- BroadwayCon 2020 gave their audiences a special first look at the brand new "Mrs. Doubtfire" musical, with two songs from the new show - a number from rob McClure and another with the kids in the show, Lydia, Christoper, and Nattie, singing "What The Hell".

I love how the little boy knew the younger sister's mic wasn't up loud enough and he backed off of his mic when they sang together.
I’m still salty about Rob leaving Beetlejuice, but if he had to leave, I’m glad it’s for something like this.

you wanna see a sad puppet show
kinda wish avery's microphone had been turned up a little. the show sounds really good but i couldn't hear her as well as i can hear the other kids, even though she's holding the mic really close to her mouth.
The Con had a lot of sound issues this year, especially during First Look. We got an impromptu performance by Alex Newell because of it.
During six’s performance they had mic issues too. You could hear the higher harmony a lot more.
it was probably at the same volume as theothers, the sound guys prob didn't take into consideration how quiet she was gonna be but idk
I don't think that all movies should true into Broadway shows. But I like Rob and I get the what the hell song it looks good I'm suprised
how would they know if they didn't try
Not all movies need musicals but loveing this so far amazing
Just before this, he played Adam in Beetlejuice which is amazing
People keep comparing Tootsie and Doubtfire on account of the crossdressing plotpoint, but I can already tell Doubtfire has better music. I'm excited for this!
Also the people from Doubtfire consulted people who were trans to make sure the show wasn't damaging

@@99lodewijk The people from Tootsie did no such thing lol, they couldn't have cared less
@@owls2223 GLAAD made a statement a few months ago stating that Tootse did in fact ask for advice and Mrs. Doubtfire hadn't done it as of then. But to be honest the real difference is in the plot. Tootsie has a man dressing up for his own gain, taking away a woman's job and actively hurting people's careers, Mrs Doubtfire's reasonings are more selfless and display better morals.

saw the show in Seattle (loved it); 'What the Helll' was a highlight and those kids are crazy talented!

Saw the production in Seattle. Great show, great cast. Needs editing but I bet it’s gone through some fine tuning by now. It should do well.

I hate this music...sounds like every new musical that comes out. Contrived poppy crap. Rob McClure is great though.
Wait! Hold up though Lorne Stevenson! Shouldn't this be the way forward for musicals in general? I think to this day, when people think of musicals, they're still thinking about 1970s beats; Les Mis and old rag-time tunes. It's important that musicals incorporate more modern sound in order to attract today's audience. For me, aside from Book of Mormon and Hamilton, I didn't really start noticing musicals until I randomly looked up Heathers the Musical one day.
You're maybe a veteran of musicals but I feel only very recently pulled in and the pop sound is what did it for me.
@@SirRule I Hamilton and book of Mormon and Heathers is my jam! However, shit like this is terrible, it's uninspired and sounds the same, at least the shows you mentioned are good, but a lot of these shows nowadays...it just feels like copy, paraphrase and paste. Ugh!
@@kyle98ful Sounds like you've been at this for a while. Personally, I'm still digging up everything I possibly might be into. Maybe I'll burn out on the pop-sound eventually, but for now, music from Dear Evan Hansen; Heathers; Be More Chill; Beetlejuice and The Six are still haunting my dreams. Maybe the sound will change after a while and you'll be back into it, but for a newbie like me, I'm still riding high.

Right, I may be in the VERY unpopular opinions category here, but I'm just glad they didn't racebend the family, i.e. all the kids are white so I assume Miranda is too. I'm not racist, I'm just sick of literally EVERY musical/remake adaptation racebending something just for the hell of it. If the family in the movie is all white, that's how it should be. Nothing wrong with it, I don't get why literally everything makes such a big deal of it and HAS to include a POC in there somewhere to "prove" they aren't racist (like EVERY Heather Duke I've seen is POC yet her movie counterpart is white)

Will they ever stop with the constant film adaptations! Sorry but this was so weird to me. First off, way to show off two very forgettable songs as the first time people hear the show :p .And the writing of that 2nd song, outch. "this is just a bunch of crappin" I can't face palm harder. Very talented performers though. Rob McClure is the perfect person to play this role, but I wish it was never being made.
