This is goofy. How do you know he's going to throw? In a streetfight most people arent trained.
It’s widely accepted though that most untrained will try and throw a haymaker or a big punch.

You move first to force your opponent to adjust to you. Then when they are moving to get back into position, execute your favorite technique, whatever it is. He's just showing you the mechanics so then you can finish however you want. :)
