Introducing Realism Mode and Custom Weather Presets in Ultra Settings
A complete review of the legendary DC-3, which has been significantly improved with the freeware mod from Duckworks.
The Douglas DC-3 and the military version C-47 is an aircraft type from the Douglas Aircraft Company and is the world's most famous aircraft with the longest history.
To date, an astonishing 16,000 units have been produced and some are still in use today.
The DC 3 had its first flight in 1935 from Santa Monica airfield.
The aircraft was characterized above all by its safety, robustness and high cost-effectiveness.
With the free mod from Duckworks, the level of detail in flight behavior is greatly increased.
With a custom engine start-up logic, manual supercharger control, oil temperature and pressure reworked, custom auto-rich lean mixture system and many more, flying becomes realistic.
For this aircraft, which is available to us for free, the textures and the sound system are perfectly implemented.
It's fun to fly back in time and experience a piece of history.
We use the scenery from Redwings simulation, which takes us back to 1935 in great detail.
Berlin-Tempelhof Airport was one of the first commercial airports in Germany and began scheduled flights in 1923.
From 1935 onwards, a Luftwaffe air base commandant was set up for military flight operations. From 1933 to March 1944 it was used primarily for german military purposes.
After the end of the war, Tempelhof Airport, located in the US sector, became a military base for the US Air Force.
From 1950 onwards it was partly used for civil purposes again and became the most important airport in West Berlin until it was closed in 2008.
Tempelhof Airport and the DC 3 became famous during the Berlin Airlift from 1948 to 1949.
During the occupation of Germany after World War II, the Soviet Union blocked the Western Allies' access to the parts of Berlin under Western control.
The Western Allies organized the Berlin Airlift to deliver supplies to the people of West Berlin, a difficult task given the size of the city and population.
American and British air forces flew over Berlin more than 250,000 times, mainly using the famous DC 3 in its military variant.
Seventeen American and eight British aircraft crashed during the operation.
A total of 101 fatalities were recorded as a result of the operation.
    I hope you enjoy it

I have seen some video tutorials/reviews on the DC-3 BUT this video surpasses them all. I grew up with my late Dad being a Dak pilot in the SAAF and RRAF and the scene you set in Germany brought back so many memories for me. Well done, thank you for a really very good video/tutorial. 🛩👨‍✈👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
