I was actually quite unimpressed with the mod, I didn't like DS3 and this one feels a lot like DS3 2, I rather have something that feels like DS2 instead to be sincere, an impressive mod nonetheless but calling it DS4 undermines from soft works to me, by the way the mod is kinda better than DS3 😂

I ain't going to lie, the Aldricth fight was a fucking cool mechanic. The boss starts with low health, with his minions healing him, and once you kill them all he starts with whatever amount you were to slow to stop him from getting? Fucking outstanding.
Prior to a recent update, the "Get off me" curse attack was BAD. It would instantly curse you if you didn't run away the instant he screamed.
The level of creativity in this mod is genuinely nuts
Yeah, until you actually look at it. Any versions of Deacons is a bunch of non-threatening dudes in a big room. Not fun. And Aldritch is just the same fight but worse because it's more dark shit in an incredibly dark room.

As someone who has about 1000 hours in all the soulsborne franchise, seeing all the animations and enemies compiled into one game is the truest love letter to these games I could ever think of. The creators of Archthrones truly know what makes these games fun, and decided to add to the already great formula in a way that’s just genuinely fun. Love this mod!

@@billywayne1007 Honestly I don't think it's his voice that makes it bad (though I admit hearing such a recognizable voice can break immersion), but the fact that the editor for his voice just didn't do anything to it. In Dark Souls, characters' voices have this weird echo-like effect, and ones with helmets or masks have it muffled slightly. While the editor has replicated these effects very well for every other character, they're absent for the Keeper. The only reason I can imagine they would do this is because they just REALLY wanted people to know it was Vaati.

Yep, the Heide Phoenix is absolutely the coolest boss I've seen in any of the dark souls games. It flying off to the tower to attack is something so incredibly unique and just put it from being like "okay this looks pretty good" to top tier
(just ignore the part of the Heide Phoenix pretending to be the commander Niall or O'Neil in the snow area of elden ring)
The idea of trying to stop a ritual and the boss having that amount of HP once it finishes is honestly galaxy brain

Holy shit the amount of effort and work that went into making this mod is down right admirable. With that level of skill they could easily develop their own game and try to make money but chose to use their skill to gift us with a absolute S tier mod

honestly, amazing work, i think the modding here is probably some of the best in the entire souls history... they basically made an entire souls game, and they did it in a way that honors the series as well as calling back to each title independently. other modders would have made like one boss and maybe one level and been done with it... the sheer amount of work here is amazing.

On the topic of reused animations and such, I will say I think it can actually be really cool, seeing how different certain enemies/bosses are when you don't have a given game's moveset. Like I've seen a bunch of enemies that were based on ones in sekiro (The carthus curved sword guy is an ashina general, the spear variant is seven spears, the fat one is a drunkard, the first boss of Eleum Loyce is the corrupted monk) and it's really interesting fighting them in an actual souls game, since my toolkit is so different from what I'm used to fighting them with. Even ones from different souls games can be interesting, especially ones from ER because suddenly you're facing them without the option to jump.

honestly I just expected the demo's parting gift to be unskippable 10 min credits
y'know lenny, having the add in the middle of the video with a "DON'T SKIP THIS" section for it, ended up making me not skip it. It did guilt me into not skipping it, but also most people do the ad at like, 3 seconds into the video, or 3 seconds before the end so

Him being vaati is kinda silly but the Keeper of the Old Gods boss looks so so cool to fight. There are others that have a cooler character design, but I love how fast and aggresive he is.
Trust me, he wasn't very fun at all. Balancing on release was utterly horrendous and he was in a constant go mode that made fighting him very very rough. The Sekiro and Elden Ring bosses are for the most part not adjusted at all to suit DS3's combat pacing and it shows. I ended up cheesing him with the Lothric Knight Greatsword's charged attack, which when fully charged would knock him down repeatedly.
The mod is very pretty and has good ideas but the balancing is so beyond fucked.
I've seen you accomplish some crazy feats, but overcoming that War Thunder boss proves you're the GOAT.
Honestly, I’m impressed by the work they did on this mod. Can’t wait to see the full version out.
