You are correct, the techs in Del City don't see very many cross country riders! If you had gone to a Honda / Suzuki dealer / mechanic on the outskirts of town, they would have been more familiar with that type of riding. Great job and drive safe!
Amazing that there are so few Canadians living in Texas they post signs telling you how far to the next one! Joseph wondered if that sign was telling you far to his cousin, Leonard’s place? Grand road trip. Excellent. Can’t wait to watch the next one.
Wie immer ein schönes Video 👍 Auch du mich war das jetzt Neuland. Die weite Landschaft ist beeindruckend, für mich immer ein Traum durch so eine Gegend zu fahren😀 LG Leopold
I moved from Detroit to Florida to Oklahoma City via a few states. It was cool to see someone else likes adventure..I just wish I could ride a motorcycle. Maybe someday.
Another fantastic video Lea!! There is certainly beauty in the vast emptiness of the Southwestern states. You captured it perfectly Lady! Awesome stuff. Ride SAFE and BE safe Lea! 🙌👏👏👏👍🤙🤘✌👌🖖✋😊
Beautiful Video Lea, From so much driving and fatigue you manage to make a perfect video, thank you 👍👀 Thank you for the video and enjoy a lot more in these beautiful places and take care of the trip 🙏👍🍀 Good luck and best regards to the USA from Germany 🍀✅👍 Moto Ljubo 😜🏍 👍 Route 66 👍
Texas is an amazing state where you can find all types of riding. You were fairly close to Palo Duro Canyon. We have the Guadalupe Mountains, the River Road Highway (170) which has some amazing twists and turns plus awesome views and a slot canyon or two, Big Bend National Park, the Three Twisted Sisters, plus the beaches and piney woods on the eastern side. It would make a series in itself to do Texas justice with all we have to offer.
Adventure rider got to adventure. Oklahoma has a robust group of ADV riders. Beautiful trails in particular on the East side of oklahoma. On your way through Arkansas check out the ADV rider group in Arkansas trails there are outstanding! Be safe
Your videos are amazing from the narration, history and cinematography. You have an amazing life that most people would envy. I wonder how people like yourself are able to afford this kind of lifestyle. Having family and 9-5 rat race makes it impossible to just travel and explore the world but wish I could. Thank you for your wonderful videos and wish you many more.
Always enjoy your videos and I now share them every Thursday with my kids! Next time you're Texas make sure to ride what is known as the Hill Country and also, one of my favorite places to ride, Big Bend National Park!
Thank you! Big bend I had on by list and I would have loved to visit - but it was so hot in the south that I decided to stay more north. Hill country is added now! 🙏🏻
I got a good chuckle out you stopping in Pampa. It’s an almost unknown town in the panhandle of Texas. My parents lived there for a couple of years. I moved from Amarillo to Casper, Wyoming, and ended up marrying a girl from Pampa. Small world right? Now I make regular trips back to Pampa with the family to visit the in-laws. I’m really enjoying following your adventure across this vast and amazing country.
I love the long straight roads, open spaces and wide open skies of America. Would like to visit again one day. Thanks for sharing.

I really enjoy your way of storytelling. Travel is full of many unexpected adventures big and small. Can't wait to see what happens next!
Glad you like okc me and my friends grew up here, downtown is where we go to skate sometimes and just enjoy the views
I live in Del City Oklahoma, and that motorcycle shop is the one I visit frequently. Glad you enjoyed your visit!
Adventure riding is very popular in OKC with Bill Dragoo’s DART adventure riding classes just south of OKC in Norman. Glad you enjoyed your visit!

Thank you so much! That’s exactly how it is. Open mind is the best recipe for adventure 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I work for the park that takes care of the museum in elk city. It's really cool to come across this.

"The road", some chords came from the exhaust, some waves, just one song among many on a long, very long road trip, just a sea full of emotions, adventure and dreams... land of legends.... Heavy Horses , "Anyone can tell
".
The city and museums can find and tell many of the historical events. Anything can happen, like changing old tires for new ones. Clouds of notes echo in "Only the winds". Stunning landscapes take you to the next level, it's stunning and impossible to forget....
You make every place seem like the best place. But Rockin that Cali license plate we know why you have such a big 💙 Danke
I have to admit I love that Cali license plate - was very proud of it 😂
I'm in Elk City. I love the back roads to Texas. Speed limit is a good cruise speed in my 73 240z.
Wow, i love glass art, amazing museum! 15 enjoyable minutes with you, T7 and cool road trip atmosphere! Next week then: on to the Ozark mountains😋🍿😍!
I lived in Borger and several other towns in the Panhandle during my life.
Dan. ✌️🏍🇨🇦
Yes; it’s absolutely mind blowing these open roads. 🤯 I really liked it that day of riding though 😍
Great episode!!! Enjoyed every second!
I'm from Texas. If you have the time visit south. The people are wonderful and the food is amazing and cheap. Safe travels. If you can go to K-River Campgrounds in Oklahoma. Enjoy.
very well made video !!
If you come back to Oklahoma, go down south. Head east towards Wichita Mountains to Sulphur, to Talihina to Talimena Scenic Drive to Mena, Arkansas. If you have any extra time in Oklahoma, visit Beavers Bend.
Hi LEA. Wellcome. Video is very interesting.
Thank you! 🙏🏻
Hello My dear Friend.I'm glad you uploaded another beautiful video. Enjoy watching your full video.May your journey always be beautiful🌷🌷🌷👍👍👍🌲🎉
Thank you so much! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Amazing that there are so few Canadians living in Texas they post signs telling you how far to the next one! Joseph wondered if that sign was telling you far to his cousin, Leonard’s place? Grand road trip. Excellent. Can’t wait to watch the next one.
@@Got2Go Abwechslung tut fast immer gut. Dafür sorgst du sowieso 😜
Wow another grey trip.
Very nice video, greetings from your fan in Argentina!!
Hello to Argentina 👋🏻
wow amazing cant wait for the next one
Thank you! 🙏🏻
Thank you so much! Hope to see you again next Thursday - with a not so empty landscape then 🤗
Good video..!!!👍
Another great video
Supab traveling vlog, best of luck love from India ❤
Great video !!
Thank you!
Thank you so much for joining the trip like each Thursday!!!
I really like your videos that emphasize the beauty of nature, and I almost don't want to miss your very good videos❤👍
Thank you so much! Hope to see you next Thursday again then!
Adventure rider got to adventure. Oklahoma has a robust group of ADV riders. Beautiful trails in particular on the East side of oklahoma. On your way through Arkansas check out the ADV rider group in Arkansas trails there are outstanding! Be safe
Good Job.
We lived in Pampa for several years. Hope you had dinner at Dyer's BBQ. Next time in Texas visit Amarillo, Palo Duro Canyon and Caprock Canyon.
Glassblower artist Dale Chihuly is from my home state (WA). 😉
Lovely weather 🥰
Yes, perfect weather!
Gostei do video. Abraços. Brasil.
