Maison is a cry for help to save the Earth from the apocalypse caused by global warming, environmental pollution and human indifference. It may be too late now to save Dreamcatcher’s world, but their message is to save ours while we still can. Maison is French for home and it’s referencing our one and only habitable planet, Earth. In the lyrics, Dreamcatcher calls out those who pollute or ignore the problem, asking them to start changing bad habits. Dami raps about how people won’t care about the environment until the air is too hot to breathe or the land is too dry to grow. The seven members live comfortably in a heavenly place in the sky, resembling goddesses. When they travel to Earth, they notice it’s a complete wasteland due to the environmental crisis. Dreamcatcher has different abilities and they decided to use them to save the Earth from Apocalypse. The masked humans living in skyscrapers or running factories are the guilty of most of this destruction and the members do everything to stop their leader, the Goat Mask. Unfortunately, the damage was too great and even their home in the skies was destroyed.

Most of the girls are born in 2002 to 2005. So yeah they are recent and more so Japanese. Thought that might help… :))
You’ll definitely need to listen to Maison some more times to fully appreciate it. This song is a grower. I was unsure of Maison when I heard it the first time, but love it now.
Everyone has different taste; I liked ''Maison'' more than ''BEcause'', I definitely remember it better after the 1st listen. Plus the message of ''Maison'' speaks to me on a personal lvl.
First time I was like "eh.. " then after a few more listen it grew on me. As an Insomnia there's a few occasion where their title track doesn't click with me even after so many listen. This one didn't click at the first listen but now it's stuck with me
Onew’s whole DICE album is phenomenal, you’ll immediately go “ooooohhh I didn’t expect that” when you first listen to all the songs but they’re also all easy listen songs (in a good way), very chill vibe you can listen to anytime of the day. Also yes he is a really good actor, not only with his expressions but also in his voice. When he sings “tasty” it does sounds very sweet, when he sings “falling” you do feel like you’re falling. (Hey any directors out there maybe it’s time for a voice acting gig for Onew he’ll kill it)

This album also has a solo song by each of them to which they participated in composing, arranging, lyrics, concept. Maison does talk about protecting our Maison (Home). Dami comes up .. You freak out (100% relatable) Yoohyeon comes up.. 'I love her voice' (100% relatable)

Onew’s entire Dice album is really good. Definitely worth checking out imo. It’s a no-skip album for me. Check out his live performances as well if you get a chance. He is one of the few idols that actually sings live during his music show performances. One of the best in K-Pop! Glad you enjoyed it!

I can’t express how happy I was when I saw DKZ in the title! They’re getting a lot more attention now after one of the members was in a drama and I’m so glad! I really recommend listening to more of they’re music such as maybe Lupin or Universe. I’d say Lupin is they’re most popular and one of the the only not cutesy concepts and then Universe is probably my favorite. Thank you again for all the videos you put out!! Love you Caitlin!💜❤️😊
DKZ has been gaining popularity after one of the member's successful BL series and it has a huge impact on the group. Their previous sales was like 2-3k only but this recent comeback has around 100k sales. And their views are on millions now. I'm so happy for them.
It's funny you mention Dreamcatcher's MAISON sounds like it could be a fight scene in a movie because the intro to their choreography has the girls fighting with the backup dancers!

I've noticed that you've been basically loving most (if not all) of the songs you've heard from SHINee so far be it group or solo (Taemin, Key, Minho and now Onew) I think it's about time you dive deeper into them ;) They are legends and icons, super talented 5 all rounders and soloists, is how you get very distinct and unique style from every one of them and when you put them together magical things happen. All members except Minho (as of yet) got solo albums and their group discography is huge with every era bringing something new, a concept, a music genre, a fashion style, you name it. They never follow trends they set them. And don't even get me started on them live, literally live performance Kings with exceptional vocals and intense choreos, their stage presence and charisma is on another level. Hope you do more of their marathons, performances and listen to some albums. Also, please check out Jonghyun solo too, he self wrote and composed almost all of his songs, it's so good and unique in the Kpop scene I'm sure you'd love it.

The guy going off in the last chorus of Cupid is Lee Kyoungyoon, the main vocalist of DKZ. He's legit one of the best male vocalists of the 4th gen in my opinion. And one thing about DKZ is that they almost always sing live. Their vocal stability is insane. You can hear their breathing and the mic scratching on their clothes and vocal differences in almost every performance. They were on Studio Moon Night, Moonbyul's radio show, recently and they told her they were inspired by Mamamoo to always sing live. It's very admirable.

i actually think youll like dkz (before known as dongkiz)! i reccomend Lupin, Crazy Night, Fever etc. all their title tracks are rather cuter (except lupin) and energetic :)

DKZ (formerly Dongkiz) are way too good for how underrated they've been, their songs are so fun! ♥ Their pre-debut release was Nom, then they debuted with Blockbuster: my personal favorites are Fever, All I Need is You, Lupin, and Crazy Night!

You probably have a lot on your plate but dreamcatcher's album is definitely worth checking out♡ it was literally sooo good and probably different than what you would expect
The guy going off in the last chorus of Cupid is Lee Kyoungyoon, the main vocalist of DKZ. He's legit one of the best male vocalists of the 4th gen in my opinion. And one thing about DKZ is that they almost always sing live. Their vocal stability is insane. You can hear their breathing and the mic scratching on their clothes and vocal differences in almost every performance. They were on Studio Moon Night, Moonbyul's radio show, recently and they told her they were inspired by Mamamoo to always sing live. It's very admirable.

This is the first time they came back with the rebranded name "DKZ", they rebranded because of member changes, they added 3 new members and the former leader left the group because of serious injury. I just recently listened to the Dreamcatcher comeback and I'm definitely enjoying. When you said Maison sounded like a movie soundtrack, i laughed because it almost sounds like a Power Rangers or Anime OST. Not a complaint!!
