Keep in mind it caused a domino effect and basically the whole country was effected and then some.

Can we all take a moment to appretiated how badass are Ronin? seriously, the guys survived the second Calamity, sneaked in Presidia without been noticed, tagged defense points in the city and now fights against the Fed forces from inside the city.

Honestly, watching WMDs in work has never terrified me so much until now. 😖
Yeah... For the first time... This kind plane game made me shivers...
You realize it gets really horrific with those nuke moments when you think a bit balls deep about. Then the final one is, when Crimson 1 laughs like a psycho and fucks up your radar then sends a swarm of missiles at you. You think it is the worst possible thing for the moment and boom, he suddenly nukes the city. I honestly love this game's shock potency which is its own kind of taste.
Fun fact: Those huge docks resemble WW2 submarine pens, so ... *S A L V A T I O N*
Also, I'm pretty sure the battleship is a Iowa hull with zumwalt style superstructure.
Kaiser's quote before mission starts reminded me of the Commissar's quote from Call of Duty: Finest Hour in the first mission.
"Do not count days, do not count miles, count only the number of Germans you have killed."
I think it's a reference to that.

I think the devs are making more of a Free Cascadia move, since those states have actually had some small time communes pushing for it.

And also America could still exist but just in a not very great state as almost half of the country is destroyed along with very valuable farmland and the world being screwed up in the project Wingman universe as it is...
@@albernard8751 Actually if you look at the coordinates in the briefing it looks to be in Oregon, (I live in Oregon and i know 45 N is around Salem)
Edit: I looked harder at the coordinates, and it looks to be just west of Mount Hood
Edit #2: I finally found something using these exact coordinates, Presidia is right on top of the city of Hood River, Oregon

See, I KNEW that the Cease-Fire was TOO good to be true. And then that maniacal laughing, it was at that point that my fears came to life before my very eyes...
So this track, Presidia, is intresting because it combines Homestead (basically the lemotif of the country,) with Calamity, (basically the lemotif of the mercenaries, or so I think; it doesn't feel exact, but close enough,) while the previous mission is reminiscent of the first Peacekeeper theme.
Basically, you've taken Crimson's place: his home has become yours, and he reacts as well as you expect.
The mission where Project Wingman becomes Spec Ops: The Line with fighter jets.

Holy shit, I just finished the game and that's what I thought, in this game you don't win, you just survive just like in spec ops
Frankly, the big thing about The Line is that you do it yourself, Walker CHOSE to do it and YOU pulled the trigger (the game actually forces you to do it, which actually bothers me to this day since I wanted to stop, but most people would do it regardless). "Do you feel like a hero yet?" doesn't quite fit Project Wingman, because Monarch is at most pushing Crimson into a corner.
“But it ends in the complete and utter devastation of us or them.” ... “the flag that flies over it at the end will decide all of our fates.”
So what happens if no flag flies afterwards?

In AC5 there is a pilot of the Grabacr squadron which says that they returned to haunt Razgriz in their dreams, and proceeded to scream afterwards. In ACZ there is a Belkan soldier in Hoffnung who says that everything is catching fire and is about to explode, and then he gets caught in an explosion and scream.
Crimson 1 is the guy who's yelling that he's a peacekeeper, while he shoots civilians and cannibalizes a baby

He considered Sicario to be unskilled trash lowlives, so when he got bested by them he had a mental breakdown and went insane like Torres.

The moment the ceasefire is declared, it seems like it's going to go down the AC4 route, with the final mission being to destroy the WMD that the enemy obviously still has. Then the laughter starts, and you know you got the bad end.

It brings a lot of missions to mind but to me it reminds me most of the Liberation of Gracemeria from AC6, mixed with a bit of the end of AC0

Forgeting about "Pixy-like" ending, it's epic liberation mission, maybe I could say the best comparing with AC, (including both in Farbanti).

The banzi call is an actual term in the pilot lexicon, its a call to press in aggressively to WVR (within visual range) after the intial BVR fight its actually a really nice touch for those nerds out there.

I have a theory that monarch was part of a royal family in a nation and joined the airforce and proved to be an exceptional pilot but the federation came in and just wiped the existance of this country which made monarch just go to cascadia to meet comic and dip and he joined seciro along with them to avenege his country.

4:40 Kaiser's quote is a little Easter egg. Specifically, it's a reference to Commissar's speech from the opening of Alexander Sokolov's part of the Stalingrad campaign in "Call of Duty: Finest Hour."
This game is not afraid of making the final battle goes wrong. Not a AC so far made the ending like this, because in the end, you always finish the war. But this time....They really made the 7 Great Nukes of Belkan, pale in comparison

Are friendly units in this game able to be shot down by enemies non-scripted? Like if the player stays idle and does nothing throughout the mission, do non-important friendlies get shot down eventually?
I don't know if you've found this out elsewhere, but yes. A few allies, the named ones mostly, are flagged as invincible, but the rest behave exactly like your enemies do in terms of health, damage, AI, etc.
