      Honestly there's no point in even trying though claim qualified immunity like they always do and get out of it. Because they always get out of it..... None of this s*** with the costs will change until we have an outside police force whose only job it is to police the police on a federal level treating every abuse of power as a federal crime and making sure that they cannot get out of it and they go to jail for years based on those crimes. Until that happens well it sucks but the only choice you have is to avoid contact with the police at whole costs

    That is the stupidest thing I have ever read, just when you thought cops couldn't' t be any dumber. Unmarked car pulls up and some guys jump out, poor girl must have been terrified, no wonder she ran.

    • @JeantheSecond-ip7qm
      @JeantheSecond-ip7qm 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +54

      It is stupid, but it’s nothing new:
      On August 22, 2006, 12-year-old Dymond Milburn went outside because her mother asked her to flip their circuit breaker. But when three plainclothes officers jumped out of a van and grabbed her, a simple chore turned into a brutal police violence case!
      “You’re a prostitute; come with me,” they said. Milburn screamed, grabbing for a tree, thinking she was being kidnapped. One of the officers covered her mouth, while another beat her. After her parents heard the noise and came outside, she was hospitalized with a swollen throat, black eyes, and a bloody nose.
      But why were they coming after her in the first place?
      The Galveston, Texas officers were supposed to be looking for three white women they believed to be sex workers, NOT a 12-year-old Black girl!
      Still, weeks later police came to Milburn’s school to arrest her for "resisting and assaulting a police officer." It took three years and two mistrials for her case to FINALLY be dropped. None of the officers were fired, and one of them was even named "Officer of the Year!”

      Sadly that's not likely to happen . the people who are supposed to make that happen for us are cowards. What I mean by that is they try to smooth things over for both sides. That is not a good idea. Eg When I was in high school a kid I did not know showed up in early morning study hall (a holding place for early riser like me) and announced I had stolen my locker mate's books and he was there to beat me up right that minute. odd (I said) my lockermate is a girl, I see her several times a day and she would just ask if she thought that. I could have tried to sooth him and it might have worked ... but I was not charged with the roll of peace keeper or bowing to him. Instead I let him have it before his fist came down on my face (I was sitting). In my opinion These guys need to experience retribution in kind .. not some polite "let's all work it out" judge. The only thing to work out is how long they will be in jail and how quickly will they be fired without severance. .. Just my opinion I for one am sick of stories like this.
