    I’d like to know how the Romans conquered northern Apulia without first conquering Marche? Was it by sea, or did they make alliance with the Umbrians and they allowed passage?

    • @marcustulliuscicero4065
      @marcustulliuscicero4065 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I can't answer with 100% certainty, however I believe that the Romans may have bypassed those territories and northern Apulia simply surrendered swifter than the rest of the Samnites. Mainly I think this because the Roman navy was abysmal at this point, and would continue to be until the first punic war. Titus Livius might have written down a complete account however.

    My wife is pregnant. If a son, SOL. If a daughter, LVNA, in honour of LINGVA LATINA, the coolest European language. I am Iberian of the original (non-Celtic, non-Germanic) stock.
    Glad Rome took off the child-sacrificing Carthaginian yoke from off our shoulders, and made my ancestors use Latin. Basques, who are Celts, preserve the ancient Iberian language they adopted long ago, in its modern form, so I have both the coolest language in Europe in my ancestral homeland, and my ancestral language. I have everything I want.

      Basques aren't celts, they're one of the few pre-indo-european languages of Europe who also had celtic influence

    Reunification of the Ancient Latins/Italians/Romans-268 BC, And I love The Romans, they are real Saints, and they had Roman Catholic Church from 27 BC.

      Catholics worship Mary so they are idolaters and heretics. At what point does veneration become worship?

    • @florincatana1645

      This is a Saint and neheretical Veneration, is a Christian Roman-Catholic workship, all have egality in front of the God

      Bulgarian empire mapping By the time they did that, the Republic was deader than fried chicken in all but name. You're essentially attacking the symptoms whilst completely ignoring the causes. Men like Caesar and Octavian emerged for good reason and for reasons conceived long before their time. They were simply two players in a long list of other Romans partly responsible for the incremental breakdown of the state, which can ironically trace its roots to the Republic's own success. It's absolutely retarded to pin all the blame on two men, who essentially laid a flower on the Republic's already nailed coffin whilst ignoring the actions of the greedy merchant class, delusional senatorial elite and violent demagogues who had been stabbing at the Republic's still live-body for centuries 😒

      Οταν αυτο μαρτυρουν οι ιδιοι και το επιβεβαιωναν οι Ελληνες, γιατι να το αμφισβητουμε; Υπάρχει μεγάλη πλειάδα αρχαίων λογίων που αναφέρουν πως οι Ρωμαίοι κατάγονται από Αρκάδες Λατίνους και Λάκωνες Σαβίνους, καθώς και άλλοι που ήταν Αιολιστές και πίστευαν πως τα Λατινικά ήταν εκβαρβαρισμένα Ελληνικά
