@@thiskid619 Nah, just noted down what they had and tried to brew a deck around it. I think I got most of it more or less right, you can see a lot of the cards in the video. Since the deck performed poorly for me, I deleted it after ~8 games, though... sorry.
I have played this with Archfiend instead of sheoldred and I can’t even name how many times I have killed soldiers/tokens etc with a wipe and having and archfiend or two on the field
The video intro is valuable because plenty of people watch but don't play regularly. Especially people may play but not deck build. So explaining the rationale for choices and the purpose of the deck adds huge value to your viewers!! And people who don't care can skip 😊
You should try to find a list of that deck and display your own version of course. Was very interesting deck the last one you faced! Anyway your cool love the content
Am playing a very similar Rakdos deck right now. I have milled out several opponents with multiple castings of Breach the Multiverse in the longer games - since you cast it on your turn, you don't care if both your libraries are emptied at the same time, after all...
Looking at the current meta and how it’s stalling, I’m seriously considering “investing” a good part of my wild cards to craft for timeless (I started playing 2 years ago and I’m ftp so I’d have to craft most of the cards used in timeless). I’m battled though cause looking at videos from you and other content creators the meta seems to be pretty small.
Same for me. Standard is currently trash and I think non-rotation was a (very) bad idea. I give a chance to the Markov Manor reveals in January and then I'll see if I go Timeless.
@@mathieujaillet5996 How the f is Standard thrash at the moment? I get that you might not like it, but I've never experienced a Standard on Arena that had this much diversity in viable archetypes. You can play basically anything you like and make it work.
@@mathieujaillet5996 lol - if you hate standard, get ready for timeless to be worse....either you have to blow a ton of wild cards to be competitive, or you've been hardcore buying packs since the beginning and have near-completion of all sets to not worry about it...only to still get randomly channel killed t1 lol

I just can't understand the deal with mono red. Like how is it fun to play a deck where you play your entire hand out as fast as possible and then when you get punished 1 time you scoop. Lol. How is that fun?
depends on the goal. if you're grinding rank, RDW is one of the best decks to do it - why? speed of the games. when you can complete a game, win or lose, in 3-4 minutes, you're cranking out 15-20 games per hour, with a deck that generally has a > 50% win rate...which equates to a consistent grinding up in rank. you can certainly do it with blue/white, blue/red/white, black/blue, black/blue/white, etc, etc....but those games generally take longer, so you don't get as many games in. those of us who have been playing a long while will grind rank with fast decks, and for fun, play in the play queue with dinos, or whatever, or go play commander/timeless/whatnot.
As someone who didn't have enough time to grind Arena anymore, I am happy to see I missed another two sets of Sheoldred meta. Playing against her never felt fun to me, sorry.
1st game "mono red your deck is trash" - 2nd game in the video "3rd straight against mono red" - implying that the trash mono red decks beat him twice after the 1st game. Lol.
It’s pretty much comedy to me that you hate standard because it’s all mono red. I’m in plat because I just started playing this season and haven’t played a single mono red. Maybe you should try a new account just for something fresh.
Statistically one goes second half of the time, therefore CGB hates half of the games he plays. How is that fun for anyone when you hate and complain literally half of the time?
This is everything wrong with magic today. The board doesn't exist. MTG is played in the Ether. The only problem is not everyone likes to play like this. The power of the control facet of MTG far exceeds that of people who like playing creatures. But to defend control players a bit, 1and 2 mana creatures are far to powerful and 4 + mana creatures are not nearly powerful enough. There isn't near enough creatures with hexproof or indestructible abilities. IMO
As someone who watches your videos on my TV, I appreciate the comeback of the deck presentation at the start 🙏

That last deck you played against was really interesting 🎉
I tried brewing it, it went horrible. Way too clunky for this meta. It came together maybe one in three games and lost hard the other two.
@@empirate100did you find a list of past it anywhere

The last cascade deck was pretty cool!
But the player was a douche.
Brilliant intro ❤️
Excited to watch some evil gameplay
love your quick intros!
Would love to see a best of 3 for this. It seems like could be great with a versatile sideboard.
24:50 should he have let the brutal cathar take his creature, then kill the brutal cathar, so he gets an extra bat?

When you see "Burn Down The House" do you also think of the Talking Heads song?? Lol
Finally!!
One serious deck.
Looking forward to seeing you play that Angelfire Discover deck soon.
46:57 why not 5 damage to all and survive? Anybody knows?
What deck was you played against? The one with the prototypes.
I really like the short deck tech beforehand

CGB secretly grinds rank with RDW off-stream ;)
Hey CGB, is there a historic izzet shell that supports Thassa, Deep-Dwelling and Etali? to get that exile cast each turn?
You ready for that Bama matchup on New Years Day???
Intro back. Yay!
The last match was stellar.
I play gruul aggro does that count?
i am CRUISING through the platinum ranks with a very very similar deck
Sick Deck.
Not gonna lie, that lovely title got me here...
that last deck is very fun
Haven't you noticed yet that whenever the opponent has mono-red sleeves and avatar they are absolutely NEVER mono-red?
Rakdos? I'm in

Only one extra bat : it triggers when Sanguine Evanglist dies, but the Cathar doesn't kill but exiles. Still a better choice though.
