Thinking of getting these. My farrier suggested them since my horse is barefoot and will probably keep him that way as long as I can. I have rocky property after it has been excavated to level out some land so I want to protect his hooves. Going to try to get the right measurements of his hooves after he has had them trimmed.

Thanks for the excellent video! I'm considering buying these for my horse as the Treks we've been using have caused small, kind of "hard" spots inside and outside of each pastern and I worry about them becoming actual sores.

Temperature note! Scoots are great on my pony I’ve been using them since November in UK. To others in colder climates they go stiff under about 12/15 degrees C and are much harder to get on. Now it’s warm they go on just like this! I thought I had a bad fit at first or due to slim hooves but they fit great. Just much stiffer to put on when it’s cold!! Now it’s 20 degrees they are going on just like in the video 😊

Yes, if possible keep the boots at room temperature they will always be easy to put on and the TPU will last longer :)

Do these boots wear and fit well with a horse that has a lot of feathers on the hoof area?

Yes they do! The feathers just fall over the boot. Email our sizing team sizing@scootboots.com to size your horse 😊

You can ride as fast or slow as your horse will run ❤️ with a great fit the boots will stay on in every condition. We often suggest to use the Mud straps if you plan on riding in gallop or jumping ❤️❤️
