I can't wait. I've been seeing such mixed reviews about the Honor's cameras. On another note, Samsung is completely overrated. I don't think their cameras are up to where it should be at this stage. Imagine if Huawei was never banned. They would be wiping the floor with all these other flagships.
Honor camera sucks. I just sold my 5 pro, hoping it would replace my trusty Huawei and there's just no comparison. Ended up getting an S24U that, as far as camera is concerned, is much, much better.
@@MarceloReis1 The 6 Pro seems to be doing very well though especially in night shots compared to the Samsung. The only thing it doesn't beat it on is zoom.
I can't speak for the 6 pro, but I had heard similar claims about the 5 Pro. Trust me, I really wanted to like that phone, but the subpar camera didn't let me. Colors were way of, zoom was pathetic even at 10X, and night shots were dismal and portraits were a joke. Basically I believe the problem was processing related. I'm just warning you to try it out with your own tests before building.
I think I'd give the Honor an extra half mark just cos it looks a bit different at the back, ie, a textured finish contrasted with the chrome surround. It can't be easy going forwards with phone design but credit to Honor but being imaginative. Great vid, very clearly explained, to the point and no waffle. 💯
I would love to get the Samsung S24 Ultra phone, but their screen green line issue has not been resolved yet. This prevents me from getting another Samsung phone as I have had their screen line issue 2 times within a year. I replaced the display screen and less than a year later, the same problem came back and it was no fault of mine.

Like the comparison, but realistically wouldn't you say if you are in the market for a sub £1k candy bar the two current phones are the HM6 and the O+12? Will you do a head to head of those two??
I just sold my Honor 5 pro. I loved many things about the phone, but mainly the looks, battery life and the IR blaster, but other things were just too annoying. The camera is simply not as good as advertised... Color is of, low light, portrait and zoom beyond 10x is a joke. Software updates, what software updates? Mine was the global version so no Google issues.
My first Samsung phone was the A71 and it made me fall a little bit in love with OneUI. So I replaced it with the S21U the upgraded to the S22U and now the S24U and I'm deep into the Samsung ecosystem with a TV, a tablet, 3 different ear buds and the galaxy watch 5 pro. And also the Zfold 5. So it's not going to come as a surprise when I say I'm spld on the Samsung software experience. But I would love to have the chance to try out the software experience on some of these Chinese brands. I've had a OnePlus and still have the OP Open. And for me OxygenOS just isn't my cup of tea. It's not bad but just not for me. I've also had and used the Huawei P40 pro and absolutely loved that phone. It doesn't offer everything that OneUI does but it offers almost enough. The problem is that there are just too many compromises in using it for reasons that have nothing to do with the software or Huawei. If it wasn't for the US ban there's a good chance in fact that Huawei would be my phone of choice. I even have a Huawei watch that I love. But it is what it is. I want to try Xiaomi or Vivo to see if they can give me the software experience but I'm not spending $1,000+ on something that might leave me wanting. So I'm stuck with Samsung, but not terribly mad about it, just a little disappointed. 😅
I still have my P40 Pro. I love it. Even after 4 years the camera is extremely competitive and may actually take better zoom shots than many new flagships. I agree that I am struggling a bit with compromises related to the US ban. It's so unfair. I would still be consideringHuawei if it wasn't for this. Honor seems to be a Huawei experience but with Google. Just sad the cameras don't seem at Huawei's level yet. I just can't with Samsung unfortunately. @@SDav21 I love my P40 pro! The zoom on my S24U is better but not nearly as much as you would expect considering the P40 has almost 4 year old hardware. And if I'm being honest I think the main lens of the P40 is as good if not better than the S24U. As much as I love everything about Huawei and I'm excited to see what they do with the P70 series it's just too much of a compromised experience living in the US. I'm sure if I lived somewhere else where Huawei had a physical presence I would be all in.

In my country, Huawei still has dedicated stores and I have all Google apps on my phone. However, sometimes I can not get authentication apps, I can't properly open links from WhatsApp people send me etc. I manage but it isn't as seamless as my Mate 20 Pro was.
Thanks for the compairson Dad. I'm in a bind as I'd like the IR ability of the Honor to control remote devices...but the "S Pen" thingy of the Sammy would be really useful for making instant notes. Is there a setting on the Honor to not display all the way to the edges, so you have more of a square display? That would seal my choice to be honest, not a fan of not seeing all the display flat. Was definitely impressed with the anti glare but would be concerned about the throttling especially over time when phone is stacked with software and updates. Also as that weaker battery ages it will get hotter adding more throttling.

I also have an MP6 pro (global version) and even though the screen brightness is manually set to maximum in the sun, it goes dark after a maximum of 2 minutes. Even when I use auto brightness. The phone is not overheated though. This is normal?
I actually preferred some of the honor photos As I felt the more washed out look was probably slightly more life-like. Although in others Sammy definitely took the best

I thought that the Honor’s speakers sounded clearer and cleaner with a tad bit of bass better than Samsung. Samsung’s speakers sounded a bit muted and restricted.
I just bought the s24 plus from trading my s22 plus and I kinda regret it because the honor magic 6 pro is just everything in a flagship.ive wanted if only i waited a few more weeks i just didnt want the s pen was the only turn off for me for the ultra great review though. Nobody i see is doing a full dedicated video on it

Had bad experience using samsung phones. Green line on the screen is too common on sammy phones. Happened to s24u. As for honor, they r still working hard to compete with apple n samsung. They need some software updae to make the camera perfect. 1st 180mp periscope smartphone camera in the world. Definitely need some experiment to make it perfect

I'm a little sad about the Honor's zoom. The 30x on the Samsung was way better. The 30x on my 4 year old Huawei P40 Pro is excellent. I need an Honor magic 6 in hand to see if it is better. If it is, I will go with the honor. I just don't like Samsung. I've had too many issues with Samsung in the past. I want the Oppo Find X7 Ultra or Vivo X100 Pro but neither are with global carriers. It sucks. So we're stuck with the honor. Or the Xiaomi 14 Ultra but they don't bring their flagship phones to all markets. 😔
I just saw a comparison review between iphone 15 pro max and 14 ultra and iphone was winning even with 5x a night and 10x day light was comparable even digital zoom.. But 14 ultra failed with zooming at night and ultra wide issues and night video bad I think trying to get global oppo 7x or vivo x100 pro or new ultra..

samsung software can not be beaten ....5600mah doesn't mean it can last longer i doubt Honor has that good optimization to get full benefits of that 5600mah which make it kind of pointless ... the question is how much hours you will get more ? and is it really worth it to ditch samsung ?? i don't really think so. just my opinion

Good lock app is not available everywhere in Europe ... so this is not a valid point for me...and after the last update of Samsung messing up my Google Wallet app and now I cannot even pay with my S23 ... I am looking at Honor...if Samsung doesn't fix the Google Wallet app with their next update in June ...I am done with Samsung for the next 100years. Last friday when I was using it with Android Auto wirelessly in my car...the phone overheated and closed all the opened apps ... I am disappointed with Samsung. Never used DEX..I don't need DEX...but I need contactless payment every day....and the irony is that ... although they messed up Google Wallet with their may security update ..they don't even support Samsung Pay in my country....despicable Samsung!!

To my unprofessional ears, the speakers on the honor magic 6 pro are slightly better than the ones on the Samsung.
I confirm, I tried them both in my hands, and the bass is deeper on the Magic 6 Pro, but the highs are slightly better on the S24 Ultra.

The new software was coming to the honor in May, official, so it should have it now.

The honor magic 6 pro has a film installed, it gives several times more glare. I took off the film - the difference is VERY huge!
That is called a screen protector lol! not a film! you now have a scratched phone lol

@@AverageDadOfficial I asked Honor Germany about the protector. They said the one the phone is deliverd with, is only for transportation and should be removed after you received the phone. If you want, you can apply a real a real screen protector or use it without. here the original text from the support in Germany:
"Wir möchten Sie informieren, dass das Honor Magic 6 Pro nur mit einer Transportschutzfolie kommt und nicht mit einer richtige Displayschutzfolie. Wir empfehlen Ihnen am besten die Transportfolie zu entfernen und eine gute Schutzfolie für den Display zu verwenden"

Good lock app is not available everywhere in Europe ... so this is not a valid point for me...and after the last update of Samsung messing up my Google Wallet app and now I cannot even pay with my S23 ... I am looking at Honor...if Samsung doesn't fix the Google Wallet app with their next update in June ...I am done with Samsung for the next 100years.
Last friday when I was using it with Android Auto wirelessly in my car...the phone overheated and closed all the opened apps ... I am disappointed with Samsung.
Never used DEX..I don't need DEX...but I need contactless payment every day....and the irony is that ... although they messed up Google Wallet with their may security update ..they don't even support Samsung Pay in my country....despicable Samsung!!

Not sure what you mean but... look at my full review and know that i have not been gifted the phone like other reviewers with a script to follow
@AverageDadOfficial probably right ? I bought one anyway only thing disappointed with is the official case would of been better a softer material than a hard plastic ? Probably scratch the phone up? No other options for cases anywhere ? It's the first honor I've had just wanted a change.
