  • In This video I make a simple Porch / Awning for a Workshop / Shed / Man-cave out of recycled materials. I use Pallet wood for the frame and a piece of scrap material for the roof. A great solution to stop rain getting into the building if you have the door open on a hot day. Looks nice too!

      Kudos for the video content! Sorry for butting in, I would appreciate your initial thoughts. Have you tried - *WoodBlueprints. Com* It is a great one of a kind guide for building better sheds and woodworking without the normal expense. Ive heard some decent things about it and my cousin finally got astronomical success with it.?

    Nice and simple build. I like that you’re using what’s available and saving money that way. I’m building a canopy over my back door and will likely use your bracket idea. Cheers

      Hi, yea I plan on doing a workshop tour soon. It's still in good order although I changed the top roof for a larger one. The framework is the same.

    Good build mate. The caps will be fine i use them to fix corrugated plastic and never leaks

    Also Phil I suspect that timber is pine, sometimes you get some decent slow grown pine with a tighter grain.

    • @PhillWyattProjects
      @PhillWyattProjects  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks yea could well be it was denser and heavier than the typical pine I usually find on pallets so as you say maybe a better grade

    I need to make something like this but the over hang on the shed is low and the shed door opens outwards.
    Any suggestions please

      You could still make a porch to span the width of the doors. Make the angle of the pitch shallow so that the doors still have clearance. To make up for a shallow drop in the porch roof you could make the porch roof deeper.

    Where can I buy a small table saw like that?

    • @PhillWyattProjects
      @PhillWyattProjects  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, you can find many cheap table saws if you search on google. Mine is an entry level saw. You can get them for around £100. All the entry level saws tend to be small like this one. Some come with a little table also.

    • @PhillWyattProjects
      @PhillWyattProjects  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes I agree I recently found out that it's poplar as I used some more recently it's quite good wood.

    • @hmax1591
      @hmax1591 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Poplar? Where are those pallets made? Here in the U.S. that would be very expensive wood for a pallet.
