You know, I don't think Sense is merely suppressing her mana. The Stille isn't just okay being near her, it actively follows her whenever she moves around. Something about Sense seems to attract it.
It's also entirely possible that people know who Frieren is, but it would never cross their mind that they might meet her. After all, most people have never encountered an elf and wouldn't understand just how slowly they age, and nobody is going to anticipate running into a hero from 80 years ago.
Also you wouldn't expect a legendary mage to not have taken this exam already. It's like learning that a legendary race car driver doesn't have a driver's license.
At this point, the demon king is 80 years dead. Also, everyone remembers Himmel the hero, not her. How easy would it be for anyone now to recognize Winston Churchill's top assistant, Brendon Brackett, if he passed you on the street?
another example that i heard is armstrong, we know armstrong the one who take the first step on the moon, but most people never know the name of the other 2 who were there with him. and that was only a little over 50 years ago, and we have internet access.
Bruh , even if Himmel was alive and came to them in his younger form , they wouldnt have noticed . People just dont expect to see them , so their mind is always telling them , that its not them
I don’t think Denken was completely confident he will beat Frieren. He actually knows who she is, and knows she’s a threat, but judging the Mana she is putting out and already having some info on her probably brings him to the conclusion that he’s sure he CAN beat her. He smart, being 100% certain in beating her is discrediting her too much, but coming to the conclusion that it’s a fight he can win makes sense. He just needed to sound totally confident that he would win big to convince Richter not to kill the girls. He knows that Richter should be able to handle the girls, and that letting him kill 1 would be the quickest and most efficient strategy. But Denken puts all of it on himself, if he wins the girls don’t have to die.
16:10 definitely not because in the earlier flashback the girl had, Wirbel was already an adult while Ehre was a child but in this flashback the girl looks roughly as old as Wirbel.
21:49 yeah but we nothing about Kraft. Frieren had a more bigger and recent achievement. The reason no one recognized her is because the rest of the party are in Himmels shadow. Even people who recognize her know her as '' the mage from the hero's party ''
To a certain extent they must know Heiter pretty well since he was a high ranking church member on top of being in the party of the hero although not as well known as Himmel of course, but yeah the other two are most certainly almost forgotten. Frieren is basically like the sidekick of Himmel's sidekick in popular consciousness.
No one recognise her , because they dont expect to meet her . Second , no one has seen an elf in their entire life , they cant comprehend the fact that they dont age. To them , Frieren must have died.
@@wamaschawama5178We dont actually know of thats ture as Serie seems to be ancient and was active during the Mythical age whitch is when the goddes that Karft worships was active in the world. Einfrieren means to freeze somethingg. But sure, sounds less good as a name. We also have: Kraft - Power the chef in episode 22 Lecker - tasty Sense - scythe (wuite funny when she said, she is a pacifist, with a name having the weapon of the personificattion of death).
As for frieren losing, sure its clearly set up to be possible but you notice she said she lost in the past by underestimating them. The fact she had that self reflection means she learned her lesson. Combined with how much older she is and how much stronger mages were in the past compared to today, I don't see her losing to any single living human now. because she will be cautious.
this arc put the idea in my head of what my own immortal elf-like sorceress would do, just traveling around but the local governments have put some restriction on travel. While a "magic test" may sound like a nice diversion, the only real motivation would be to not have to deal with the hassle of soldiers and guards at every checkpoint trying to arrest her or bar her way because she lacks that certificate. Like, "I am immortal, I have walked these lands longer than any of your castles have stood here, remove yourself from my path or else" but that becomes annoying....and also works against your goals to end up on wanted posters and chased by the local militaries and mercenaries and bounty hunters etc...when you have other things to do. But to held back by these restrictions...although in a our world type of setting imagine elves, vampires, and others dealing with the headaches of passports and closed boarders, when they're the nomadic type of immortal (the entrenched type with their secret shadow government societies probably don't care...heck in this series that's Zerie there who founded that whole continental magic society for whatever reason...guess she got annoyed of all the different mage guilds having local rules LoL.
Hey Alicia! You bring up some good points about history knowledge. I think in this world few go to any school. Education is probably for the rich. And even then, there are probably few history classes. A full rounded education doesn't seem to be a thing in Frieren's world. It might be that most people just either work as menial labor under someone and learn the job that way, or apprentice and specialize in some skill. So the world is forgetting Frieren, just like nobody knows Kraft.
I'd disagree on the part where it'd be nice if Frieren would lose this. Why? Fern wouldn't allow it. Frieren losing would be 100% fine with it. She has all the freakin time to do the test again. Fern doesn't. And Frieren definitely isn't a fan of an angry bean like Fern~ :v
Nah, she just hates classic tsunderes. She also doesn't like that Trope "Best Frenamies"--where you fight, and fight...and fight. But only YOU are allowed to harm them. Anyone else who gets involved gets double-teamed and kicked off a cliff. You see this in _Naruto, Full Metal Alch., One Piece,_ and a bunch of other, lesser Shonen. It can get tiresome and not all viewers are down with it.
I disagree, it reminds me of a quote from a show! "War is war, and Hell is Hell. And of the two, war is a lot worse..." "...There are no innocent bystanders in Hell.
