yo dude your awsome!!!!! u hung out at our booth at namm too! remember baer amps? we were grouped with nordstrand and Skjold basses. i love this song btw can't stop listening to it! keep rocking!!!!!!!!!!!!
I really enjoyed watching Uriah play with Whitesnake while on tour with Judas Priest a couple of years ago. He has a P-bass(or similar in looks anyway) that he somehow integrated lights around the body that I wanted to develop on one of mine. This video is cool and I like the instrument, too. Odd-ball things like this facinate me. I'm working on getting an acoustic/electric bass uke that has these rubber strings that's equally cool. :)
My wife doesn't approve of the blonde streaks. :) However, I gotta say, that jam was really awesome. Sometimes a new instrument inspires a new direction. Keep up the good work!
Transcription? What's that? ;-) I'm a believer in making music by copying what you see and hear- like when we learn to talk. When learning a tune this way, I usually break the tune down into little phrases that can be practiced, then I string 'em all together. Since I came up with this tune, I just played what felt natural to me- still ironing out a few details though before I record it for real. Of course anyone's welcome to transcribe it if it helps!
@udawggy i have a bunch!. Groovin sunrise, 5:00 rush hour, sweet insanity, duel of stallions, seconds till touchdown, relaxing in chaos, or patience ala carte. Depending on if you like deep meaning names, humor, random, kinda weird but cool, really anything you want i can take a shot at. Lemme know what you think! you gotta get this on itunes so i can buy it cuz i want this on my ipod! haha u rock dude!
How did the tone of the corned beef sandwich compare to the Sopron? On a serious note, though, is the Sopron a piccolo-only bass or is it also available as a standard bass (unless, of course, it's just a matter of switching strings)?
It doesn't have a name yet! I do have a live recorded version I did at my show at the world renowned Yoshis Jazz Club in SF, CA. Send me your email addy and I'll send it over. It's real bass & Piano duet. Maybe you'll help me name it?
