Actually, it's the base that makes the engine dear activate at a certain time, the engine gear is only for making it happen and activate in a certain spin.

Dranzer V2 I think was the first that had the Final Drive/Survive gimmick, and it was both mixed together, whenever it would battle it'll switch from sharp to attack, then back into sharp repeated process during battle until it loses spin of course.

When I was a kid, I wanted a beyblade so bad, but my parents would only buy me things for Christmas or my birthday. Finally they let me pick a beyblade off ebay. And I grabbed this Japanese Dragoon G, and it was fuggin amazing.

Two years ago, I went on a collection spree for the past generation plastic beys. I can easily say I wasted more than two hundred dollars by the end of it.
I was honestly surprised to see some of the rarest ones are more commonly sold now. Back then, a Dragoon V2 would cost over a hundred dollars, and that's if you're lucky enough to find one floating around. Now, though still quite expensive for a toy that cost eight dollars when it was still in stores, it's not that hard to come by nowadays.

@@jamesbedoya1724 just saw this haha. haven't collected in a long while since that comment but i do research once in a blue moon and the go-to is still ebay! buying them by themselves can still be quite expensive for rarer ones but my favorite method was always to search up "beyblade plastic lots" and there's still people selling their old collections in those. there's a lot more sifting now than before because of the trillion metal ones out there, and the wear and tear differs but you'll get some gems sometimes. i got a g-revolution zeus bey from one of those that costs in the hundreds nowadays.
the only thing to avoid is TT Hongli branded ones because those are fake. they're cheap of course but they will break easily or the stickers will be poorly made and peel off quick. aside from that, trying to snab this stuff in an auction for cheaper than they normally go for is a tricky but rewarding venture! i hope to start buying some again when the time is right, but good luck with building a collection and thanks for bringing this comment out of its tomb!!

and the engine gear doesn't determine when it releases, it's the blade base. dragoon's is first clutch, so ti releases at the beginning. and dranzer G's releases at the end(final clutch) and the dranzer you guys mentioned was dranzer gt, with the reverse EG. it was designed to fight other right spin beyblades, and counterattack by coming in from the other direction
