      Yo, isn't Embergen great? I've found it to be really intuitive (if you're used to node based workflows).
      Also, if you want to render your composite, just mute the render layer node so you are only rendering the exr. Right click the Render Layers node and show/hide>mute.

    watching you make blender content gives me inspiration. You are right about the render pipeline. Sequencer is the timeline where you did all your animation and so. so turning it off will allow only the compositor to render. alternatively like you said in the video if you leave them both on you can do all of your compositing and render it all out at once. since 3.5 you can actually have a live compositing view in the viewport so it is even more handy. i like how you did it though, it feels more controlled. you are just Ace.

    Maybe adding some camera shake when getting hit from the laser and even having the camera been affected by the final hit from the robot in the end with a video distortion could have been some nice touches, but still amazing, need to look up Blender for rendering animation in the future.

    careful. the robot moves with the last bullet impact before it reaches him, and the robot might be out of balance in the last shots. As u said, a small step back from the front foot would have fit perfectly. Anyways you did an amazing job and you are a such a good reference actor. Your poses and movements are really cool to be honest, i was really shocked how cool you moved.

  • @Popkorn28
    @Popkorn28 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

    For the dof when working without a mist/depth pass I have used evee before to just render it out with that pass. Not an optimal workflow, but if it has to be fast it works well. Just render it out on low evee settings, ignore all passes besides depth and boom, fast depth pass

    Animation will always be the best part. For me, I had to create a personal render farm network just so I can speed up the process of the render times. Of course, this was all for the Internal Render Engine. I would not be surprised if I am one of the few that uses 2.79b.

    Not sure if you’ll see this, but where can I learn more about this “compositing” in blender. I’ve never heard of this and you’re bring that sequence to a whole new lvl! Also, where are you getting the sound clips? Those are great

    • @SirWade
      @SirWade  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I’ve build up a pretty good library of sounds over the years, with all the sound effects packs I’ve bought on Black Friday filmmaker sales 😅 Soundly is a cool software that comes with some (and has upgrades for more).
      As for compositing, there’s lots of tutorials for it in software like After Effects, etc but it’s basically the “blend everything together and apply effects on top of all the layers” step in the process 😊

    Hey Sir Wade, I think for compositor to not render the initial animation you have to setup your composite nodes in a separate scene. That is how I avoid the double rendering on my end. Amazing project. Really inspired buy how you integrate Maya and Blender. I am currently learning Maya and I'm starting to see the advantages of knowing both softwares.

    • @Arjjacks
      @Arjjacks 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's actually coz he had the render layer node still active in his node tree. If you mute or delete the that node and just have the image sequence, Blender will skip the 3D scene and only do what's in the compositor.
