This week, I asked international students at Babson College why they chose to study in America, the biggest adjustments they had to make, and best advice they have for prospective students!

As an Indonesian, we also do our own chores just like those in America.
Apparently the two girls had maid at home
im not... we just chip in to pay someone to do chores... and for laundry, a kilo cost me one bucks (for a whole week)
As an Asian I can relate to so many things in this video.

What’s a bidet?
@@ColbyMartel in some cultures people use water instead of a toilet paper. And for that you install a bidet, or a jet spray in your washrooms.
Portable bidets are for when you travel to a different country where the washrooms have only toilet paper.
Another option in south Asia is 'lota' which basically a spouted water can that you fill with water to clean.

It is a device which fires pressurised water up in your ass after you have dumped it in the toilet. You can use toilet paper to wipe your ass after the whole business deal is done.

If you still dunno what a bidet is, it's a device that sprays water on your *down there* after you did your business to clean it up. Asian and Eastern people find it more hygienic than using only toilet paper.

You are not entirely right about only the rich having maids and many Indonesian students get scholarships to study in America because they are smart, not because the children of rich people.
@@Robinhood-fl2gp Nobody says they're rich because they went to the US. This guy didn't talk about Indonesian students in general. Instead, he talked about those particular Indonesian students in the video as they were saying that back home they had people (maids) that help them with stuff.

As indonesian, i hate to see comments here saying "they're must be very rich, coz never do dishes".
I'm not rich, but I never do dishes. My mom does it. And then my wife does it. 🤣
Another thing, study abroad doesn't necessarily mean their parents is super rich. I'm a regular employee, but i manage to put my daughter into overseas college. At south korea. It's how your mind set put a goal, and think how to achieve the goal long before due date. You can invest and do some little entrepreneurship.
Me back then, buy a new car with installments (only paid for down payment) and let others to drive it as UBER (grab or GO). Once all paid, i sold the car and use that fund for my daughter overseas education.

I want to know if the international student with the playboy surf club shirts knows what Playboy is to Americans.😅 Lived abroad in Asia and my husband grew up in Africa (we are both USAmericans) and some of the English used is interesting and doesn’t always make sense.
Much like certain trendy shirts in the US with Asian writing on them that we wear around. 😂

Agree! For most America. It’s Expensive not subside by the government. For example, Europe a lot is pay from taxes for students to go. Tried to get a scholarship or full ride if possible.
