Love the video!! Being a ballerina, are you able to do everything you have to teach such as acro tricks? I'm asking because I would love to have my own studio but was never trained in Acro! Is being certified in Acrobatic arts sufficient or do you need to be able to do it yourself? And if you cannot physically do the skills, do your students ever ask you to show or question you on why you can't lol? Thank you so much for your help! Love the channel!

Thank you so much for your comment, love! I really appreciate it ❤️ I can do some of them, but definitely not all of them LOL. When I was younger I had my walkovers and a back handspring, but nothing further than that and I haven’t done those in years. To be certified, you just have to have a solid knowledge base on proper technique, anatomy, and a dance background absolutely helps! I rely on my students to demonstrate allllll the time! Which is a win/win because not only does it show the other student how to do it properly, but it makes the demonstrator feel really good and rewards them for doing it well. 😊 I’m a professional ballerina and oftentimes I will still have my students demonstrate ballet steps for those reasons. Please let me know if there any videos I could create that would be helpful to you 💙💙💙

Thanks for the video. Are you thankful that you purchased an already established studio rather than starting from scratch and building your own? I see an opportunity to purchase an established ballroom dance studio... Was wondering your thoughts

Hey, michele! That’s so exciting! Being honest, I’m really glad I took over an already existing studio. I watched my husband build a fitness business from the ground up and it was so much work with so many more financial stresses right off the bat... HOWEVER, taking over an existing business does come with its own unique challenges including doing one of the hardest things you can do in a business: changing the culture. This was something my husband studied when he got his MBA and we have talked about this SO much through my almost 3 years owning a studio. It’s incredibly difficult and takes a lot of grit and perseverance, but overall I do think it was the easier path overall, but definitely financially. Let me know if you want to talk any more about studio ownership! I love my job and would love to help people find the same joy 💙
