The one thing I love about this train that I don't see many people talking about is how dampened the noise of the train is from the inside. At least from this video, the only thing I can noticeably hear is the sound of the tracks, which is amazing tbh
I tried catching this train today, but I was too late unfortunately and I did not have enough time to wait to catch it so I’m gonna have to wait until they officially enter passenger service
Personally I think they will. Unlike the R179s which was a very troubling rolling stock when it first entered service, these new R211As have been tested for a while now. So far there likely hasn’t been any redos of the 30 day passenger test and seeing that it’s almost done, I can imagine that it will successfully finish it. The one complaint me and many others have about the R211As however are the speakers, they are quite hard to hear sometimes especially when a bunch of foamers are talking like waaaaay to loud. I’ve even heard some people such as Bklynkid52 go as far as saying the R179s have better speakers than the R211As and then being the predecessor, it isn’t a good look for these new trains. Hopefully the upcoming R211As will have better speakers as sets 4070-4074 & 4075-4079 have already been delivered and transferred to Pitkin Yard. As far as I can tell, the R211As future looks bright(except for the open gangways) ;( anyways that’s what I think what do you think from the videos so far?
that's how monitors work, they flicker faster than the human eye can see so you perceive motion instead. but cameras also have a shutter speed that only captures some of the frames.
