Yea about the vocal effect, in the one ot7 live Siyeon just added her powerful vibrato or whatever sorcery it is she does with her voice that sometimes makes her sound like a guitar's whammy bar being jiggled. Zerobaseone's Zhang Hao also did that choppy vibrato as a joke by slamming at his chest during the tiktok challenge with Handong. Speaking of Handong, her and Sua took Siyeon's highnotes for the promotions. Both of them are supposedly "sub" vocalists.
You should react to the 1theK live performance video to hear their raw vocal (the only one that Siyeon participated due to health reason) while dancing. You should also compare the other live version when Handong & SuA was covering Siyeon's part and that's when you know DC really has 7 main vocalists.

The effect is a tremolo pedal often used for guitars. It's a variation of volume where vibrato is a variation of pitch.
