15 Things Tekken 8 DOESN'T TELL YOU

- Tekken 8 continues the series' tradition of being extremely accessible for newcomers while boasting tons of depth for fighting game fans to sink hundreds of hours into. With the addition of Heat and recoverable health, not to mention new techniques, it may seem a bit much for those diving into the series for the first time.
Fortunately, the sequel offers several options to help new players and veterans. Punishment Training helps nail the timing of counters on oft-used moves for characters; Frame Data is included by default, indicating attack startup frames and advantages; and Super Ghost Battle allows for improving against one's self.
Check out 15 tips and tricks you should know when playing Tekken 8. It's out on January 26th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. - เกม
It doesn't tell you how to "wake up" after being knocked down. Seeing my opponents getting destroyed because they don't know how is absolutely hilarious 🤣
How do I take advantage lmao
Lmao no way this is a real issue XD
Why lie
😭😭😭
Legit some newer players keep rolling forward, which is the least safe option off the ground lol
1:10 Nah, before Bread and Butter combos, fundamentals first. I'm sure a lot of people want to jump in and do the flashy combos, the EWGFs, and the KBDs but knowing full well the fundamentals would help you more in the long run. You need to learn movement, spacing, and when it's actually your turn.
1:51 The section about frame data actually started good but it's not always about combo optimization. Frame data is important to know when you are actually at a frame advantage/disadvantage with your moveset, knowing what moves you can punish with, when they are safe to do, setting up frame traps, etc.
Spacing is less of a factor in this game. Some moves are seemingly unsteppable no matter the spacing, hwo's heat activation attack is a good example. You cant even avoid that attack with a backdash when ur already at decent range. This is of course to promote CQB aggression, which makes spacing less relevant altogether
@@loto7197 As a Yoshimitsu main, I beg to differ. It's still very early but even with the more aggressive approach, the character's strength still isn't really in the close-up rushdown style as a lot of his legacy moves puts him at a disadvantage. Even his flash isn't as reliable as it once was. The new ones allows him to actually put some space between him and his opponent. I don't know about the other characters just yet as I just got the game and it hasn't even been a week so I don't know how this new philosophy translates to their playstyle.
@@BrokenNoah yoshi has many long range moves that make both approach and disengagement fairly easy compared to other characters. What any tekken character lacks, they usually make up for in other aspects. Close range isn't what I'm talking about anyway, im talking about mid range moves being somewhat harder to step. I haven't seen a yoshi yet in t8 to compare the tracking but he was fairly linear in t7 compared with a char that has similar extended hitboxes like hwo
@@loto7197 Yoshimitsu and "fairly easy" is an oxymoron. Believe me. I've been maining the guy since T2. It may look like it but it's not. Aside from his old flash and a few pokes and usable lows, he has difficulty disengaging from faster characters and a lot of his moves that allows him to cover fairly long distances are very risky and they move all quite linear. Sure you can get by at the lower to mid ranks with all his BS shenanigans at a reasonable level but once you get at the higher ranks, it's like hitting a wall. Experienced people can shut down reliably a lot of Yoshi's moves and you really need to get sweaty a lot of times.
Don't sweat yourself this channel used chatgpt to write the script and pay some guy on the other side of the planet to narrate the clip and Fiverr to edit videos.
In short this channel had to much wrong about Tekken that baffled me they said Jun is Jin's sister. What else do you want more lol.
Arcade quest is an amazing inclusion, especially considering how T8 is the first to not be released in Japanese arcades
hope this game can fix previous online issues
You can have stockings if you select both upper body and lower body clothes. You can only set hair color for the stuff already unlocked.
I'd recommend the character chapters to get an idea of each one, you get 5 matches to mess around and an ending cutscene for a payoff. At least do Laws!
the game got me interested in Tekken.. last tekken game I played was until tekken Tag Tournament 2 . after that I stopped playing Fighting games.. something about the faster gameplay and almost ;a litle mix of the DOA heavy hitting kind made me want to master all the moves again
I wish u could create your own combos and save those combos to a specific character and also reassign combo buttons to your preference
I love Reina's design, I think I found a main
Yeah, the reviews were right she's also one of the most fun characters to play as. I only got the game today, but with some characters you can instantly feel how much fun a character's fighting style feels. Also it means a lot to me that Lee Chaolan is back since he was my favourite from Tekken 2 from my childhood. I was beginning to think he was totally forgotten. Somehow in general this feels like classic and modern Tekken at the same time
Many of these are told to you in the game when you play arcade quest more. The game literally encourages you to practice, teaches you about punishes, teaches you that you can use money to buy customization options, and explains heat. Even when you play the story mode some of these are explained.
How do you turn combo assist off lol it randomly popped up and I can’t remove. lol

Great vid
Can't wait to get off work to play 🎉
What are electrics
5:13 HEAT system .note.
IT"S SO GOOD!!!!
Literally every item in this is told to us by Tekken 8.
Am I bugging or the game came out the 25th and everyones been saying 26th ?? I bought and played yesterday
Different time zones
It had a worldwide release. So midnight the 26th for Japan is 3pm for PTS.
To anyone who really wants to learn Tekken, stop watching such videos you wouldn't even get to geeen ranks.
If you really want to get good then
1- Learn the system of Tekken first that includes the basics like high mid and lows attscks creating distance and knowing frame data that is available in practice mode.
2. Learn to do side steps you'll thank me later
3. Learn to move like you're on crack (movement is majority of your game)
4. Learn to poke your opponents before combos
5. Learn the combos after you've done the first 4 steps.
Remember neither me nor you're the Evo champ but learning the game is the key to climb the leaderboards or just have fun while you know what youre actually doing instead of a button mash fest.
Good luck fellow player.
Best fighting game this gen
can we have an exobx version of the video please, i cant find triangle on my controller :(
Does anybody own Tekken 8 for their PS5s, Xboxes and gaming PCs? If so, does Bandai Namco (Creators of Tekken) want you to play online by using a Bandai Namco ID account or do you just hop online and play online anyway? For example, in Street Fighter 6, Capcom (Creators of Street Fighter) wants to you to create a Capcom ID account needed to play online on Street Fighter 6. Let me know, fellow gamers. Because I like to think before I buy Tekken 8. If Tekken 8 is going to be as bad as Street Fighter 6, then I'm sticking with Tekken 7.
No you don't need to create a count to play
@@alexbrown7902 Thanks for the heads-up. Street Fighter 6 sucks.
Lmao but yeah you dont need shit for tekken. Judt boot it up snd you are goldin@@TheRealDustinNunn
how to jump kick when laying on the ground???
But the video didn't explain what the ⭐ means😢
Why doesn't all the character in Tekken speak English and the reason for why i ask it's because it's very hard to understand them and even with the subtitles it's still hard to understand them so can you please at least try to make it easier for us fans to understand the characters in fact we love the game but one downside about it is that no one speaks English in it at all and that's a problem that needs to be fixed.
How to change language to english plzz
Why doesn't the game tell us things? Why ?
Heat and shit is literally the first thing it explains to you, it gives you a cheap dummy mode off the bat, so your buttons do bullshit easy moves, and the training is pretty in depth. Its all there laid out for you.
After SF6 and Guilty Gears tutorial tekken feels really disappointing in that regard
16: The customisation is worse than Tekken 6's.
Better in my opinion cause you got alot more option its also possible to do a cosplay its amazing
Regardless of whenever the server issues are fixed, so far Tekken 8’s online mode is disappointing. Too many key generic features are nonexistent. For example: me n my friends can join the same fight lounge, but we cant just easily & directly fight each other while in the same lounge. Cant spectate matches in private lobbies. No mic feature so i cant actually talk to anyone, especially my cross-platform friends.
I understand your disappointment, but give it some updates and I'm sure multiplayer will be better over time.
It’s hard because of the button input for combos.
1. It isn’t like smash bros where you press a button and the character immediately attacks.
2. In Tekken it’s more of a “programmed input” where you press ALL buttons in a combo and then watch the character do the combo.
3. If YOU DO NOT quickly press all the buttons in the combo, then you’ll get that single punch or single kick button reaction like in smash bros.
It really is an action game under the guise of a fighter.
TL;DR - items 1-54 on this useless list is pretty much the beginning middle and end of the combo system. Worthless watch.
👀
waow
16th Staple Characters like Eddie are paid DLC
To be honest i dont like the slow style and so many slow motions and auto combos 😫😫
Fighting and moves goes automatically.. like Tekken7 it was all about training and skills
The slow motions seem really jarring and disorienting from the videos ive seen but ill find out tonite when I play it myself. Im pretty quick to refund stuff I dont like.
slow mode are mostly in the story or critical end moments, if anything it adds to the hype not deters from it...
Yeah like everytime it happens at the end of the round. It's hype af even when I'm getting my ass handed.
Yeah after playing the game its not bad at all, very cool@@ZoneInOn
Another thing the game doesn’t tell you. There’s no goddamn bikinis in character customization. I wish I would have known before I bought it for dirt cheap from a shady key website.
Ultra based
Acuzena got one tho
for me it doesnt feel like tekken anymore
Feels close. The x rays are kinda lame.
Npc ahh video this is all common sense
😂
So… basically the same as Tekken 7.
Who are these videos for?
It does not tell that the game is idiotically imbalanced.
Great game, but I'm going to pass. I love the story, but the game is just not for me anymore
Why what happend ?
@@noyalsukhadev8516 because I no longer enjoy fighting games.
That's fine but why are you even watching if you don't like fighting games lmao
@@deadshota736hes tryna vent
@@deadshota736 umm, because I like the story? I can support the game without buying it or playing it.
I love Tekken but if you’re sitting in screens, looking at frame data, you really need to get a life and some fresh air…
That's a key factor to learning a fighting game. Playing fighting games, is my life and I have the window open for fresh air
@@mmansonnumber1 I don’t for one second look at any of that stuff and still have a huge win ratio online. You don’t need to do it.
So training equals no life? Just cause your bad at games don't mean we all want to be.
@@CrystalMang0 Haha. I’d take you out, no problem at all. Prepare as much as you like.
“Keep pressing Triangle” Way to be inclusive of everyone 🤦🏻♂️
pls tell me how to change the text language on ps5 🥲🥲🥲
Me toooooo broookkkk😐
You just change your console language
@@UZUMAKl- thanks, but sadly doesnt work for tekken 8
