Watching Jim ski reminds me of our many times going out with him with the other instructors, circa 1970-71. I emulated his arms forward style--maybe a little too much? He was a great skier and mentor!
seeing how much snow on the peak area of whistler brings back memories of this great mountain and seeing Jim and companion skier guy gliding over the glacier snowfields with amazing style and precision on the traditional ski equipment is humbling and inspiring to watch. this movie shows why skiing is such a magical activity.

Back country skiing in the mid 70's was very dangerous.
