My principal saw me with a Slayer shirt and he said that he loves Slayer.
That's a cool principle👍
Did you tell him you passed (insert class) and his reply..TOMENTOOOOORRRRR
🤘🤘
My first homeroom teacher when I got to high school had a slayer sticker on her car. She always seemed hung over. Pretty nice chick though
My middle school principal liked my korn shirt lol
As a metalhead back in high school, people were shocked to hear that I was also into Jazz, classical, blues, and R&B.
Ooh I was a huge music theory nerd back in highschool people were also surprised of me listening to classical and jazz
Love jazz!! And 50’s music 😊. 80’s pop... and super brutal underground metal😊.
I’m not really a metal head I just like 2 rock bands but I still listen to alternative, pop, rap, and R&B
i once had a friend show me this rapper he was into (Yung Nugget i think) and when i said i didn’t like it he went “or right. you ONLY listen to metal”
i was about to kill that kid
When the guy in a slipknot shirt calls you a poser that’s gotta hurt
🤣
😂... nope.
It does
Why cause its not the same 4 shitty thrash bands? Lmao
Underrated comment.
i was always the “weirdo metalhead kid” in all the schools i was in til i moved to the school im currently in. first thing i noticed, an Exodus fan in my classroom. i go talk to the guy, instantly befriend him. he gets me into a groupchat with some ex-students from that school, all metalheads. man i felt in heaven
Sounds like a good friend my dude🤙
I love exodus
what if i change highschool
I was legit the ONLY metalhead in my school so a lot of this struck a chord with me 😂. There was one teacher that when teaching us about puritans writings of hell he’d make slayer references and always give me a look whenever he did it.
I had a teacher like that back then too! Lol
I seem to be the only metalhead in my school. I got a teacher to play Left Behind by Slipknot once and everyone just went "whats this?" and "rock on 🤙".
We need a school of metalheads, even the teachers
The English teacher in my school loves the trooper by iron Maiden. It's her favorite song
School of .. rock !! 😀😀
ARISEEEEE
Just graduated high school. About to be the only metalhead in college now.🤘 best part no dress codes🤘
Lol I feel you, I found my metal drummer in college
@@DanteD3ad 🤘awesome idk if its different in college than high school for metalheads?
Times have changed, now those kids in the 80s/90s are teachers. Just the other day my teacher was playing AC/DC and he has Enter Sandman as his ringtone.
On my bus this kid would play rap all the time, which is fine except when I could hear it through my headphones.
Oof I remember going through that 💀
Me and my friend were headbanging to Sepultura on the bus
I remember teacher used to kind of stare at me often. I would notice he was staring at me, but I wouldn’t say anything. It went on like that for like a month almost every day. Come to find out he was checking out my T-shirts.... exhumed, devourment, dying fetus, Terrorizer, etc..... One day he just asked me how long I had been listening to death metal. As it turns out, he was a huge death metal fan, and had the obituary logo tattooed on his leg. I named off all kinds of bands that were newer at the time, and he could name albums and specific song tracks by them. The dude was a legit death metal fan.
This has been over 20 years ago…
I’m a metalhead high schooler and simply being one is literally the golden ticket to become a target for everyone since I’m literally the only one. If I hadn’t joined the school I’m in, it would’ve been a pure rap fan school. All the students are literally wannabe gangsters who act like them and blast rap music with speakers while walking through the streets
A lot of the people are literally destined to tell me how much metal sucks and how much better their rap music is. They would even give up on things like drop heavy equipment or walk away from a game just to tell me the exact same phrase
And of course the teachers who would also weird me out over being a metalhead. I remember this one time during a last lesson before summer break, we were all allowed to choose a song to be played. The teacher was especially unfair. He let everyone keep his phone to let everyone choose tons of rap songs to play and as for me, he would take his phone back once I chose a song after knowing I’ll play metal just to turn off my song after like 5-10 seconds and let someone else blast rap for the rest of the lesson while giving me like barely any chance
Oof I feel you man I was in a school full of rap kids myself, but I'll tell you this after high school is over you'll meet other metalheads put there, just be true to yourself👍😁
Pedro 1op3z
Sounds great! Can’t wait to finally not be alone 😎
There's nothing wrong with listening to Hip Hop and R&B from the 80s 90s and early 2000s
Justice is gone
Justice is raped
Dude I think you might go to my school. Seriously though I don’t want to secondhand listen to nba youngboy at 6:45 in the hallway on my way to class. One time my teacher let us write songs on a list for her to play in class and I wrote all signs point to lauderdale
(A day to remember isn’t even THAT heavy especially this particular song) she actually did play the song and everyone in the class told her to turn it off and told me how much shitty emo music sucks. While I respectfully listened to their music about drugs and sex they were so quick to treat me like shit because I chose a song about nobody understanding you and people treating you like shit.
Yes as a metal head , who's in high school . I've been through all of these
Glad you can relate😂😁
@@DanteD3ad Certainly can
Back in the day someone would literally play a song about a person popping a cap in someone’s ass but as soon as I play Metallica Master of puppets they all look at me and say do you do drugs
Idk about the long hair thing, Ive always got compliments on how beautiful my hair is in school, especially by the older female teachers. The male teachers always just tell me nice hair. Then again, I do have golden blonde hair so...
I'm currently a Freshman, nearly a Sophomore
Well hope the rest of your years go good for you👍
She didn't leave you for that, she left you because you're sleeping with the secretary 🤣🤣
Call back to another video of mine😂😂
Damn, this gives me nostalgia for high school, graduated in 2015, been working at construction for the past 5 years and had to cut my long hair last year (although I've been growing it back, almost a year next month) but am still a metalhead and I remember how half of school thought I was a weirdo for listening to "devil music" and the other half thought I was the coolest badass ever, granted the freshmen loved me cause I used to sell them purple kush. 24 years old now and seeing the comments of younger people whether they're in middle or high school makes me glad that younger people are getting into metal. Trust me youngsters I was just like you a decade ago thinking I was the only one in my generation (millennial) who was into metal and love the music but seeing all these gen z's getting into it gives me faith
As a metalhead who’s also in high school. I can relate to this. I have no friends that are metalheads and a lot of my classmates like pop, rap, trap and country. It sucks bro
same man, i'm a junior and just waiting til' the day I can get out on my own and make metalhead friends lmao
Myself ex girlfriend listens to country music so same
I need more Ordep in my life, he seems like a chill dude. 🤘
We all need an ordep 😂🤘
I have an overkill "f*ck you" patch on my backpack and my teacher recently questioned it, luckily she was only joking annoyed and was super chill about it
Graduated HS in 2007 and I remember it being pretty bad back then but damn I bet it's so so much worse now. Being true to yourself doesn't pay off until you're well into adulthood. Then the people that used to give you shit act like it never happened and even look up to you, but you won't even need them - the genuine connections you make over the years last a lifetime. Don't sell out.
Damn and I was 7 in 2007💀 but you're not wrong about the people hating on you back then and then looking up to you now🤙
Yes take of each other look out for one another..🤘
I was in HS around the same time and this type of music was way more popular back then. It use to be more prevalent in the media to where you could see a lot of your fave bands perform live on MTV, but now not so much which I really miss. It might of depended on where you lived but usually in the schools around the bigger cities it'd be teaming with kids who listened to hard rock/metal. There was a lot more diversity in art/music on campus unlike nowadays, which is bizarre to me and a little sad. I blame social media for killing variety and freedom of expression. It seems like now everyone is afraid to be different or unique and they just want to imitate whatever is trending on their feed, but I'm old asf now so none of this really matters lol.
I just tell some of the kiddos that there's other ways to connect with your peers other than having to like the exact same music. I know school is "cliquey" but you can befriend people in different ways and maybe introduce them to what you like and show them why you're actually cooler than they think.
It’s harder in my school because everyone are wannabe hoodrats listening to garbage and probably will end up in jail or dead in 10 years
Middle school feels worse than this I litteraly can’t wear a sleeveless band shirt without getting judged
Yeah middle school sucks and kids are cruel, but just do what you love. They will hate but it doesn't matter what they think
Thanks dude! 😁🤟🏼
When u get called a poser by the dude in the slipknot shirt🤣
Oh mann, I'm currently a junior. I have zero metalhead friends (nor can I find likeminded people at my school, it's tiny as hell) but I did meet a guy in online school through k12 wearing a bathory shirt and I asked the teacher about sharing social media shit, they said we can't and I got so disappointed. Usually at school I talk to my teachers, I had a metalhead teacher last year and he was awesome.
I've gotten so many rude looks for my everyday attire... Especially because I'm a girl. You don't see girls wearing shit like I do at all... Band tees, usual battle vest, combat boots. I feel pretty alone. I made the huge mistake of cutting my long hair super short. Yikes.
Covid's still going on but, I'll be going back my senior year in hopes of meeting more kids like me.
Some awesome experiences I had..
I did play metal sometimes during lunch, well, blared it because other people would blare rap. Motorhead was echoing through the halls... It was amazing.
In spanish class last year I got the amazing chance to play my music on my teacher's laptop on some speakers. I played SOD and Slayer, some Cannibal corpse. Everyone looked absolutely mortified. My teacher was loving it. I may have gotten her into metal. I did a project in spanish class on Cliff Burton where we had to make an alter for day of the dead and make it about a deceased celebrity, loved one, etc. Mine won 1st place. That shit was fun. It had (drawn on) flames, photos of cliff, a picture of his bass in the Anesthesia video, some shotglasses, quotes from interviews. it was fire, and hell to get that huge piece of cardboard into the school without dropping it. I dropped it off when 1st period was in session and I had that class 7th, everyone was like, "woahhhhh"...
But anyways... I do have hope when I hit college and get out in the world, I will find my tribe of metal friends.
I'm entering grade 12 this year and there arent enough metalheads and punks in my school, especially girls! One of my teachers greets me saying "SLAYYERRR" tho so that's cool
That's a cool teacher right there🤘🤙
I’m currently a sophomore & there are a few metalheads in my strings class. & the teachers don’t mind the music I listen to
I am a middle school Metalhead and my classmates keep telling me "stop living in the 80's" and other shit like that
My crush rejected me cause of my taste in music and because I hate her shitty music
I hate her now and my life is better off without a pop head girlfriend or crush
Your going to find a smoking hotty piece of arm candy that will go to metal shows with you and makes you pasta, and asks you once in a while to listen to i dont know cardi b, and she is going to be you super awsome girl who dresses the part to make you 2 work
Hear you
I’m a metal head and I’m currently in middle school, when I first came there I dressed all black with a slipknot shirt and people told me are you emo and I told them I’m a metal head, when it was lunch I decided to play basketball with the other dudes and I’m tall, people thought I was week because I was that one kid that don’t talk much but I work out, I knocked people down in basketball and I’m cool, we were having in one of my classes and I have a turn to play a song and I put on raining blood and other people said it sucked and I told them I don’t want to here mumble rappers and I told someone if it’s rap it has to be the old school rap so you can here it, the next I have a talent show at my school I’m going to do a drum cover and that’s it
Ha that's awesome man! You should record that drum cover on the talent show, would love to see that man👍
Pedro 1op3z that’s what I’m thinking of doing
Nah nah just go up with a guitar and start shredding the shit out of it until one of the strings break
it's spelled WEAK.
That's relatable for a high schooler
As a metalhead in high school i suffer from some sort of social exclusion, like people talking “she’s weird, dont talk to her”,recieving weird looks whenever i talk something music related and avoiding to interact with me at all cost. at least my biology teacher and my family understand me
I've pretty much had rough times in high school. At 18 I remember where my principal was worried about the metal music because I'd used to rebel against my world history teacher like doing wrong speaking to her and writing "No Responsibility" on her white board because I thought that she was against my musical taste. After that I had a one week suspension from the school as I had to go through psychological rehab. I regret those days and as of now I'm 22 and I still headbang to metal! 🤘🤘
I’m proud to be apart of the metal head community
I was merely a teenager during the early 2000s and I was just getting into metal. And from that time up to my senior year, hard rock and heavy metal music got me through high School at that time 🤘😎
I am in high school, dress metal, act metal, growing my hair long and all your points are correct completely, like it’s crazy how much I relate to this. One of my favorite bands is KISS and I dressed up as Gene Simmons once and I can’t tell you how much I was made fun of for it. I didn’t care but and the emo thing happens to me all the time. But a big issue is the lack of metal heads, I see tons of people wearing metal band shirts even more lesser known bands but everytime I try to be friends with that person they always say they just like the shirt not the band. Hopefully I’ll find some fellow metal heads to
You will eventually man👍🤙
If you like kiss you might like ac dc
@@scottsanders8634 AC/DC RULES!
9th grade:When i entered highschool i was only 5'3 , couldn' fight for myslelf ,and when i showed up that i am an metalhead almost everyone made jokes at me and sometimes i even had to fight . Fast foward there were a lot of incidents we're fellow metalheads in my highschool helped me out. For exemple , there was this girl and she hated me the most . When she was little she managed to acidentally burn one part of her face. She survied, she gain an really really bad strechmark for the rest of her life, but also she gained a lot of maddnes . She trowed christian icons at me and hit me with everythyng she had in hands. She will yell at me and curse me , and no one will do nothing because everyone was scared of her . In one incident she kicked me out of the class , i was scared because of her boyfriend because he was way stronger than me,so i left the class. Few minutes later i will send messages to metalheads in my school and they will come to help me out. I regain the "right" to enter my class and also a lot of hate from that girl..eventually she was kicked out of the school because of fighting and stealing.
Months later everyone will call me a satanist or atheist ( indeed , i don't belive in any deity ) . And some of them were even scared by me, thinking that i will curse them.
10th: i grew a lot in summer brake, 5'8 and i learned a lot about fighting .
In one instance i will wear boots and an Bucovina t-shirt on , one guy will come at me and sayd " i hear about these , this is an satanic band!" ( if you don't know bucovina is an romanian folk and black metal band, nothing satanic in it ) . I was fourios and in that moment i hit him with my bots and i will found myself beating him out, first time when i did this
Ye and this is my story
may I just say, love the vest, all great bands.
Thanks man🤘👍
My new school has a teacher who’s a metalhead
We both are obsessed with soad
Sounds like a cool af teacher😭🤙
When I first wore my battlevest two other metalheads who where massive gatekeepers. Approached me and both asked name five songs from EVERY BAND I PUT ON MY VEST both asking different questions at the same time. Luckily they only did that once.
I’m gonna bring metal to the school system as a guidance counselor. Currently bringing metal to community college as an Academic Support Associate or ASA for short🤘
Nicee not a bad plan🤘👍
“We weren’t expecting special forces”
Back when I was in high school, I had a history teacher who loves death metal. He was one of the coolest teachers I had back them. I myself am into it now.
Im going into my senior year and i fell in love with metal almost a year ago and consequently all my friends fell in love. Though my school sucks with all the wannabe rappers i just know im cooler than they are.
Once I was in my art class and was told to draw different days in life, abstractly. I drew red scribbles to represent when I’m listening metal music. My art teacher asked me if they are things like anger or negativity, I hesitated for a little while then told him that it is death metal. I never dress like a metalhead in high school, in fact I am the kind of really quite and polite Asian student with straight As… so yeah I guess he was pretty shocked. Then he asked me what bands do I like and how did I get into metal. He even asked the whole class if anyone listen to death metal lol, but unfortunately nobody answered. I told him the band that got me into metal was Gojira, he gave me a piece of paper to write the band name down.
That conversation made my day.
I’ve never met any other metalhead in high school, feel like we are in extinction, at least in my school.
As a metal head about to start highschool i had alot of experiences with other people like one time my health teacher would always complacent on my battle vest and band tee shirts i had 3 teachers tell me on how they got into metal cause of my vest even the princpal i also had a friend who was a metalhead so yeah i love being a metal head
Most people at my school can't even tell that I'm a metalhead, even though I listen to lots of metal, wear metal band shirts, and have long hair. And I've had a long history of being called a poser on the internet for listening to other genres too. Also, I just wanted to say your battle jacket is very cool.
Just graduated high school and thankfully I don't have any bad experiences related to being a metal head, except maybe a few dirty looks. A good chunk of my friends were metal heads too. I even got a few compliments from teachers saying they like the band on my shirt and how I remind them of their younger days lol
I'm a metalhead. I've been a metalhead for over a decade. I have a metal vest with mostly death metal bands, dsbm, and some Thrash. I am not in high school anymore. I'm 25. I got into metal when I was 14 in 2009. But the metal journey really took off in 2010 when I was in high school... I was the only metalhead there. I'm a black metalhead guy to. I was labeled as emo to some and goth to others, and yes.. I do have emo tendencies and goth tendencies. I love emo, and goth rock music as well, but metal is better imo. I am the only metalhead in my town and I've only seen punk rockers who hate me because I'm a metalhead. So I can't relate to them.. besides that I live in Boston which doesn't have much of a metal scene where I'm from. All I hear around me is pop, rap, salsa music, and talk radio... so I feel alone in despair when I go out because I have no one to relate to unless I go online. Well that's my story, I found metal on my own. No one recommended it. I grew up shy, scared of everything, sad, and helpless. When I found metal in 2009 it changed my life and everything around me in the most metal way and beautiful way possible. 🤘🏽 Thank you for reading my comment. Sorry if I'm late on this video replying.
Aw damn im so sorry to hear that and damn I relate to this as well, but hey you found the right place! I do a lot of live streams and you should join them! You'll meet other metalheads in them 👍
@@DanteD3ad 🤘🏽🙂🤘🏽
@@DanteD3ad I'm glad I found your channel. I just typed in I'm the only metalhead at then I saw your video, and clicked on it.😅 i have that same Suicide silence patch as well in green writing, and most of the patches you have.
Not bad!😁 glad you found this channel!
The music teacher always sings some bad pop
Metal head before high school through high school and still a metal head..
The fire alarm chirping in the backround
My mom: *gets called to school therapist*
Therapist: I'm so sorry, I think your daughter might be suicidal
Mom: why's that?
Therapist: she's drawing demons, black things, upside down crosses, suggestive texts and so on
Mom: and again, why you think she's suicidal?
Therapist: ma'am..
Mom: what can I do with that she draws logos, fanarts of her favorite bands and quotes their lyrics?
Therapist: I think she shouldn't listen to things like that... It may lead to high suicidal thoughts.
Mom: so what? I should kick her out of the house when I listen to music like that???
It's a true story
Good video man 😂😂🤘🏼 this is super relatable
I'm glad you loved it man 😂😁
First time experiencing this channel and by god I love it so damn much
Glad you love it!!🤙🤙☺

Love the introduction to Ordep. Keep it up!
Im glad you love Ordep as well😂😂 thank you!
The first day of school I got asked do I want to go to hell because I was wearing a slipknot shirt
Ah...bring me back to metal head in HS...in the 80s
1:21 How’d it take me this long to realise that Ordep is Pedro backwards
i was recording vocals in school for my first single and my friend said "are you dying"
I feel dumb, I just noticed Ordep is Pedro backwards.
people used to call me “goth” when I’m actually emo they even called me a satanist when i literally go to church everyday and I’m catholic
i was lucky to have a metalhead teacher last year. my main homework was to listen to bands.
My middle school had this security guard who always complimented my shirts and told me about shows he went to. He was awesome
I was today years old when I realized Ordep is just Pedro backwards
Is it not obvious? Lol
I have only two friends where I went to school at that are true metalheads and let me tell you bro, the school that I went to, some students were alright with metal it didn't really bother them but there's those idiots that would yell at me and tell me to shut off my music when I walk by then minding my own business listening to Carnifex and shit like that. Not just my school have a rarity of metalheads but the whole town that I'm living in doesn't have that many metalheads at all smh. Just wish if I move the fuck out of Laughlin, Nevada anytime soon, I hope to find more metalheads and finally start a death metal band as that's part of my goal for a good while.
My teacher blasted the who In class on the last day of school before Xmas and I was the only one who knew who they were 😂
All the school dances play pop and rap and it drives me insane. I asked them to play 80s music and they wouldn't but they play cardi b. Most nine inch nails songs are blocked on the computer but Nikki minaj isn't 😂wtf
In 7th grade, I would always draw upside down crosses on each class tables. And the next day there would be crosses or a drawing of Jesus H. Christ himself, or comments like "you need jesus" and this video pretty much explains all of it. The teachers also seem to not give a shit. My English teacher had a rockstar status, and whenever I walk in with a Slayer shirt or a Metallica shirt or any shirt, megadeth, anthrax, pantera, maiden. He would just give me extra credit. I'm in high school now and ngl, I think my parents should shut up about cutting my hair
i am a technicallly a metalhead in highschool, but my entire freshmen year has been on a computerb and none of us know or talk to eachother because we dont have to
So in middle school I went through hell for this
I wore an Iron Maiden jacket (and believe me it was very cold), that jacket was very warm, and the teacher told me I can't wear it all that when the jackets they have for the uniform are as thin as a plank
The haircut thing a teacher kept bugging me about cutting it, also family members I had an uncle who was always with his lame dad jokes telling me I should get a haircut, and that I would make the barber rich. It's annoying when teachers tell you about the hair though they should just focus on teaching.
And at work I cut my hair (personal choice, since it was growing a bit uneven, and a bit uncomfortable) and what annoys me is people saying "hey you look better like that" or asking the obvious "oh did you get a haircut" a girl told me "hey youve gotten hot" but I ignored it and a girl who I just flat out ignored since I knew she would comment on my haircut .
Ugh well I never went to a school with uniforms but that sounds like it sucks, and the hair thing I went through the same exact route, hate when people tell me I look better with short hair and shit like that💀
@@DanteD3ad this is why I hated haircuts in the first place people commenting on it, also people that annoy the hell out of you for wearing a different color, I'll still wear black mostly.
Yeah when school years in that uniformed school ended we had the right to give away the uniform for the next year students I threw it on the table and the teacher ended up folding it haha, I'm just glad I don't have to wear uniform to work or cut my hair because the boss said so, besides I'll listen to the opinion of a hot metalhead girl if that hot metalhead girl tells me I look better with shorter hair I might cut it from time to time
I trim my own hair, I stopped trusting anyone with it and I mean you do you man👍
@@DanteD3ad yeah I trim my own too I just cut off some edges and done. Another funny thing that girl I ignored, the next day she heard me listening to metal, asked if I got a headache from listening to it, I told her if my head was hurting I wouldn't be listening to anything she just said ok and stayed quiet
That's so close minded of her, I like how people thing metal is loud when pop music, edm, and trap have boosted bass
I'm currently in ninth grade. Just the other day I got called emo for wearing a municipal waste shirt.
If I don’t see a Pedro vs Ordep guitar battle soon, I’m going to unsubscribe!!!!
Jk...
That should happen tbh 😂😂
Pedro keep working towards your goal, I was a musician, and didn't evolve, one person in my peer group made it...his band is ginormous, I served in the navy for 20 years...now I'm pushing the new generation to get on the marquee...\m/ stay metal
I told my teacher that I liked metal and she asked me why I liked listening to electropositive element noises
High school… every persons worst nightmare
Everyone & even the teachers thought I was crazy because I had 4 gg allin t shirts & have like 20 posters of him in my room so I can definitely relate to most of these 100%
Oof I feel you on that, sometimes these people need to open their minds and look into the gray areas of life💀
Pedro 1op3z Omfg yeah & one time I got kicked out of this one art school because I listened & had a Cannibal Corpse
Oof you had a cannibal corpse shirt on? Which one was it?😂😁
Pedro 1op3z It’s called “skeletons” it was from hot topic but it didn’t even show anything gory it just shows skeletons and that’s it
Oh damn and they got pissed from that?
Posers that think their cool because they listen to one slipknot song
and post it on their ig story and think that they are superior by knowing an "underground artist"
YES!
I can can go into great detail in like fourteen different instances when one of my closest friends had said something about me sacrificing small mammals, being goth, or emo, or that I look like I could beat someone to death because of how I was dressed on any given day.
Or when my acquaintance's mom tells my mom that she's worried for my mental health because I was wearing a lot of black.
🧐🧐🧐
Oof I know how that felt back then💀😅 it gets better in the future. Don't worry
These have all literally happened to me
Glad you can relate
The emo part got me
My favorite part about metal "satanists" or "satanists" in general is that they do the exact oposite of what Satanism is about lol
Seems like I’m the only girl metal head in my school, and all the guys who I just want to talk with so badly always say that I’m a poser. Funny because they said they were looking for a guitarist for their band, well I am one and I told them that I played and they also called me a poser 😒 had to do the talent show alone but I won first place for playing tornado of souls 😎 now I just gotta find some metal head friends that know girls can listen to metal and start a band with them 😈
You sure showed them👍 that's awesome af
that’s cool
I as a metalhead was being "targeted" by teachers because of the way I was dressing and what music I listened to, I even got expelled TWICE for wearing a Motley Crue shirt.
For A motley crue shirt?? Why??😭🤣
@@DanteD3ad It had a pentagram on it and apparently it wasn't "proper" although they had girls running around with their asses showing through their pants and under their skirts
I am a metalhead in high school, and I listen to tons of metal bands
I wore a slipknot hoodie and my drama teacher said that they were awesome :)
That's a cool af teacher😎
Heh my senior year English teacher had a Lynyrd Skynyrd poster in her room.
Back in the 90’s(my days). Teachers and fellow students hated my Slayer, Sepultura, Pantera, and Manson shirts. My long hair. And satanic stuff drawn on my books.
im a metalhead currently in high school and when ppl tell me to change I argue with them by using lyrics from sepultura's inner self
My uncle wore the deicide shirt of Jesus being dissected to his school once, some random teacher made him turn it inside out
For me it’s just sad that I can’t talk to anyone about metal irl
i had a slayer shirt on and a random teacher from my school walked by and said "nice shirt"
I wish they would let me wear my chain on my pants like what do they think I’m gunna do choke someone out with it
I’m currently a senior in high school and I’m about to finish high school in 2023. I can say that I’ve had to deal with this kinda anguish for almost 6 years cuz I was always the “weird metalhead” kid with buzzed hair back in middle school as well. In High school, I have long hair , and I get along with everyone I meet fine, and I do have friends who are into Metal. But there’s always those random normies who likes to poke fun at me and make fun of my looks, taste in music, and my hair cuz they like to call me homophobic slurs and transphobic slurs simply because I have long hair, I’m not gay or trans either. These same people are the same close minded people who listen to radio bullshit like trap music, Maroon 5 or anything else “trendy” on the radio and just simply do not want to get to know people like me because they hate my music and perceive me as a satanist. Once I graduate I’m not looking back :)
I listen to FUCKING KISS and my brother and parents think its satanic, and also i have to cut my hair often and i cant buy Kiss shirt if it has any KISS members on it, it can only have KISS letters on it
for me in highschool where i am right now im alwayssss being called emo 😭
I'm really happy I did not have that experience because I went to high school in 1980's
Nicee. How was it like back then?
Really good
I'll be in 10th grade and I'll have no friends to jam out with to my metal music it's so sadd
All my teachers like metal for some reason like slipknot limp biz cut and korn
Im casually wearing Rotting Christ the mighty contract shirt in school and no one fucking cares.
I'm not in the fit financial situation to be able to afford an army of band shirts or anything like that, as I spent most of my cash on vinyl, cassettes, and CDs, but I do plan to start showing my metalhead heart to everyone after summer. I mention this because I must preface this by mentioning that I do not come across as a metalhead yet.
My first-period teacher does this thing where we have to listen to 2 songs and then vote on which one is better; tournament style. This is already catastrophic because all of the songs are pop. Like....painfully pop. I'm talking Despacito bullshit level pop. We have different phases of music, like when it's Christmas we listen to two Christmas songs and such like that. This one time we were doing all german songs.
Oh yeah. You know what artist I'm gonna say. One day, we had to vote for either of two RAMMSTEIN songs and I was thrilled initially. But my teacher is very impatient with music and has described on multiple occasions her hatred for slow songs, therefore we are only able to listen to the first 40-50 seconds of a song. Only in the first song, we were able to hear the heart of the song, while the other took its time building up and my teacher paused it right before it actually got into the song. I wanted to say something, but I'm not trying to be interruptive.
That's mostly aside from the point. Point being: after we listened to the two songs, I heard one of the Pop rap fans in our class say "Emo music". Once again, I wanted to say something, but I didn't want any trouble.
This was actually the very first time I ever heard someone refer to metal as "emo music". It was crushing, honestly. I had, for the first time, realized that people could possibly consider me to be an emo or goth or anything other than A GOD DAMN METALHEAD.
Also one more thing. I'm planning to start a metalhead legion (club) and I will fight and fight until I get it established.
High School senior here, just got made to cut my hair by parents. A lot of long, complicated, “talks” about my hair is shit and not the hill to die on, included claims that I’m going through an identity crisis. Pissed as all hell but college is coming up, who gives a shit
Sorry that happened man I did go through the same thing as well but I promise it will get better. Stay strong 🤘🤙
@@DanteD3ad Yeah, thanks man! It’s always nice to hear some encouragement. Keep up the content! 🤘👍
I actually am a senior and I don't usually get judged. I actually scare my choir teacher with some of the shirts but it's all good and fun
I'm the only metalhead in the entire fucking school. Sucks. We have a couple of posers wearing metal shirts and flexing em. They don't actually listen to metal, sadly.
Mr.Teacher Man. 😂
