    Food at this hawker centre all looks delicious! Especially got bonus tracks at 5:20 & 5:40 !!!😍😋😛🤤
    The angle of your camera was so high & also shoot for more than 1.30 minutes on this particular store! 😆😅😂🤣

    Just show the hawkers stall .Don't need to show how they fried and chopped the meats and processed the dishes. This is a visit to introduce the stalls at the Food Centre and not food show of how it is processed.

    Hmmm, awesome tour indeed.....some great stalls and views too 😁😁😁
    Have not frequent this area in the past but the Hawker Centre has a lively & pleasant look - colour scheme 👍 🌻 👏
    Had to pause viewing for awhile as phone needs a recharge. Part 1 done and awaiting Part 2....thanks bro for the excellent content.

      This is my first time here too.. not quite familiar with this location.. but heard lots of good reviews from my ex colleagues. It's now made alot more accessible with the new kaki bukit MRT station. I noticed that this place has more stalls with some form of variation the usual bak chor mee.. like crayfish.. some one dish zichar stalls too.. I need to watch my own video over as I was too busy filming 😅

    Separate time segment to beginning of each food stall. Allowed the hyperlinked time to jump to each specific stall.

      Yeah.. good suggestion. I've done that before. But I may have a prob here as . I sometimes split each stall to several segment of the video just to keep it less draggy. But im sure we can still do a rough cut 😆

    I've been to Singapore a couple to times and loved the food culture over there. Singapore should be one of the top food tour destinations in Asia. Some of the best places to eat are also some of the most inexpensive. Just visit any hawker food centers and you won't be disappointed. If I lived there, I would not cook but eat out at the many hawker centers throughout the island.

    • @Piggypuggy
      @Piggypuggy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks Scott. This is uniquely Singapore coz of the move to get the street peddlers into a more controlled and sanitized housing in the 60s-70s. Since then.. it's developed a kinda culture on it's own. However.. it seems to be a trade that could be lost in time as not many young Singaporeans in our developed nation is willing to take on the hardships and average returns on being a hawker. You would see a huge number of stall operators (labourers) from other Asian countries just running the shop in coffee shops. So.. point is.. we have gotta treasure and preserve the works of some of these elderly hawkers.. now or never. Come visit soon ✌🏼

    • @vhg7
      @vhg7 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Piggypuggy Yes, I was going to add that these hawkers are some of the hardest working people I've come across. They preserve traditions and culinary arts that passed down generations but may one day be lost. It's a sad reality, but hawker centers are where you find the true food culture of Singapore. Singapore will always be my top Asia destination for visitation.

    Thanks for showing support and compassion for these hard working hawkers. I could not agree with you more. That is what I truly call blood, sweat and tears to make those pennies. They make it look so easy but the prep work behind the scenes takes hours too and yet they are all so generous with their sauces and condiments. Love the soon kueh, the hokkien mee (back-breaking and yet he still performs!) and aaahhh, that refreshing ice jelly. My ultimate favorite though is chendol. 🤤😋

      I really hope that Singapore keep this longstanding authentic food cooking/hawker centre atmosphere for the years to come. Majority worldwide cities are too modern, they all look/feel 'similar', lacking the 'special atmosphere'. Perhaps with some form of government support to hawker workers to keep the high standard alive (helping to alleviate some stress then younger generations will continue the tradition) as this is a major tourist attraction. Thank you for all your fascinating videos. With your very informative channel and Discovery Walk Tours channel, we will definitely be in Singapore for few weeks after travel restrictions. I'm sure lots people seeing Ur channel will feel the same!!! Every success and joy 😊 in all your undertakings.

    The uncle of the prawn hokkien mee is so hunchback. The late duck rice seller at serangoon garden hawker and market also hunchback. And some got oval shaped legs and Parkinson disease. Unless they throw in the towel and call it a day and follow by seeing a chiropractor, their hunchback will never be cured.

      @@juvezhang1715 Hawkers kinda like have to remain competitive on pricing.. I’ve a relative who did his best to serve a very good value meal for $5.. in the end.. the mass rather go for a $4 chicken rice that is of sub par standard. I realise only the famed stalls dare to price their items at $5-$8
