Dreamcatcher is so underrated in other asian countries. Such as my country - Vietnam. Most of Kpop fans here don't care much about other groups, they only stan really popular groups (i don't want to mention their name in case of misunderstanding). Although dreamcatcher has talent and their music videos are stunning, their songs are amazing, their visuals are amazing, etc.
The killing part was by Handong, who currently falls 5th in line of their vocal line up (if you can believe it). Unlike other groups, DC plays their cards by strength; whoever fits the line the best not by popularity or other influences. btw, handong has a beautiful voice which is one of the reasons she gets more parts in Bsides than the title tracks; titles are more heavy as you've noticed. Déjà vu was a collaboration w/ a online Game (Kings Raid). Lot of talk about the plot, but like every story they all revert back to classic literature like Macbeth, betrayal for the throne. Yoohyun kills her friend Jiu and gets rid of the others (exiled, imprisoned, and killed as illustrated at the start of the M/V). While she finds herself alone on the throne, she's having illusions/flashbacks like Macbeth, which has been interpreted as "deja-vu" is my guess… However, the lyrics follows the story line of Kings Raid (oh man, that's another saga) which is why ppl get confused trying to match the lyrics w/ the M/V.
5th in line? I imagine that puts Siyeon, Yoohyeon, JiU and SuA above her, but I'm wondering what metric you're using. I've certainly never heard of any "official ranking" for where the members fall in any given category; aside from the usual main and lead titles, DC don't really roll like that...

There are so many reasons: Its a small company, their music is mixed with rock and metal elements (that is not popular in Korea), and because they usually have "intense" songs (people prefer light and catchy music). At this point they didn't have a win. This song in particular had lost last year under Everglow (there were some strange things with numbers that time, but it was not Everglow's fault). We are waiting their next comeback, maybe things are diferent (sorry if I made mistakes, english is not my first language).
They're not 'media darling' in SK. medias almost never hype em up or reports about their achievements. And also the intense sounded music is the least general public expected from a female idol group.
*BRIEF EXPLANATION OF THE MV AND CONCEPT* So this video is about a powerful Queen who rules with her 6 friends but then one of them starts to greed for power. The Queen spares their life and throws the the sword away but the traitor stabs the Queen in the back. The ending of the music video shows how the traitor gains power but lost all her comrades. I think it would make more sense, they being sisters, since the oldest (JiU) would obviously take the throne, only one of the sisters (Yoohyeon) who admired the throne ended up sitting on it and being dominated by him and wanting him completely for her. But somehow, JiU knew and decided to face his younger sister (Yoohyeon) who pretended to be innocent all the time, making JiU have a little fight (in the case of the scene where some things on the castle roof are falling), but soon JiU let Yoohyeon go, after all she hadn't done anything yet. Yoohyeon somehow managed to "kill" JiU after that (I imagine it was poisoning, but anyway JiU just fell unconscious, looking dead, since in the end she ended up waking up to stop her younger sister) So Yoohyeon eliminated the sisters, as she was the third youngest of the 7 sisters to inherit the throne. As SuA would inherit the throne after JiU's death, she ended up arguing and totally disagreeing with the younger sister's ideas and decisions (Yoohyeon), SuA then decided to abandon her life as heir and left the castle forever. After SuA, it was Siyeon, who burned to death in the room where they set fire. Later, Handong was charged with the death of his older sister (Siyeon) and was imprisoned in the dungeon forever. And finally Yoohyeon decided to eliminate her two younger sisters, Dami was trapped in a room that only had mirrors, where she would live her whole life with her own reflection and Gahyeon was placed in a forest from which she would never find a way out. Finally, JiU tried to fight Yoohyeon, only soon after, tired of everything, she finally gave up on the fight (what I believe is JiU believed that Yoohyeon finally had given up on everything) but then Yoohyeon stabbed JiU on her back while she was leaving. Finally Yoohyeon got what she wanted, but she was left alone and consumed by evil. Edit: I'm not good at English, so I'm sorry for any mistakes.

So, about the lyrics - in a interview, Dreamcatcher said the meaning of the song is about sacrifing all you have for a condemned dream and never giving up on it despite the inevitable failure, each try being your new Deja Vu. It's about confronting this ideia and trying to prevail over it. According to JiU: "It gave us the challenge to try and express the image of the confusion of dreams within dreams and having a goal that you can’t give up on, no matter how you are interrogated." This ties to the lore of the game this song was made for King's Raid, where the main character is corrupted by a dark force and his love interest decides to join him on the dark side as to not leave him alone, even if she knows the chance he and she turn good again is minimun. When I first read the lyrics, my interpretation was that the song was about an abusive relantionship the singer can't get out, and each cycle is a "Deja Vu". I guess this is what art is all about, each person will find their meaning of the song in the middle of the clash bewtween confusion and hope the song is thematically expressing.
Finally DREAMCATCHER🤩 they are hidden gem in kpop that why mostly people didn't find them yet and always go for popular gem but I hope SOON they find it 🤗💕

I made a short video explaining it for those interested. most of their mvs and lyrics need to be separated. the mvs tell one story and the lyrics are 'their' story. the theme in many of their lyrics repeat in a lot of songs.

The best female vocalists in Kpop. Dami is the best female rapper and also has a beautiful singing voice. All the girls can take any role in a girl group; rapper, main vocalist, lead vocalist, lead dancer, main dancer. They are utterly unique and have had to struggle against the KPop industry which prefers uniform cookie cutter groups and has a disdain for rock music. Also, besides being beautiful, as you watch their behind the scenes vids, you will see they are total crackheads and are as delightful to watch as Twice.

I think the song is a song of grievance of how we go on in life achieving our dreams then feeling empty with the loss of loved ones we have abandoned. This loss strikes grief to us blaming ourselves leaving endless pain with our only escapes are our delusions where our loved ones are with us and alive, our Deja Vu.
The beginning of the video is the false memory. Yoohyeon, the one with grey/blue hair, sees herself as the victim of a cruel queen, JiU (with blonde hair), and she has no choice but to kill her and take the thrown. In her delusion she believes herself to be a hero in her friends eyes, but that delusion begins to breakdown at JiU's funeral as they morn the Queen they loved. One by one they leave her and she has no choice but to face reality. It was her lust for power that drove her to attack JiU, and when JiU showed her mercy, she used it to stab her in the back. At this realization, that she has killed her best friend and/or lover, Yoohyeon goes berserk, and possibly kills some of the other members, leaving the thrown room in shambles and only the ghost of JiU remaining by her side.
I think its pretty clear, yoohyeon imagines her friends and jiu as plotting against her, then end up backstabbing jiu and destroying the beautiful palace they had, in the end sitting on a throne alone, with just a big hole instead of a palace. jiu is shown pretty much dead, turning into butterflies. yoohyeon is always the problem child in their videos lol.
I think this can be interpreted in different ways. On the surface, Yoohyeon (blue hair) in her lust for power, betrays her comrades, returns JiU's mercy with murder, unleashes chaos, and finally sits alone on a desolate throne tormented by memories and regrets.
This video is an artistic masterpiece. The song is as well, tbh. The visuals are just beautiful. I don't know what's going on, but somehow I want to know more.
Their title tracks are amazing but they are known for their Bsides tracks. DREAMCATCHER had amazing vocal, not only one best, but all of them had amazing vocal. And Dami's rap just... OW! So good and catchy. Their music so unique, that's make them so different from others group.

The best female vocalists in Kpop. Dami is the best female rapper and also has a beautiful singing voice. All the girls can take any role in a girl group; rapper, main vocalist, lead vocalist, lead dancer, main dancer. They are utterly unique and have had to struggle against the KPop industry which prefers uniform cookie cutter groups and has a disdain for rock music. Also, besides being beautiful, as you watch their behind the scenes vids, you will see they are total crackheads and are as delightful to watch as Twice.
I count myself as InSomnia but although Dami is a great rapper, the best female idol rapper is clearly Soyeon from (G)I-DLE.

The name of the girl with the voice you like is Jiu, the group leader and visual, she has purple hair in scream and here she is the blonde one
I think the song is a song of grievance of how we go on in life achieving our dreams then feeling empty with the loss of loved ones we have abandoned. This loss strikes grief to us blaming ourselves leaving endless pain with our only escapes are our delusions where our loved ones are with us and alive, our Deja Vu.
The beginning of the video is the false memory. Yoohyeon, the one with grey/blue hair, sees herself as the victim of a cruel queen, JiU (with blonde hair), and she has no choice but to kill her and take the thrown. In her delusion she believes herself to be a hero in her friends eyes, but that delusion begins to breakdown at JiU's funeral as they morn the Queen they loved. One by one they leave her and she has no choice but to face reality. It was her lust for power that drove her to attack JiU, and when JiU showed her mercy, she used it to stab her in the back. At this realization, that she has killed her best friend and/or lover, Yoohyeon goes berserk, and possibly kills some of the other members, leaving the thrown room in shambles and only the ghost of JiU remaining by her side.
I think its pretty clear, yoohyeon imagines her friends and jiu as plotting against her, then end up backstabbing jiu and destroying the beautiful palace they had, in the end sitting on a throne alone, with just a big hole instead of a palace. jiu is shown pretty much dead, turning into butterflies. yoohyeon is always the problem child in their videos lol.

I think this can be interpreted in different ways. On the surface, Yoohyeon (blue hair) in her lust for power, betrays her comrades, returns JiU's mercy with murder, unleashes chaos, and finally sits alone on a desolate throne tormented by memories and regrets.
