I loved that show. As a songwriter, I loved that they got so many great musicians to make cameos. Joey Ramone was so naturally himself, they couldn’t help but laugh. A great TV moment.
Joey smacking the stage floor with a loud "thud" where it was supposed to be grass is too funny. Immediately breaks the suspension, followed by tripping over the cable in his trademark gangly awkwardness broke the scene.

Not a big listener of GNR and they dripped menacing attitude on video (par for the style) BUT I have seen Slash on a short documentary where he's on his own and he's like a little kid, blushing and giggling. That was pretty disarming. A death metal guy I knew was a huge bear of a man but after an outdoor concert he'd talk for a while and then say, "Sorry but I have to get home before I'm late. Mom's putting on a supper for me and the guys." Just another real person.
