    Political commentators are obsessed with asking left wing politicians "where is the money coming from", but they never ask that to Tories. Liz Truss simply said the £100 million for knife crime was "from reserves", and that was just accepted.

      Broadly-speaking, I'd agree with you but, in the call with Natalie Bennett, she was throwing out much larger figures and in much more vague terms like "billions of pounds".

      conservative governments constantly spend more money on tax cuts while not growing the economy (spoiler alert: tax cuts for wealthy dont stimulate the economy as is shown all over the West). left wing govts grow the economy just for right wing govts to curb spending, but only spending for the people, not for their mates

    "Nobody gave me anything for free"
    Correct, we all pay collectively so we can all use the service. If some people can't contribute, our collective money covers that, that's how a society is able to function. Free at the point of use is not a difficult concept to understand.
    Some people are just thick.

    30:30 - This part of the show irritates me. The Green Party leader is correct in her assessment of PFI schemes. Some NHS trusts had investments of up to £500m or £600m and these contracts now run for 25-40 years and have been found to be detrimental contracts which have ran up public debts because they're not cost effective. I think the costed figures for building homes is where she went wrong in this interview.

    • @5556665012008
      @5556665012008 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      People take backhanders to award PFI contracts so that their new mates receive the high interest payments from the tax payers. Whereas treasury investment would be much lower interest & cost effective

    Just watched the PMQs and Bojo is rolling with the "I didn't know there was a party IN MY OWN HOUSE" defense.
    At this stage you just have to ask him: If you cant figure out how to keep your own house in order, how can we trust you to rule over a whole country? And 30 seconds after claiming he accepts full responsibility, this utterly shameless, disgraceful excuse for a human being just walked out of the chamber rather than face a point of order from the SNP... Could it be that the charlatan's charlatan will finally, FINALLY be held accountable??LET ME PUT IT IN A VERRY SPESIFIC AND LIMITED WAY Tick Tock Tick Tock Tick Tock from now on.
