Yeah it really damaged him for me, I didn’t watch much of nxt weekly when he was champ but I’d watch the takeovers and wouldn’t have a problem with his matches but since he’s come back to the main roster I’ve not been his biggest fan. But I will definitely give him some time before I start saying I don’t like him because with HHH in charge hopefully he could turn it around
@@canadian__ninja I find it funny that everyone thinks Cena is Vince's golden boy from Day 1 when Vince insulted him for his hair and body on the first day itself.
he had his debue against one of the goats. imagine he debued and loses to tajiri. kross losing to jeff hardy was a really good debue too. just wwe ruined him after it.
awesome vid ,i hardly remembered Charllotte losing her first match,it would be awesome to see a vid top ten of when ppl winning their 1st match and having a winning streak then getting totally cooled off
I remember watching the game show NXT with my mother and was the only person in the house who cheered for Daniel Bryan. They did him dirty back then, glad to see he's where hes at today
In NXT, LA Knight actually lost his first match I remember cuz i thought "eh, he's never gonna get over with showings like that" God have i never be so glad to be wrong
i kinda expected Sami Zeyn to be here... if memory serves me right his 1st televised match was against Cena when Cena challenged people to come after the Belt. even tho he lost Cena gave him center stage and Sami became a fan favorite already
That was quite a good match considering Sami injured his shoulder at the start. But he actually debuted on Raw about a year before that in an exhibition tag team match between the top contenders for the NXT title. I think Adrian Neville and Tyler Breeze were also in it, could be wrong.
There's a dark match in the early 2000s where John Cena faced Bryan Danielson where Cena wore bright yellow pants I think he went by his OVW name The Prototype Anyway Cena won
Speaking of Hardys, they appeared as enhancement talents on Raw for several years before signing contracts. If you count those matches, they lost quite a few times.
Skipped the section for #2. Couldn't care less about the most undeserving and over-pampered joke in the history of the business. The loss was deserved, if only as a preemptive apology.
8:29 "...seemingly bred for the business and taking to it like an immature and insecure man-child takes to defiling a woman's handbag..." Wait, what? Sorry but you lost me there. What does that analogy even mean?
Man that Karrion Kross debut is embarrassing to think about
It was definetly a direct shot to Hunter from Vince. I'm glad he has a chance to right some of the many wrongs done by Vince.

Insert Will Smith MIB gif >>> we don't talk about it anymore
I always thought he was really boring even in NXT so his loss to Jeff in like a minute was just pretty funny to me
Stuff like that is often why I consider NXT debuts the official ones these days. (Considering they go to NXT first)
Kross losing to Hardy is honestly still my favorite moment of his WWE career. Wildly hilarious
Seeing a seriously mind blowing character lose in two minutes to a veteran then have a HUGE confused facial expression?
This is definitely comedy.
Yupp it was vince sending a message to hhh vince didnt like him at all
😢
@@LucotIC. lol how is Kross a mind blowing character? What even is his character?
@@reddragon0624 ruthless, scary (for the things he can do), dominant. That’s his character
I remember seeing John Cena’s first ever match in WWE. At the time, I didn’t think he was going to last very long in WWE.
Well in the grand scheme of the universe he didn’t. As for a WWE career, not too bad
And omg you were wrong!
That's kinda the deal with most of these guys. Men that weren't perceived well at all by Vince.
@@canadian__ninja I find it funny that everyone thinks Cena is Vince's golden boy from Day 1 when Vince insulted him for his hair and body on the first day itself.
@@bradcarver8127 Yeah.. not bad, 16 world titles, 5 US titles, 2 Royal Rumble wins, Franchise Player.. not bad.
John Cena lost to Kurt Angle in his debut match yet he’s one of the greatest of all time.

same with jeff hardy he lost to razor in his first match
@@johnmarkson1990 Stone Cold and The Rock became bigger stars and did more for the industry in just a fraction of time... He's not even close.
I never understood why Eddie didn't cover Billy after the Frog Splash even if his arm was injured.

I actually didn't know that about the Jericho/Road Dogg match
Good segment to discuss 💯👏🏾

Even though cena lost. his debut will always be iconic
I'll always remember Cena's debut and I am not afraid to say Cena is my fav singles wrestler, fav tag team Road Warriors.
The Radicalz could have been so much more
I'd have put Walter being eliminated first in the Survivor Series elimination match on the list 😬
That wasn't his main roster debut. He wrestled an 8 man tag with Imperium vs Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens and the Street Profits
@@martyscurllisinnocent4324 He actually wrestle twice that night
@@giovanniaroca5755 true but him vs Seth Rollins wasn't much of a match. It went 2 minutes and ended in a DQ

"Hi, I'm Dolph Ziggler"
Haha I remember that. I hoped he would win the IC title and get that written on the nameplate.
I lost my first 6 matches in floor hockey, but ended up in the end, winning 4 full tournaments, and almost won the provential championship 😅
Gillberg also lost his debut match.
I like how most of these wrestlers lost to another person on this list
Pretty sure Lesnar lost his debut match against Mr Perfect.
Not televised.
@@ChristianAlbert really? damn, perfect still beat him clean though, one of the few people to do so. nice bit of trivia, i guess
Fit Finlay should have made this list, getting DQ against Matt Hardy.
Thanks to wwe 13 i did know already about Chris Jericho debut match
A good one!
John Cena lost his debut match and look he turned out
Sting and Vader. Hit the iron pole and got busted up

Duh captain obvious stop acting like that match wasn't a showcase on 2k.
It’s that time again!!!
Finlay also lost his debut match to Matt Hardy by DQ.

Charlotte lost her first match to an aging veteran in 2 minutes?

Sting?
Honestly John Cena should've won in his debut match against Kurt Angle
No he didn't because Angle made Hogan tap out that week and was pushed to be the #1 contender to the Undisputed Championship, he couldn't lose
