@Rex Rampage I’ve worked in the UK public sector for 40+ years, regularly coming into contact with ministers, junior ministers and their shadow equivalents. Back in the day, I always found them to be impressive and well-informed people, both Labour and Conservative. The decline in recent years has been shocking, though. Whilst there are still plenty of high-caliber individuals, there are some (too many) who, to be frank, I wouldn’t even employ as junior admin staff. Angela Rayner is one of those. She’s a decent enough person, but she’s way, way out of her depth.

I am a driving instructor so I deal with the young on a regular basis. One particular likeable/coherent lad was a keen Labour supporter. I said that the problem with the EU open border policy allows unscrupulous/terrorists to cross borders unchecked. He said that it was a small price to pay to allow free movement....As he was a pupil I refrained from stating that if his Mother and Father were to die in attack would he feel the same then??? Class sizes are big because of the 3 million plus immigrants let in since 2000,a large percentage of which have had multiple kids whilst living here, along with the kids they already had and brought with them.

My class in 1969 had 37 in it . I left and qualified as an engineer and others did ok to
I left a High School much later in 1989. I attained a poor educational standard, with only 3 GCSE passes. I applied to Technical College and then University and qualified as a Pharmacist in 1993....All this in a background of The Troubles in Northern Ireland, as we studied...Pity Rainer didn't do the same!

When went to school in the 1960s most classes were more that 30 and we had no or very little problems with learning or bad behaviour as most of the teachers were tuff as old boots and would come down on any misbehaving like a ton of bricks
