On a very summery day on March 30, 2013, Phoenix and their opener, Mac DeMarco came to town to play at Crystal Ballroom. We brought Mac a Cock-N-Ball Voodoo Doughnut and walked down the Burnside St for a very short tour of Portland. This was totally spontaneous - wasn't even planning a video.
Had to turn it around in one day so the editing is basic. - เพลง

I met him outside a thrift store after he bought a bunch of hats before a concert that night. I got a picture with him, and as my mind was going a mile a minute I just talked to him for a little bit. when I was leaving I said “might catch up with you later then!” and he said “alright god bless”. honestly such a crazy experience meeting someone I’ve looked up to for so long. wish I asked him more questions

It annoys me that a lot of hipsters don’t like Mac anymore because he got too big. Fuck all that. That’s such a hipster thing to say. His music is good and it deserves the popularity. He’s not a poser or fake, he’s a true artist who sings from the heart. A Real genuine dude.

Mac came to play a show at my college in 2017. I smoked a cig with him by his van after the show and he gave me his record on vinyl. Awesome guy
