I love both of these, I prefer the grid inside of the boxes. I like the covers of the Hobonichi weeks but I was so freed to get into a Sterling ink so that the quote space was mine. I find the Horizontal layout great for journaling/health and the vertical for actual planning
Yes! If I were a “normal” planner, the vertical would be great but I tend to write things out. Using those back pages for recreating other planner layouts is super handy. A little frustrating when I mess up but what are you gonna do? 🤷🏻♀️🥸🫠
I totally get what you’re saying about things not becoming habitual after 6 months, same here. I think it’s because I am ADHD for focus (when I was little I was called a daydreamer LOL) and looking back as a speech pathologist, I responded to minimal cues for focus.
I’m ADHD too! If you didn’t notice. 😂 I need to change things up but sometimes wish I could stick to one thing. What does “responded to minimal cues for focus” mean? I’m curious if this is something that could help me or my son.
@ sorry, I’m a speech/language pathologist and that is a way that we describe how our patients or students respond. Minimal cues might include using a gesture to get them back on track, part of a word, small gesture, e.g., pointing, pointing to your eyes to indicate watch what you’re doing, softly tapping lightly on a page or the table to get focus back when your attention wanders, etc. Hope that helps (and yes, I try to catch myself, especially when working on paperwork or housework
I remember having similar concerns when I first jumped into the Sterling ink this year (2024) but they have held up beautifully! I agree about not wanting to cover the Tweed, Linen, etc. and I absolutely love the feel of the covers of these companies, Twines & Paper, and Just Scribble- I love the feel of these products (maybe because I also enjoy sewing, needlework, etc.
Thank you. I bought a N1 Horizontal Compact for Health and Wellness. I planned to use my Hobo weeks Mega in sushi but changed my mind. Excellent idea to use the weeks for decluttering. Love your paperless planner. ❤
Thank you for seconding my declutter planner idea. This gives me some hope that I can make it work! I am confident I can find a use for any planner if given enough beauties. 🥰❤️
Thanks! I’ve used a B6 planner for years and want an EDC that doesn’t take up my whole bag. This video was a very helpful comparison and helped me decide on the Sterling Ink.
Thank you so much for the Super!! I’m thrilled you found this helpful in making a decision. I’m using it as my EDC as well. I hope you love it! We’ll have to confer later and see how it did for us. 🤗❤️ Thank you for being here!
I love your ideas for the paper Tess! I have one and I have some beautiful decor on the cover and inside here and there… it is the book of ME for 2025. Health and wellness physical and spiritual and emotional! I want to heal in the coming year from many traumas and illness of many years. I feel like this little book is going to help me do so, and keep my progress on paper to reflect on. ♥️ I hadn’t seen your channel until this evening. I subscribed! 😊
@@sherbidabbles I have some stickers that are cotton stems and dried roses. They are all long stem. After I put them on I put a sparkly clear jelly cover from Salty Katy Co over it. I also have a butterfly sticker… I will have pics on instagram in a day or so. Darla_fhadley
I have 1 H weeks for spiritual, 1 PTD weekly for health and 1 H weeks as an EDC/wallet in a bujo format. I bought my first ever kinbor weeks and I don’t have a purpose for it yet. I’m thinking of tracking my youngest son’s everything in it. Thanks for sharing❤❤❤
It’s hard for me to decide what’s more fun/stressful (they simultaneously excise 😂): buying them, or figuring out how to use them. As long I get the chance to do both, I’m good. 🥹😬🫣🤣😭🥴❤️
Of course I watched it!! 🎉 I am trying to decide which one of my planners I have purchased to use as my food and health planner. My options are Sterling ink N2 or Passport or a Hobonichi A6 original. I am practising with each at the moment to decide as well. Thanks for your video.. can't wait to see the B6!
Practicing is VITAL. I got the health planner idea from My Dandelion Diaries and she uses an N2 Sterling Ink weekly. I love her ideas. If you haven’t seen her set up yet, go check it out! I can find you a direct link.
What I found interesting is when you use your one planner and the section within it for different activities or tracking. What I've started doing with the monthly is putting in highlights something big Happening on a certain day, I will write it really big and circle around it or something like that as well as appointments. Within my weekly overview, I track my health. For example period grams and headaches and stuff like that. Sometimes even what I did if I don't feel like using a daily. In my quarterly overview I track certain things like my period. It's better for the bigger picture. Sometimes appointments, but hardly as well as Birthdays, anniversaries , things like that or holidays. My daily pages are more for daily journaling. I also don't really plan my day in them unless it is really truly necessary because my day is packed.
The issue I run into with what month things start on is that I've personally through bujoing and my journey in paganism have swapped to my year starting at November. (Wheels of the year having Sauin as the new year and thus the "calendar" beginning with winter /nov 01) Absolutely no one has planners that start at november. So with most of these planners if I want to try them I need to change how I'm observing my year and my notebook. Or I have to copy layouts and print them myself lol 😅
Ooooh! So you may love the planners that start a couple months earlier - but you’d have to find photos because they “technically” start in January of the next year. My 2024 Cousin starts on December …. So I guess if you were to start fresh, yeah - drawing your own. Or photocopying and tipping it in. With loose leaf Tamoe River paper! Ooooh….. Feeling delirious now. Ha! Hello
The font of Sterling ink was lighter grey this year, but a lot of people complained that it was too light (I prefer the lighter grey as well). Papertess was a bit darker, it’s like they switched Lol
Interesting! I wonder if that was by design or just circumstance. I don’t mind either way - it’s in a comparison that I notice any of it at all, honestly.
I personally do not know but someone on Hobonichi FB groups may. I tried my clear weeks cover over the Papertess and it’s a definite no. But I do not have a cover meant for a mega so perhaps that would work better. If you find something, please come back and let me know!
Correct. You’re absolutely right. And it’s not that I forgot - I had a pile of pens to try right there next to me [alas no fountain pens - I haven’t used any in a long while] Rather, I misplaced my intentions. 🤣 I intended to tack a pen test to the end, but my I-am-my-own-worst-enemy tendencies ruled the show and I simply forgot. 🤦🏻♀️ For fountain pen users, it would not have been useful. Still would have been good to see though - I do not disagree.

First time viewer and I absolutely loved the chickadees! I tend to call my female friends and family ladybugs so I’m all about the cutesy nicknames!
Yay!!! Perhaps it will come up again when my whims take control. 😍🐥🐦

I’m a texture person too. Thank you for the reassurance!

Brilliant that you mapped out the pages in the Papertess first, why didn’t I think of that

Thank you for subscribing! I’m glad you’re here! Your ideas for the Papertess sound awesome. 2025 is going to be a great year! 🫶
Oh! Can you tell me about your decor in the cover? Do you have stickers on it? Do they stay well?

I got a PaperTess Weekly for health & wellness for 2025 too!! Am so excited to use it.
Great minds!

That sounds like a great way to stick to one book and have great use of all your pages! 😍

Just wanted to point out that The Sterling ink that you have is a compact layout, there is also a full year available
Full year = more blank pages at the back, yes?
Does anyone know if the Moterm cover the Hobonichi weeks size work with the Papertess?
I personally do not know but someone on Hobonichi FB groups may. I tried my clear weeks cover over the Papertess and it’s a definite no. But I do not have a cover meant for a mega so perhaps that would work better. If you find something, please come back and let me know!
You forgot a pen test. Paper quality is everything for fountain pen people.
