I heard the news the other day and it left me in shock. We'll always miss you, Jeanine. You were a legend and didn't even know it. You were awesome in everything you did, I only wish you could've believed that -- and in yourself.
....I made a mini cardboard theater with silhouettes characters i downloaded online, my story is about a haunted house in a dark and foggy forest, a little girl called Sally, (Something like Goldilocks, naughty in going into someones home.) My story starts off in her sneaking out of her her bedroom window which is one floor up, she slid down the drainpipe outside her window, her parents are downstairs watching TV. She wants to investigate an old manor in the forest nearby. (HER MOTHER HAD WARNED HER MANY-A-TIME NOT TO GO TO THAT OLD SPOOKY MANOR IN THE FOREST AS SOME KID HAD AND WAS NEVER SEEN AGAIN, BUT SALLY WAS AS CURIOUS AS HER CAT STITCH, THE OLD SAYING, “CURIROSITY KILLED THE CAT“ WHICH SALLY SHOULD HAVE TAKEN HEED TOO) Her black cat Stitch follows her, trailing someway back from Sally, (I have various recordings of sounds as each scene is played out) her cat meowing quietly while following Sally, as she enters the forest, you hear the birds chirping and owls hooting. Then i play a gradual build up of suspense music, it gets loader as Sally walks into the forest. The menacing manor comes into view, (scary music at its pitch.) she enters the dark manor through a hole in the wooden fence, there's a zombie just standing still quite some distance away and watching Sally as she goes to the fence and crawls through the hole, the zombie is just on the edge of leafless line of trees, there is a full moon, it's head turning slowly as it follows Sally's walking. Sally comes to the large tall gray door with stripes of iron and bolts on them running down the door, she pushes the door, it opens slightly with a creak, then she squeezes in as the old door opens no more, Stitch follows in too. Everywhere dust, old cobwebs the size of large umbrellas hanging here and there, Sally sees the moon through one of the old dusty windows, its moonlight laying on the old wooden floor in a straight line reaching the opposite side of the wall. Sally sees an old painting, half faded of an oldish man with a down staring posture, eyes expressing a psycho stare, a slight grin could barely be made out. Stitch brushes Sally’s left leg, Sally jumps with a short scream, “Stitch you devil, well you’re here anyway, just keep close by, I’m real scared now!” Sally climbs the wide old staircase that is in the middle of the wide hallway, each step gives a little creak, she reaches the top, looks back, the moonlight now on the painting, Sally could swear the eyes had moved, they were now looking up from down there, was it the trick of the moonlight? Sally was too scared to go down for a further look, the eyes now look like bug eyes, black and beady, a serious staring up! Sally goes down the long, dark hallway, she sees many bedroom doors either side, some missing a door. Sally hears glass break, it was a room she just passed, Sally, turns, now shivering with fright, she reaches out for the faded gold-plated doorknob, pushes it and the old door creaks open more, she pokes her head around the door, the dank smell immediately fills her nostrils, she sees the glass laying on the faded wooded floor by the windowsill, after searching the room with her eyes, all clear, she enters, she goes to the window, Stitch is sitting on the windowsill behind a ragged dusty old curtain, “Stitch! Again, its you, two frights are enough for me for one night! Come on, let’s get out of this dead place!” As Sally picks up Stitch from the windowsill, her eyes catch a dark figure just standing on the forests edge, then it looks up directly at her, Sally jumps sideways to behind the old ripped curtain, peeking through one of its holes, she sees the dark silhouette figure come straddling towards the manor, a limping now and clearly not looking normal walking at all, in fact, it resembled a zombie walk, then Sally realizes, it was one, it sinks below the windowsill and out of view from Sally, Sally guessed it was heading for the front door! Then she hears a long loud creak, the zombie had bulldozed the door open wide, then she heard the thumping of footsteps, a limp footsteps sound, they got louder and louder as they climbed the old stairway, Sally knew it had reached the top, silence for around a minute, then the shuffling of footsteps, bedroom doors after door began creaking open. Then outside her door, she hears a heavy, whizzing breathing, Sally still clutching Stitch, runs for the door, hides behind, the breathing carries on for around half a minute, then she sees the gold doorknob turn, slowly the door opens, the first clump of a footstep sounds, the zombie walks in. It looks half around the room, its neck too stiff to turn fully. It stands still for awhile, like it was deciding what to do next, Sally just 4 feet from it, it limps towards the window, Sally noticed some skin dropping from its sleeveless arm, it was rotting away, it stank like Sally had never ever encountered in her life. It stood half bent down sideways looking out the window and sniffing all the while. A snorting sound. Sally could take no more, hearing her little heart pounding in her tight chest, feeling the throbbing of the beats in both ears, she moved one leg forward to round the door to flee, Stitch hissed at the tall zombie, the zombie turned around, its face near full skeletal, jaw dropped and black blood oozing out. It stretched up its bony skeletal arm to reach for Sally, limp walking all the while, one of its eyes hanging out on its cheek, Sally let out a scream that made Stitch reach out and scratch her face, Stitch jumped from Sally’s arms, onto the wooden floor and was out the front door in seconds. The zombie had almost reached Sally, Sally completely frozen in fright, rooted to the spot, the bony fingers lay on her shoulder, she karate chopped them away, Zombie extremely angry and mouth chomping at Sally, the zombie’s breath worse than a sewer on a hot summers day. Sally fell to the floor, zombie falls to its knees, reaches out again and clasps Sally right foot, one of its fingers snapping off, Sally’s shoe is pulled off, Sally crawls to the doorway, eyes as wide as dinner plates and Sally tries to scream all the while, but no sound comes out of her lips. The zombie reaching out to bite, its teeth half missing and a filthy yellow and black. It drooled thick blackish saliva onto Sally pristine baby soft leg. It’s saliva running down each side of her little leg, It’s as though it had a mind of its own, it moved intelligently on her leg. Sally kicked the zombie full in its face, its head spring-jacked backwards and flying away from its neck. It hit the wall, rolled and faced her, its eye following Sally as she got up, the bony fingers reaching for Sally again. Sally brings down her foot with the other shoe on, down hard onto and the bony fingers, a slight crack heard as one finger that was double bent, snaps.... To be continued……
@@okbhai4260 ......Sally half gets up, too frightened with fear to stand erect, she moves and her legs feel like two slabs of stone, the zombie's body gets up fast this time and reaches out blindly in all directions for Sally, clawing and grabbing aimlessly at the air, it unbelievably finally catches up with Sally, grabs her ankle, Sally pulls hard away and the wrist snaps, the half bony and rotted hand still clings to Sally's little pink ankle and Sally runs. She makes it to the stairway and trips, hits the old wooden hand rail which snaps away in some places then tumbles all way down to the bottom, her body hurting all over. She lay there dazed for a moment then got back her senses, the headless zombie crashing around at the top of the stairs, it too, tumbled and ended up on top of Sally, it clawed widely tying to turn around on top of Sally, Sally pushed hard away the Zombie, it stood up then proceeded to scuttle toward Sally, it tripped up on the rippled old carpet, fell next to her, Sally jumped up and ran, the Zombie surprisingly jumped up fast too, it somehow sensed noise and followed Sally's footsteps. Sally pulled on what was left of the old front door, it not being enough to slip through, it wouldn't budge, Sally ran to the window and doved though it, ripping her skirt almost into two, she landed on some dead flowerbed, roses that had died decades ago, the thorns sticking into her, she used her one footed shoe to slam down hard on the still clenched zombie hand, it broke away leaving jagged bone parts exposed and fingers lying close by. Sally ran like she never ran before, Stitch way up ahead just barely seen by Sally, Sally finally saw her home in view, the soft yellow lights of her home beckoning her to enter within, Sally made it to the drainpipe and tried to climb, but was to exhausted and filled with fright to climb, she stood there waiting for her strength to return, then she heard the crashing and breaking of branches on the forest edge. She squinted her eyes in the moon lit night, barely seeing the silhouette of the zombie just out on the edge of the forest, it stood there swaying to and fro, then turned sharply at Sally's direction. Sally tried again to climb the pipe this time some strength returned but not enough to climb with speed, the zombie just 10 feet away, 5 feet, 2 feet away, Sally pulled her self up with just arms now, her legs wildly walking on the wall but slipping away each step, the zombie arm outstretched with a jagged wrist bone stabbing at her sounds, one jab and the jagged wrist bone hit the wall just an inch away from her leg. Sally fell, landed just 1 foot away from the frantic headless zombie, she crawled away from it, it stabbed her skirt pinning her there and then, but it had not pierced her body but held her skirt down, she ripped away her skirt , got up and tried again for the drainpipe, this time a strength she never seen of herself kicked in, she climbed reached her bedroom window, fell in and immediately looked back out, the zombie now blindly walking fast like a drunkard, it came to the swampland and waded in, all the while, stabbing the air, it went in deep and swishing of water was all that could be seen, then moments later, the swamp pond lay still like nothing ever happened. Sally's parent slammed open her bedroom door till it hit the wall hard, her father and mother not believing in what they see before them, Sally completely covered in dirt, ripped clothes, skirtless with lots of cuts to her face, arms and legs, both parent shout at the same time, “Sally!“ Sally slumbers toward her father and falls into his arms like a thrown rag doll and blacks out with eyes still wide open. Deep breathing came out of her, much like the zombie's breathing only her's much slower.... The End.
BITTER 101 Make them as stock backgrounds, ie a forest, a city scene, an indoor scene etc etc. Then from a slit above, along the width of the box, you can slide in any background you like. Pair that with a dimmer switch and you can change scenes. It all depends on how far you want to take it.
