These things have us consider our relationships with bikes we ride, nicely shown at the end, reflecting the beginning behaviors of the three bikes. Um, looks closely and you may see the shift lever striking the pavement, bumping the transmission into neutral, while the rider expertly saves himself and the bike from a tip-over 😂. Well done! I’m working on determining my minimum possible turn radius as well as maintaining full control of throttle at slower speeds and getting reflexively familiar with the inter-locked Honda braking system. Mea Culpa! 😎
Simply the best explanation and video I have seen. Although I can read French, it would be difficult at that speed , thanks for the translation. I learned a lot today.
Thank you :) But... I don't speak about counter steering, here lol even if the geometric effect explains the counter steering effect, I don't counter steer :)
I do wish they offered this training in Australia. Any instruction is at a far slower speed and you are instructed to lift your bum off the seat to the high side of the bike, to counter balance.
This is not only in Australia, it is in many country in the World, even here in France... this is why I made this channel, to show another way of riding :)
They did have moto Gymkhana briefly and it all but disappeared about 2014. November rider training programmes here focus on slow speed control. You need to ask for private training, and when you take to the style is very different to this. The fully counter balance by literally sitting on the high side of the bike, and never use front brake. And they never break down the leaning sequence into any steps. Like I said I wish it was here as it is the most important skills to have on a mc. Lastly I do want to thank you for sharing the full breakdown of your inputs as for myself I find the details of the technique helps me far more than telling someone to just lean, or not telling them to not have any handle bar pressure when reaching the balance point of the bikes turn.
In another one of your videos you mentioned leaning the bike by using the inside foot peg to push the bike down to inside of the turn, and your outside knee to push the bike towards the inside of the turn. Is that what you are doing initiate the lean without any handle bar input?
Heu, I don't say to use the inside peg to push down the bike, I am sorry, it was somebody else ;) What I am saying, is to use the inside butt. And it is not initiating, it is doing the turn all long :)
May I ask a question on counter balancing. Most other styles focus on getting your butt onto the outside of the bike to counterbalance, but this Japanese style doesn’t do that. Not sure why the difference as when looking at say USA police racing, the speeds don’t look much different to this, maybe higher.
Very nice technical explanation. Very good when combined with practice. When you start to understand the physics, the effort of the turn is 10% and the rest is the bike’s physics. It’s also what my instructors call feeling the bike. Here is me doing some training practice: th-cam.com/users/shortsTmUGXJTMCEs?si=L7qO9O5cMGI5nSaz
Thank you :) Yes, it is kind a sort like that: the effort is reducing when you stat to trust physics and feel the bike. I am sorry, I can't see your video, the link is not working
Best explanation of full lock steering. Thank you for your effort!
Thank you for your comment :) I hope it helps
Always appreciate the english translation uploads. Thank you very much.

Thank you very much for all the efforts really appreciate it
Thank you :)
I will practice this technique next week. Sharp turns are my mission as I’m a new rider.
Good luck, I hope it helps :)
But you know, even experiments riders need to train to do sharp turns. It has nothing to do with experience.
Awesome content, as always. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for your comment :) I am glad if the video helps
This is a fantastic explanation video. Thank you!
Thank you too, I am glad if it helps.
If it is not enough to train, don't hesitate to contact us and follow a training course with us :)
Great explanation of the physics and technique, well done Clemant
Thank you :)
It took me some time, but I think it is great, yes
I enjoyed very much your explanation. I will put it in practice. Thank you for your good work. 👍✌
