Wow, what a wonderful guitar, guitarist and conversation. I feel like I got to eavesdrop on a private conversation between 2 high level creative people. Very cool! I always love Michael's playing but this Dreadnaught took me completely by surprise with a very sweet tone, exceptional clarity and sustain for days. Rosie has a working philosophy that I enjoyed hearing and fully believe in - focus on what you do well! In this case, keep the Turnstone sound at the center of the building and design. All my favorite great guitar makers have their own sound that you can pretty much identify blindfolded. That must take incredible discipline as a builder of fine instruments. Congratulations on creating such a beautiful musical instrument.
    Thanks, John

Thank you so much for such a lovely comment John! I'm so pleased you enjoyed it and yes, we hadn't planned to converse like that, but it just happened naturally as we are both in our element! Thanks again for taking the time to so thoughtfully respond, I really appreciate it.

The sound of this TD is amazing and in concert with Michael's playing it is just perfect. Like your guitars, I had not known of them here in my little Cape Breton part of the world, I had also never knew of Michael and I thoroughly enjoy listening him talk about music and guitars and of course playing them. In my place here - the smaller body guitar was not as popular until Grit Laskin and Stan Rogers arrived in the 80s. Country music and dreadnaught styled Gibsons and Martins ruled. Keep building such wonderful instruments and keeps including Michael in your work. Oh to be able to own one...

Michael is the perfect choice to demonstrate the potential of this outstanding guitar. I was really impressed with the bass response - powerful, sweet and not at all overbearing. Very enjoyable, thanks!

Beautiful dynamic range with this build and still has lots of subtlety. Sounds amazing, of course!

@@TurnstoneGuitars This is a stunning guitar, but Rosie... Of all of the guitars out of your hands I love the apple back&sides - my favorite... Love that warm sound in the hands of Michael Watts. One day may be I'll order one ...

It sounds like a Dred but it has a bright bottom end. The bass is there but the trebles and overtones gives it a sort of pop or Jazzy sound quality. Very interesting. It's like Old Dred combined with new design. Great job!

Very articulate and detailed compared to a traditional dreadnought. I appreciate the piano like quality and balance of its sound in DADGAD. I like it. 🎧
