What a privilege it was to be in the audience during this most historic concert. I could not have been more proud of the diligence and dedication of brother Sidumo Jacobs kaNyamazele in his considered interpretation of Baba-SJ's Chunchani! I am thrilled to finally find a video of this performance on TH-cam - it's even better than I remember it!
PS: The "concert hall" is of course none other than the Musaion at the University of Pretoria.

Clean! Notes well-articulated. It's a pity our community choirs - those that compete in the likes of Old Mutual NCF corrupt simplicity like this with unnecessary excitement, vibrato, spasms, etc. even when singing African pieces. And it's even more pitiful that the audience loves these colourful dramatics.
+Benoni Molete, I have to agree. Black people cannot even sing Nkosi Sikelela without messing it up. They can't follow the basic rules of choral music.
