To your last statement , interestingly in the English speaking Caribbean historical its the mother's lineage that matters most. Post slavery, your cultural identity tends to be determined by your mother ( becasue most of the time children are raised by their mothers)

Yes. I agree. And, that's why the word "Black" is only a social construct. Created and used by white men to only show the difference between them and us, i.e. people of mixed heritage outside of what they deemed as "pure" or like them. Thus, being "Black" is very much cultural and the region can differ like America or the Caribbean because Africans that were stolen and sold were enslaved in many regions. The only thing that has true specificity is to be ADOS because then the lineage should align straight back to those that were enslaved here in the US. All I can say is that the white people of the past were some clever mf'ers because this white supremacy and racism they designed has had many people fckd up till today. Thus their plan! Yes. I agree. And, that's why the word "Black" is only a social construct. Created and used by white men to only show the difference between them and us, i.e. people of mixed heritage outside of what they deemed as "pure" or like them. Thus, being "Black" is very much cultural and the region can differ like America or the Caribbean because Africans that were stolen and sold were enslaved in many regions. The only thing that has true specificity is to be ADOS because then the lineage should align straight back to those that were enslaved here in the US. All I can say is that the white people of the past were some clever mf'ers because this white supremacy and racism they designed has had many people fckd up till today. Thus their plan! Psychological bondage and its stressors and its aims of division last way longer after the body is technically free. Decades so it seems. God bless. ☮️🤍

I do family genealogy and yes, haven’t found one American Black person with 100 percent African DNA. I myself am majority West African but also Scottish, Welsh, Norwegian, Portuguese, Native American North American). My paternal great, great grandfather was white and I’ve connected with some of my Black and White cousins on that side.
