    1. At the start, Ayesha described a populist leader as typically being a macho man with an inflated ego. However, I would argue that their ego is still far less inflated than those who hold crooked power and view the general population as inferior-like Pakistan's previous and current dictators, and if its ultimately a war of egos, the populist still wins since their ego is somewhat understandable, even if not completely justifiable. As for the macho image, I believe that reflects her personal perspective. It’s worth noting that history has seen female populist leaders as well.
In my understanding, what truly defines a populist leader is not their gender or ego but a combination of certain qualities: charisma, bluntness, a disregard for the societal elite, and the ability to rally the masses toward a common goal while uniting them against a common enemy.
    2. We often overlook the fact that, regardless of how inappropriate Imran Khan’s behavior may be or whether Nawaz Sharif stooped to the level of distributing inappropriate pictures of Benazir Bhutto, the principle of democracy still stands. The counterargument to this-and to Asad’s initial point-is Paracha’s support for the other side while abandoning any and all principles. Let’s assume Trump is bad, Imran Khan is bad; even then, democracy should be allowed to take its course. I believe we, as so-called intellectuals, make a grave mistake in labeling everyone who disagrees with us ideologically as intellectually inferior. Even if they are less informed or educated, no ordinary person intentionally acts against their own benefit, no matter their intellectual capacity. If a populist leader delivers tangible development for the country, who’s to say their leadership is bad? When they fail to deliver, democracy will naturally correct itself. No society has ever sustained its support for leaders who only talk without taking meaningful action. In my opinion, if actions are impactful, the rhetoric becomes secondary. Where was Imran Khan's populism when his government was failing to deliver miserably?
The establishment had the same plans for Imran Khan as it has had with other leaders in the past. They likely intended for him to become just another tool in their arsenal, with everything continuing as it has for the past 75 years or so. However, Imran Khan's resistance, which has made things difficult for both the current government and the establishment, is a testament, that he genuinely wants to make a difference for the country.
I am currently willing to give Imran Khan the benefit of the doubt, as he remains the only leader actively opposing the establishment. He has refused all deals so far. This situation has created a stalemate for all parties involved. The establishment views him as a serious threat to their power if they allow him to come to power without a deal, while Imran Khan sees a threat to his political career if he compromises with the establishment or the political parties.
This dynamic also undermines the solution proposed by Asad and Ayesha, which suggested that political parties need to engage in dialogue. Given the history of political parties in Pakistan and their failure to keep promises, this seems highly improbable.

After watching the podcast, it's safe to say that the original Eon's clip holds weight and is nearer to reality. Furthermore, a simple Google search presents the following definition of a 'populist':
Google: A person, especially a politician, who strives to appeal to ordinary people who feel that their concerns are disregarded by established elite groups.
AI: A person who works to give ordinary people a voice in the government or who puts the rights of ordinary people above those of the wealthy and powerful.
This clearly shows that a populist need not necessarily be a cult like figure. Elite groups, individuals, beneficiaries, and the ones who perceive themselves as a part of an elite group inhertly are against a populist. So in Ik's case, it's infact hate that is driving them crazy.
P.S: Imran is both a populist as well as an Islamist, adding to the injury!

Her central argument is that anyone who doesn't share her beliefs should be dismissed as a populist and prevented from governing, even if it means endorsing undemocratic forces like the military. She sees this as a noble act rather than a compromise. In her view, ordinary people lack the intellect to choose their leaders, and only "progressive" Pakistani liberals like herself are fit to make such decisions. For her, military rule is acceptable-as long as it supports the leaders she favors.

The hosts argue that Imran Khan is not a fascist because he does not meet all of the criteria for the definition of fascism. They also discuss the role of the military in Pakistani politics and the importance of civilian supremacy. The hosts argue that the military has too much influence in the country and that civilian supremacy is important for a democracy to function properly. Ah, so Madame Philosophy Extraordinaire believes a populist can't be a leader? What a groundbreaking revelation! I'm sure world history is weeping at the sheer brilliance of her twisted, mental gymnastics routine. And then she graciously informs us that populists are usually (gasp!) alpha males. Is this her thesis? Or just her therapy session masquerading as an opinion? I’m trying to gulp down her logic, but it’s like swallowing cacti-10 gallons of water aren’t enough. 🥴
Now, let’s talk about making heroes larger than life. Sure, I’ll admit IK isn't perfect-he’s got his head-scratchers, like that tone-deaf stance on rape cases and the enigma of the cypher. But here’s the deal: I back the guy for having the guts to dream big and actually try to lift a poverty-stricken nation. Enthusiasm and a dash of madness? Yeah, I’ll take that over the snooze-fest “leadership” we’re used to.
From where I’m sitting, she’s just another contrarian trying to stand out by dunking on a popular leader. Sorry, Aunty, but if you’re going to throw shade, at least build a proper foundation for it. Right now, your argument’s about as solid as a paper umbrella in a monsoon.

Some key points that went under the radar:
    - Vote of No Confidence involved horse-trading, hence, it lost credibility.
    - Even if she doesn't prefer Khan, that doesn't justify the historical election robbery in 2024.
    - Nawaz Sharif is corrupt (World knows), but Khan is not. You just can't vote for corrupt politicians and corruption wasn't discussed.
    - PMLN & PPP have a far worse history of Badtameezi in politics than PTI.
    - They were pioneers of this style of political opposition, instead she blamed Khan for starting the trend.
    - The question about an average person's options went unanswered, simply, because the answer tilts towards Khan.
WHY CAN'T THESE INTELLECTS ACCEPT THE FACT THAT PAKISTANIS HAVE CHOSEN IMRAN KHAN ?
HE SHOULD BE IN POWER REGARDLESS OF WHETHER HE'S CAPABLE OR NOT.
THIS IS DEMOCRACY, YOUR HAVE TO RESPECT THE VOTE.

Okay so after a quite long video there were few things I understood; Firstly, that both the parties were not arguing on the same point, Sir was right at his point that what so ever Imran Khan is, he is the choice of people and nobody has the right to suppress people's opinion after all we live in democratic country (where there is controlled democracy 😅), and Mam had a totally different point as she was not talking about the suppression of people's choice rather she was stuck at Imran Khan's stubborn, rigid and arrogant sort of personality.
But she was a graceful lady 🫰and was trying to explain a point that every Non PTI Pakistani (although he's not considered a Pakistani 😅) tries to explain their PTI Pakistanis.

Second id love for saad rizvi and some scholar to highhlight their position about blasphemy what characterizes and what can we as muslims do ( saad rizvi is leader of an extremist org. While a normal muslim knows blasphemy law means reporting incidence to police and let courts and police do their investigation)

She is a perfect example of a so called political analyst and a self-proclaimed intellectual that we often see on twitter labeling everyone 'jahil' who does not agree with their opinions and points, espscially when their argument is filled up with nothing but hatred for Imran Khan. And when I say nothing I mean seriously not a single fact or a piece of information that is worth debating on, and they are so anti-Imran (which is okay) and top of that also so ignorant (which is not okay) that the only defence they all have is to calling him (IK) names and stoop so low with that as much as possible; or, to start talking about 2018 elections.
God knows if they're being paid for being so supportive of the current govt/est. or just plain stupid.

I respectfully disagree with Ayesha Ijaz Khan’s perspective. It’s evident that her stance is critical of Imran Khan, which she’s expressed openly, including her preference for voting for Nawaz Sharif over Imran. However, it’s important to acknowledge that while Imran Khan entered politics and later leveraged establishment support to come to power, Nawaz Sharif himself was initially brought into politics by the establishment. Unfortunately, Pakistan’s political history has been deeply influenced and distorted by these establishment dynamics. This complexity is often clearer to those who have left Pakistan-not by choice-and maintained a non-political perspective. Not people like Ayesha.

BUT ARMY ONLY LIE THAT THEY HELPED IK IN HIS POLITICS TO MAKE THEMSELVES SEEM LIKE GODS, THEY LIED ABOUT BEATING INDIA IN WARS, THE SAME THEY DID ABOUT IMRAN KHAN, IN 2018 THEY STOLE 30 SEATS FROM IMRAN KHAN SO HE WILL HAVE A WEAK COALITION GOVERNMENT, SO THEY COULD CONTROL AND OVERTHROW HIM ANY TIME THEY WANT AND THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED.

She says that the time period between 2008-2018 was a better time period Democratically and economically. Truth is from 2008 to 2018 PKR went from 65 Rs to 132 Rs make Pakistan 2 time poorer. 1$ of Pakistani became 0.30$ in 10 years without doing anything. Imran khan left Dollar was at 185 Rs. And then Came Hybrid PRO Max Regime and Dollor went to 330 Max.😢😂
