- 28 May 3310: In this week's news, the Anti-Xeno Initiative declares war on humanity. The Thargoid War has changed. And the Pilots' Federation zookeepers might, just might, be about to give us a glimpse of the Lakon Type-8.

Awww cmon. Requesting a right to comment on the record here: Response to GNN’s video about “AXI declaring war on humanity.”
th-cam.com/video/duI9IhBIKCM/w-d-xo.html. A few sacrifices for the greater good is hardly a “declaration of war”… Those NPCs, while well intentioned, would get a lot more people killed … they ignored all calls to stand down and get out of TitanSpace … we saved many lives while reluctantly sacrificing a few … it’s all for humanity’s sake ;) - CMDR Mechan
Nice justification of straight murder, commander.
Of course it just role play, but I love the narrative that we slowly but surely becoming the bad guys here. Makes it feel like reality.
So you destroyed AX pilots to defraud the Pilots Federation? Is that what I’m hearing, with an admittance as well?
tbh nice work that’s funny as hell
The recent expansion of Odyssey has led to a significant shift in the Pilots Federation's priorities, particularly concerning suit upgrades. Over the past few years, a distressing trend has emerged, with numerous Elite and Dangerous pilots resorting to extreme measures, including mass violence against planetary populations, to obtain basic supplies for upgrading their suits. The resulting loss of life has reverberated across multiple civilizations of spacefarers, prompting widespread condemnation of the Pilots Federation. Many now view the organization as akin to an evil terrorist entity, especially given its actions in restricting access to critical systems that could aid in counterattacks by AXI (Anti-Xeno Initiative). Furthermore, concerns have been raised about the Federation's leniency in penalizing pilots for acts of murder and the devastation inflicted upon innocent families. In light of these developments, it's becoming increasingly apparent to some that the true source of evil lies not with the AXI, but rather with the Pilots Federation itself, which has evidently undergone a troubling realignment of its principles.
AXI is a closed loop of jerks... they are no threat to humanity, and barely figured out how to kill Thargoids effectively in the last 6 years. AXI does have some nice colorful brochures detailing the attack styles of different Thargoids - and will always be praised for their brochures alone.
To the people rebuttalling in this section, take note that this took place in an *ANARCHY* system.
Bullying the NPCs is just such an Elite thing. From leeching kills off NPC police, to farming manufactured materials from tour ships at Hot Jupiter, and now dropkicking AX NPCs just to make AX easier.
AXI: Kill AX Pilots
Gankers kill AX CMDRs
AXI: No not like that.
@@genogaron REAL AND TRUE
I can taste the salt at the end
It's really sad how galnet is dead again. It adds a lot of flavor to the game. Hopefully it comes back with poweplay 2.0 but I doubt it
I would have no chance of keeping up with the Thargoid War. But thank God there is Galnet News Digest!:)
I'm getting all I want of the Thargoid content right here. I find it very interesting, but I want nothing to do with it in-game.
Thargoids have made me rich...very rich...
...AX missions have also maxed out my manufactured materials - it's great!
I helped with the first titan in a krait. lol I ain't doing that shit again not in a wing
I hope type-8 is a literal flying square
Borg Cube when?
@@brokenweltall Which should be able to land on a medium size pad because "Resistance is useless." :)
Orbis stations dock inside *it.*
Flying saucer, complete with tea cup
It needs to be able to enter the mail slots of space ports, so it has to be either a relatively small cube, or a relatively flat cuboid.
The timing of this Hadad going 'pop' was awesome for my timezone - 12:30pm (Sydney/Melbourne). First one I've been able to watch live :)
I love you two.
Don't you go nowhere.
"All these human ships are making the thargs more aggressive. What could we do about it?"
"Just kill them all!"
"You mean the humans?"
"Yup!"
"Sounds good to me. Let's go!"
Don't get hit then. It's not difficult to hurt a titan unnoticed
:C I worry about the state of the narrative, i really hope it comes back, i love this channel!
Thank you once again commanders for producing this video. It really is a shame that Galnet has been…. Absent. Your videos are fantastic. Can fdev not just ask you to write the news as well as read it?
No of course not. That would mean acknowledging any sort of connection between them and the playerbase.
Cyclops has increased to 8 mil and Orthrus is now 15mil. So Cyclops is not worth more than an orthrus. Unless things have changed since the patch notes from last week.
That's me reading it wrong- I looked back at the script and Wotherspoon had written hydra not cyclops
@@BeetleJude Someday, AI technology will be able to do such things as help proof read for continuity and logistics. I hope you are ok, once the dust settles.
I always like to come and visit your place.
I always come back.
Thank you for this review, great work as usual. 🤗
Great work news readers! Galnet isn't Legacy Media yet!
I been waiting several years for the type 8 finally my wait can end after playing 6116 hours
we need a galactic war crimes tribunal
The Type 7 needs to be a medium ship, and the Type 6 should be a small. Annoys me to no end that they got put in the game like this.
2:35 that goof. I'm so happy you guys kept that. XD
Ikr?
Just another stop-gap in the Onion. Fdev are allowing the site to be farmed at a new cost. The onion has so many layers, eh Donkey? -Shrek
Love the closing shot!
Really? Only one article in 3 weeks? Man, and here was little me, hoping FDev would breathe some life into Elite.
o7 cmdr's great update as ever 😎👊
So well written. I love it ❤️🔥
Still waiting for a guardian tech ship or even a thargoid/human hybrid ship that has no shields but can regenerate its hull/bulkheads.
I am not a fan of making the already trivial AX even easier. It all looks like they want the whole thing done and forgot in a timely manner, above all.
Hi, y'all have any intentions to have a guest to read the news? I would love to audition to do so sometime if theres a way to do it!
Well, are they going to make all the old ships obsolete? Or will they eventually add the "better FSD SCO management" to them aswell?
They had it coming!
I know what you did at Hot Jupiter GND!
How many Titans left at this point? I've lost track.
Lol there it is. The eventual change because the amount of players willing to slug this out has plummeted since the initial titan combat started. They just had to draw this out as long as possible.
Freaking AXI moved too fast. Barely 24 hours from the defense drop to the meltdown.
Makes it hard for people that have other things to do able to get in and participate in smashing the titan.
Not sure why they feel the need to smash it as soon as possible either
@@thekingofawesomeness9173 ooh, purging of xenos is always a glorious thing. Just annoyed I couldn’t get a few wacks in
@@mikewaterfield3599 yeah that's what I'm saying! They kill it so fast others can't join in on the fun
There were many players that had nothing to do with AXI as well. Some of us were just farming creds or trying to beat each others 'high score' for core dmg
@@thekingofawesomeness9173 that's why you hit the titan before strikes begin. It doesn't need to be when it's at its weakest. AXI leadership flat out said like a week beforehand to get your 2m in if you won't be available once strikes start full time
Interstingly, I had no issues with the NPCs at the Titan.
Apart from the odd occasional unplaned shutdown, that is.
And I went there 3 times.
Maybe it is because I hunted solo?
Anyone else, who had similar experiences?
Anyway, if the NPCs would have been a problem, I would have done nothing against them.
Not only because I wasnt set up for it, but because it feels wrong to me. ;)
o7
same, mechans smoking something
Lol the pinned comment states the NPCs were told to get out of Titan space, like how tf you gonna make the NPC pilots ditch? Does it work like Counter Strike when you tell a bot to stay or follow haha. Just sounds like the NPCs were getting in the way of the credit farming, and got blown up so the credits per hour wasnt ruined...
No mention EVER of the burr pit saying to go and kill humans at settlements for odyssey mats, hypocrisy is real, I guess...still waiting on the apology video btw. Screenshots on this so you dont censor it.
new ship 1, combat
new ship 2, haulage
new ship 3,.... explo?🙏🏻
LOL. FDev don't give a hoot about exploration. they accidentally gave us SCO (intended for the goid war but accidentally helpful for exploration with the slight increase in jump range and the massive boost to getting across the huge solar systems). Ship 3 will be another shooty ship.....unless we're getting atmospheric worlds and a ship better suited to landed on such, but I think that's more like never away.
@@disorganise2536 let's see.
Arthur did use the phrase on a recent live stream 'more reasons to get out there and explore' when talking about this year's new content.
So... I'm not as blanket negative as you, but my finger's are crossed.
@@thelionsam I hope they do have something exploration related. I got very bored after Odyssey arrived. I've gotten in on the titan destruction thanks to AXI but it gets repetitive.
Not sure that a ship would count as 'more reasons to get out there and explore' - same crap, slightly different cockpit imho. More landable planet types and the associated types of life would be great, but I don't think they've got the dev resources at the moment.
Maybe there's another race of aliens to be discovered so we can all do the pew pew over again with a different suite of weapons that have to be unlocked. Rinse n repeat Thargoid war with different assets.
@@disorganise2536 another war? No thanks 🙂 Skirmishes and tension ok, but not a years long war again .... 🙏🏻
I'm hoping for astronomic phenomena like meteors, redone black holes, radiation hazards, gravity traps, aggressive void life, more ancient ruins to do archeology on, .... Don't really care about thick atmospheres and full biomes tbh 🙂
Well the second ship does not look like a haulage ship though
Elite isnt the same without GalNet.
Mamba gang o7o7o7
Ha neat
Thanks, I'd like the Type-8 to be like the Type 9 or 10 with the difference being it holds significantly more cargo. o7

So basically "no news" for anybody not interested in Thargoids.
Well, if you're more dependent on one source of income you put all your eggs in one basket. Sound strategy.
Oh and of course drop GalNet... again.
what other news did you expect its almost as if we are in a war
@@CMDR-7652 You may be. I'm not. I'm 23000 lightyears away from that festering boil known as "The Bubble"
And that "war" is a mere, understandable, reaction to two attempts at genocide.
You all lost a lot of respect from the entire ax community with this upload....maybe its time that the ax pilots go on strike and let the bubble defend itself....plenty of other areas to fight thargoids whilst letting the bubble burn. This ax pilot is gonna sit back and watch from this moment forward. You all have fun eating your words. Screenshots, btw so it doesn't get silenced.
Does it seem strange that the Titans seem to be always destroyed on the weekends. BS…. Also want about the frozen instances while trying to do damage to a Titan; which a player gets nothing. Expect a waste of time. Frontier Dev is cr$&p.
I'd have thought the weekend is when most people are available to get online so coincidentally that's when the most damage to titan can occur. I was traveling Friday night game time and was surprised it had already fallen when I got to my PC. Fortunately I tagged it Thursday
Why is it strange? Thursday, during the server reboot, is when the controlled systems are recalculated. When the servers come back up the Titan is either vulnerable or it isn't. If it's vulnerable people start shooting it, meaning it goes down friday, saturday or sunday.
Not really, A Titan is going to be vulnerable or not on Thursday after the tick. Obvious it'll be destroyed around the weekend.
First galnet news digest *L*
Why?
@@BrasswatchmanUs AXI pilots were being called "murderers" because we killed people at Titan Hadad for orthrus farming. Mind that this all took place in an *ANARCHY* system.
