I would offer a slightly different perspective of the INFP. We might also be extremely excited and in character to show off our costume we spent 80 hours working on and then get really quiet when we have to socialize.
Happened to a INFP friend of mine, he spent alot of time on his costume for our graduation costume day. His costume was really well done and took alot of effort but in usual INFP fashion nobody really noticed it and he stood on the sidelines until I (INFJ) went up to him and told him what a great costume it is and went around with him in show & tell fashion and tell a few friends about his costume

As an INTJ, I was too lazy to get a real costume for a come as your favorite historical figure party. I researched cats in history, found a WW2 navy cat, and came as him wearing black clothes, makeup whiskers and a cat headband from the costume store. I have also attempted hat + one additional accessory to pull off other costumes. We can definitely go minimalist.
As an INFP I actually love costume parties because dressing up as my favorite characters gives me more confidence and it tends to open up more interesting conversations.

I actually think INTJs are awesome at dressing up and costumes for multiple reasons. 1. It’s a chance to pretend to be someone else and not have to deal with being you for a night 2. Creative process, methodical execution 3. Amazing conversation starter, no small talk required 4. An outlet for their hyper fixations and obsessions (I feel like they are also the type to obsess over it being completely movie/book accurate if they get reeeaaally into it)
You're spot on here. Before I had kids, I would get up at 4 AM on Halloween to spend 4 - 6 hours applying face paint, liquid latex, prosthetics and special effects to my face and costumes. People treated me like a psychopath but it was a great way to get all the creativity out. Now I'm more of the wear-a-thought-provoking-t-shirt kind because I don't sleep anymore.

But ever since medical complications arose and life has gotten me down, it's been hard to do anything for holidays, including Halloween. I miss it, to be honest. I would love to dress up again and be able to go have fun at a party or with friends. Maybe next year.

I had a khaki shirt that I found after about 30 seconds at goodwill, the name of the local zoo misspelled on white paper to the front, and my actual 4 foot python. The costume wasn't good, but the snake made the kids think I actually worked at the zoo. A snake is a cheat code to an instant good costume I guess. The kids love petting her too. I'm going to be a zookeeper again. This time I have a ripped outdoorsy hiking hat I got at a yard sale to go with it. I'm really putting in extra effort this year.

i stayed home for halloween, me, my intp friend and istp sister decided to just hand out the candy. i put on some sunglasses and put a lollipop in my mouth, my sister wore a lyney wig and my friend wore a furina wig. my friend was a bit worried but luckily i planned it all out the day before lmao anyway i put a chair infront of the door and a bowl of candy, then they decided that we should stand infront of the door and stare down the kids, i put a mannequin head at the door and just stood there

The day itself is the celebration of everyone who ever made it Heaven. As an infp, I'm in my true element when I get to wear a costume. It fills me with energy and I really enjoy playing another character, so I couldn't relate to this part😅 I would be more like a weird happy person with an outstandingly good costume (or with a weird costume that only I see as good)😂
