What a wonderful first video to dip my toe into the genre of ASMR for. That first line with the "you want headpats and cuddles, dont you" made me smile alone, by myself in a dark room like an idiot, which, given Aspergers, is hard to pull off autonomous reactions like that. I haven't had access to affection in a few years now. Never felt more comforted and put my insomniac butt straight to sleep. Now just to find tons of videos like this. Great work!
I tell myself that, but I've been so long without warmth from people that the part of me that's hungry for it is starting to go dormant. I'm not sure which would be better for me. To continue to be hungry for touch and affection but never be able to feed it in the hopes I will in the future, or to finally let that part shut down and limit the problems it causes, but also shutting myself off to potential good in the future. Either way, it could always get better? One day at a time. I favor the sleep aid audios, it's the only time I ever heard words that feel loving, affirmations, that I'm loved. Probably not the best to use these and take so much comfort in hearing it from these audios, but I don't hear it elsewhere, and the warmth really does help me sleep. For a persistent insomniac, I cannot ask for more.

From what you've said, I'm guessing you're like me and are an anxious person [hence why I write comfort scripts for anxiety xP], and, unfortunately, it's not something you can "do differently" to have a different outcome. It's a set of thought patterns that are deeply ingrained and will take a lot of time/experience to overcome. What I can offer in terms of advice: feel your emotions and once they've calmed down think through in a slow + methodical way the thoughts that lead to your emotions. I personally consider the worst case scenario to help put things in perspective. Using your example, you ask your friend for a hug. What would they do? If you said to them "hey X, I've had a really shitty day, can I have a hug?" how would they respond? That's a reasonable enough thing to ask of someone, so the most negative thing would be a fairly plain no [which stings, but isn't the end of the world, you know?] Rewrote this like 5 times trying to be concise. Hope this helps dude, cheers ^.^

Ok this video made me want to speak and what better place is there the the comment section? So from the time I really got into audio rps I didn't touch the shy listener things too much, since I can't imagine myself being as shy as some scripts suggest. This one however made me realise how much it fits my past self. This is exactly what I would do in this situation, but if I didn't change like 6-8 years ago. For anyone wondering and/or wanting to stop being shy as well, then my way is stopping giving a fuck and going on, I know it might not fit everyone, but gradual implomentation(hope I prnounced that right) really helped me overcome my shyness also you can make short plans, like repeating your order to yourself while waiting in a line just don't try planning out an entire day or a communist society this may take you to a 4 hour long discussion with yourself. All in all lots of thanks for reminding me how I improved and have a good life, everyone
