Mr. Bobinsky wears the liquidator medal, which was awarded to the civil and military personnel who were called upon to deal with the consequences of the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear disaster.
Sorry I couldn't make the live stream. Really glad you appreciated stories from two of the best British writers of children's stories - Roald Dahl & Neil Gaiman. What about a Robert Eggers remake, in B&W, where the worm burrowing a hole into the peach is a homo-erotic allegory? 🤣
Is not the rhino scene James casting off the fears and insecurities put on him by his aunts in the face of his new family? In this telling, the rhino seems to be metaphorical. If you imagine James doesn’t know how his parents died, that (should have been) the final rebuke of his aunts. He's not afraid of them anymore.

I have to admit, I haven't given the director for these films proper credit. I appreciate you making a point about that.
"His parents were gobbled up by a rhino." It was at this moment that I had to stop listening and go watch the movie for myself. 😂
Great video guys. Stop motion animation is so freaking gorgeous and doesn't get enough love.
I really like the section where you guys say absolutely nothing about the back half of Coraline but try to insist that it "fumbled" narratively.

I'd love a James Bond informed by the Venona documents, but you'd NEVER get the ok from Hollywood for something like that.
