First time hearing this song since my husband of 31 years passed away on our anniversary this past Wednesday. I’m sure this song is going to bring me a lot of comfort and accompany many crying sessions over the next few months.
This song fill my heart with love and appease it. I lost my mom 8 years ago, I was 26 and had just gave birth to my first and only child 3 weeks before. It was (and still is) the hardest event of my life. Since I heard this song, I feel better. It's like Ed put words on the emptiness I feel since her passing. I want to learn the guitar to be able to go and play/sing it on her grave. 🥀
When my mom passed in 2018 supermarket flowers always hit me really hard and now years later he came back and hit me again with more punch. This man has such a talent for reminding us of the hardships in life but planting that hope that it’s always gonna be alright.
This song came out 8 months after my dad passed and really spoke to me. Even more so because he was the biggest Ed sheeran fan and I can imagine us singing it together. Thanks for the beautiful lyrics Ed. 😭💕

We ALL need to appreciate the smallest things in life, and cherish our loved ones! As we never know for how long we will have them. Miss so many and wish I could visit them in heaven, also. Will see them ALL again one day. Thank you, Ed Sheeran! ❣️🛐

My wife got pregnant with my first born about 2 months after he passed and it was an honor to name him after him. He was the only person who never judged me for decisions in my life but when I first heard "I'd tell you that I'm scared of turning out a failure" it really got to me That's exactly the person I would admit this to and the one person who would respond with exactly what I needed to hear.
