Thank you Pete and Ken for another fun episode. I was unable to do the chat today because of family and business matters. Will check out the episode this evening.
I can happily inform you, that the Stygian Crown album is EXCELLENT; in fact one of the very best releases this year so far in my world... Trad./epic doom with a glorious female sonorous alto singer and crunchy, almost Bolt Thrower type gnarly riffs.. 👌👌
Thank you for all the great info! Side question: could you please recommend a TH-cam channel for contemporary jazz CD reviews? (I know that you occasionally mention one or two here, but it's definitely not your main focus).
Hi, I know that this may not be relevant to the video, but I do have a question to ask you. If you are a fan of an artist or band such as King Crimson for example. Do you feel it is necessary to listen and become a fan of all of the musical influences that such a band would have? Or do you feel satisfied with only being a fan of one of their influences? I would appreciate a response as I have been pondering this musical question in my mind for quite a while. I'm just curious what your stance may be on the subject.
If I like the band, I listen to the band. I don’t feel the need to go and hunt down all the inspirations that band has…though likely, I’ve heard most of them anyway.
@@seaoftranquilityprog Interesting. I suppose it would be nearly impossible to listen and appreciate every influential artist out there. I thank you for your response.
I used to dismiss Alestorm thinking they were just a one-joke gag that got stale about 10 years ago. But it turns out that they continue to crank out catchy songs that are tons of fun.
I just watched a live video of Nataraja...they believe in Karma, and me, too, to some extent, so, I think the less said the better...I'm trying to be nice, so even that should be deleted. But, hey...God,...I mean, Allah bless em', they're out there trying and they fooled "The Professor".😆

Look forward to giving the porcupine tree live release a spin. Hopefully will click with me unlike the studio version which was too average.

When is the Camel box coming back?
