I agree. If anything else I would left the Flathead V8 in it and had it rebuilt. But Since they have already chopped it up and Disrespected ford The best thing to do now is take that Chevy motor out and drop a Coyote 5.0 down in it With a 6 speed manual transmission

My high school car was a custom '50' Ford. My car had a flat head V8 with tri-power...I would like this one better had it retained the flathead.

All that had to be done is install an aftermarket " classic design " aftermarket 6 or 12 volt $ 29 directional indicator switch that clamps right onto the steering column, as we know....🤣

Well, all and all, it's priced right for what it is, really not that much wrong with the fine old sweet car,and I believe why they went to a Chevy engine, alot of people love the Chevy engine, because you can inter change it to any Chevy engine needed, if someone wants to make it to a More of a resto mod, or a street gasser, it would be alot easier to do it, like that 😉 myself I don't mind it myself 😊
I think it this has no bearing, but,,, my 60 Chevy 2door windshield motor went ka-put, when i got out work right on r & r tracks, crew long gone zippo phone around, i just tied the wipers to inside thru to outside to wipers again pulling back n forth. Instant made wipers by hand to get home 30 mi away. Good old fashioned days
Hey, just inacse that is the original radio, you might wanna give it a minute before saying it doesn’t work, it’s most likely a tube radio, and if you want it to work, you have to let the tubes warm up first before you hear anything
That certainty is an eye catcher! Lot of little things need fixing but not bad for a 73 year old. Not a bad price either…. At least I don’t think so.

You might wanna put some clamps on the fuel line it's just hanging under the body. Except where it's laying on top of the passenger side exhaust pipe, look on the video and you can see it, hate to see it cause a fire

It's nice see 49-51 Ford or Mercury Sedan that hasn't been turned into lead sled i like 50 Ford in Nick's test drive don't know about 305 Chevy powerplant think 427 Chevy , 289,302 or 390 small block Ford would been better

I put the put the ford fireball engine in it if nobody knows what that is it 289 triple carb with headers and supercharger if you know in Tennessee lot of country boys was driving these cars doing the great moonshine era in the smoking mountains and Tennessee county roads with three on the tree with suicide handle on the steering wheel with the Hudson hornet that had the 331 small block hemi but Tennessee moonshine was used straight corn whiskey for fuel why they can out run the G-man my father had a 54 Ford coup paint with $75 dollars worth of red nail polish fire engine red with the 289 triple carb Three on the 3

Too much junk on it for me but otherwise I really like the car. They could have used some of that money to fix the original equipment that doesn't work. Can you imagine how sweet that thing would sound with the era correct flat head v-8 under the hood?

I can't stand the fact that people keep bastardizing these cars with Chevy engines,there are plenty of good Ford engines that would do the job,300 six cylinder or a 302 v8 would be much better
