Update: Tutorial worked great, and I restarted the phone! Just got finished charging it though, and it’s asking for a recovery email since the phone was reset. I have no idea what I put in for the recovery email, so now i’m stuck :(

Google accounts (email) and Android phones are tied together and tracked through Google. This is for security to help prevent phone theft. You either have to log in using a already known Google username and password or PIN previously set up on the device by you or previous owner (contact previous owner) or contact Google directly and get the Google account (email) problem sorted out.

Unfortunately, once a hard reset back to factory settings is done on a smartphone, it wipes/deletes everything from the phone and can not be undone.
